Love traveling with western guys. They’re adventurous and good with direction. They are relaxed and travel light. No shopping for me, though. Shopping is not vacation.

Yes, a detailed schedule is always wanted (though the severity of the scheduling has gradually been relaxed as that's my #1 gripe). YES, the organized tours....oh my hell...drive me NUTS. Only if I solo travel in China do I get to NOT take part in those exhausting organized tours...otherwise it is a requirement. Fortunately since I also speak Japanese, I can take over that issue whenever we travel in Japan. I laughed when I saw you following your wife as she wore the traditional kimono...I got to spend a very cold and blustery day following my wife around Kyoto last Chinese New Year as she fulfilled her bucket list of kimono touring. And yes, I agree with you 100% Winston....I HATE the waiting for the "famous local eatery" and shopping as well. Fortunately after 14 years of marriage, we have agreed to have some "alone time" when we travel so as both of us can do what we really want (drug store shopping for her and Geocaching for me).
well .. that's true .. but .. as an Asian living in the west more than half of my life .. I prefer the western way of traveling .. I feel enjoying my vacation and not rushing all the time. The idea of Vacationing is to relax. That's just my thought. Again, it's not right or wrong .. it's just my personal style and experience.
I think food being a priority is a very Asian thing NOT a Chinese thing. Tons of Asian Americans are into Yelp and Instagram posting about food or being a foodie and waiting in line for 2+ hours to try something good. I don't see other races doing that as much as Asians do.
She has a very pleasant, joyful, and refreshing aura about her. She's very feminine, has a cute face, and I like the way she speaks. She seems very authentic.
It would be interesting to watch Sasha conduct her own commentary in her own native dialect (Cantonese ) and express herself. I observe a lovely couple on screen - overseas Cantonese living in Australia since 1980.
As others have already commentated, you're a delightful young couple. The respectful way in which you interact in this video is a joy to watch. I too wish both of you the best for the future. Regarding the comments about shopping. I was discussing this with my students a while back - our speaking fluency development topic was gender differences - and arguably both men and women like to shop. The issue is what we are shopping for. There is overlap, and personal preferences need to be allowed for, but in general the majority of men and women are interested in different things. I will happily, for example, explore motorbike accessories, tree climbing equipment or books for hours. However, I absolutely hate shopping for things like clothes, shoes or food. In the case of anything like the latter, my motto is get in and get out as fast as possible. As for Sasha's empty bag routine, sorry mate but 100% with her on that. Evidence of good thinking in the financial department.
I am a recent subscriber, and what I enjoy most are your heart centered commentaries, it brings levels of genuineness which is refreshing. Your spouse is beautiful and has a great heart as well. Your channel is my new favorite. As a 68 year old man who grew up in various parts of the USA from the segregated South to the liberal North, I can relate to how you feel in general, and your struggles, in fact, you are living my dreams. Best wishes and hold on to your lovely wife, she is a gem. Love always and "stay awesome".
Great video, your wife gave very thoughtful answers. She mentioned wanting to have a schedule and see certain things. My wife is also Chinese, and likes to fit as many things as possible into one day when we travel. I don't really have more than one or two ideas for the day or even the whole trip sometimes. I think she sees just doing nothing as a waste of time maybe. Food is also a big consideration for my wife, whereas I don't really think anything of it, and will just wander into any place and have a try. It's good though I suppose, doing a little of both, it makes for a well rounded vacation.
OK, this makes sense....worked like a dog 40 days straight. now your job is a tour guide. ....we are at the beach. here is a palm tree, here is sand, and over there is ocean. .....let me give you more wikipedia usless info so you can too be a turist from a communist country, micromanaged & told what to do & when..... no way... I rather have a beer, relax & kick back.
'two thumbs up'! I've found that no matter how I 'schedule' stuff...(and I've been asked to...) it always changes at the last moment...I've learned not to make it too 'complicated', then nobody's disappointed.
J M No man. It's a Chinese thing. They just have a different attitude towards travel. If you sleep late and want a chilled out lazy day then you're....well just lazy. In my experience both Chinese men and women are shocked when their Western companions want to have a 'holiday'. I've lived in the Greater China area for 24 years.
I'm currently living in Japan. And while I have never been to China, I am about to use you and C-Milk as a really small sample size representing foreigners in China. I feel like China attracts more respectable foreigners. A lot of the foreigners I meet in Japan are very unfaithful and sleep around with any women they can. And, whatever. That's their business. What bothers me, is that they encourage that same life style on to me. They want me to behave in that way too. And to be honest, I just am not that kind of person. I prefer being in a relationship with somebody I care about, rather than sleeping with as many women as I can. I also don't believe in cheating. But I am surrounded by people who contradict my own ethical views, and it has really been bothering me lately. So seeing you can C-Milk in happy marriages, makes me happy. It shows me that my ethical codes are not wrong, and that I can find happiness in a style that I feel fits me. What I am saying, is that you are truly a good influence and representative of foreigners in China. And thank you for being an inspiration to me as well.
+TheZalor thanks mate! You'll find the same sort of nonsense going on here, just try and find good people that you can respect and get along with to hang out with. It took me years before meeting Cmilk and before that most of the expats I was dealing with were as you mentioned
Asian women are crazy about white men. A white man can easily get laid in Asian counties, even in Japan, which is richer and more advanced than most white coutries.
Xingmeng Liu No matter how rich Japan is. USA is the most powerful Country in the world though. And Hollywood is really a big deal. It's hard to deny that we are "affected" "educated" or "brainwashed". Older generation like my grandma, she never think even a single white man are handsome, every time she saw a white man on TV, she think their big nose is very funny and laugh.
I love planning the vacation schedule as much as the vacation itself. When I do research on vlogs, blogs, and reviews, it keeps me happy for months. I love watching travel programs and reading travel books so I don’t miss something unique in that area. Growing up in a Chinese culture, we are use to eating a little bit of everything during meals. Good food is very important.
shes really beautiful & seems to be really nice too. big fan of these videos cos theyre so honest. i think china has had bad press and these videos show that china is a great place.
Actually, as an American who lives in China, much of the bad press is completely deserved, IMO. Having said that, there is also much here that is wonderful, rare, and world class.
As a Chinese who lives in America, America should deserve a lot more bad press than China. Having said that, there is also much here that is wonderful, rare and world class.
You watch too much propaganda bro.. CCP lifted over 700 million people out of poverty. What did america do? Making wars and poverty? Don't even talk trash to me. "Freedom of speech" this joke is getting old. And no, PRC is not an oppressive police state.
If you want to argue about which is worse, it would be hard to say if the US is worse than China. The reverse is also true. I would also say, 700 million people weren't lifted out of poverty. The living situation for most people is better however, many live in deep poverty, even by Chinese standards. The US too has done many horrible things. For every example of the US doing something bad, there is at least one similar example of the Chinese government doing something similar though. If you really are Chinese, you probably already know this. Most Chinese people I know in China are pretty open about this kind of thing. As long as you also are open about where the US is bad too.
My wife is 55 years old and she has a deep desire to plan everything, especially vacation trips, menus, and perhaps a dozen other things. I like to "ride loose in the saddle," so to speak. Serendipity, Ka-Sarah-sarah.
Race is not even an issue here... travel preference/habits are a very personal thing and it varies from person to person. Why I enjoy travelling alone.
@@lepetitchat123 Nationality or perhaps more accurately, culture are the real culprits behind this. My partner is much the same because she's from Eastern Europe, there are expectations there that don't exist where i'm from, New Zealand. In NZ we are way too chill and easy going, more so than most, if not all, western countries.
Terry Davis Most men I know including myself have a clear concise object we want to purchase and have researched for months. On the day of? We walk in, maybe haggle the price, and walk out with it. I never walk into a shopping mall with no idea why I’m there and just impulse buy. My wife and daughters do. I don’t even like going to Cabelas and doing that.
@serpentza Half a year ago , Viveinne & Sasha had the similar English proficiency level.. But now Viveinne's spoken English is way better Sasha's ... Spending more quality time and talk more often to Shasa... you tough spy.

Yeah, I have to say for Chinese, FOOD is definitely the first priority of all our destinations!!! As I used to plan all trips with my Chinese friends, we really tend to pack as many schedules as possible in one day. Simply we have the mentality that don't waste our time and money if we visit a place, make every minute count and have an efficient trip! So very often I come back home feel more tired after a holiday... The other thing I would like to point out is that we girls really enjoy to prepare travel notes and write down detailed schedules (probably with stickers, drawings and colorful writings^^)...It adds to our cute memories and a sense of achievement. Now I travel all the time with my boyfriend - a foreigner, I do notice the difference and how easy we will decide just go for a trip without much planning. Relaxing trip, not necessarily need to go to all the tourist spots, spend quality time together. BUT FOOD IS STILL IMPORTANT!!!
Your detailed schedules did just tire you out, you did see that. You do not see anything more or better than going where you nose points to. May be with the help of a travel book.
Peter Kroll Different people have different way of traveling. I'm Chinese too. But sometimes I don't plane anything, if the place is really interesting, I even don't use the map to guide my way. I just walk around, whenever anything or place attract me, I stop there. Whenever I'm bored, I take a taxi or subway to another place to explore. So far mostly nice experience. But if I don't have much time, and there are some place I really don't want to miss. maybe I prefer a detailed schedules too.
Kemeng Wang yeah I agree it depends on how you would like to see the place within the time you have. I have no sense of direction so walking around without map I will easily get lost haha >.< lol
The thing is, most Asian women don't want to get dark in the sun, or maybe they just can't, so they don't want to just lay at the beach. Many Western men want to go to the beach, maybe drink beer and go in the water everyday. Thats what I do when I go on holiday. Beach and Beer. So Asian women mostly just want to shop and take some pictures if many different places to show their mothers or their friends.
@Stefan2SERB Ahhah) Birds of Masha chill together, bro) And, Alex, why should i have to be concerned about escaping Russia, if I'm not from there and not in there now? Not to mention that I've done this countless times in my life)
In a culture that values money more than anything else (you won't see a woman marry a man that makes less than her) it would make sense that the woman would like to appear to have rich life... which is expressed by how many rich things that she can say that she has done to her peers. The same is true in Canada, whereas a man main goal in a relationship is to do things that his girlfriend/wife can talk about proudly to their friends and family. In short, the value of your relationship directly depends on how her family and friends value you. So not so different, there are woman that will only go with men that are clean shaven, and wear a suit in all countries.... In a money based culture... money is how everything is seen. Sadly, we live is a very shallow money based world, and it has been that way ever since money was invented. I did visit a Mandarin Church, and they asked me about my money value and assets! During our introduction... I felt like it was a job interview... but this is normal for them to be open about your MONEY VALUE, frankly I wasn't interesting in impressing them, and felt very insulted that my money value was required. I felt like asking them... since we are going to be so direct... what are your physical measurements and what is your skill level as a wife? Obviously, no one wants to be valued only by what you can give... it is so insulting. Since then, I have loss my interest in the Chinese people and culture.
@@digitaldazzle5836 You should visit MegaChurch then, see those seat in middle? For rich and famous people and they are a major force in US. My father often call them HERETIC, but to lots of Republicans, they are the best way to support theirs party. (My father is a Republican as well).
That's a dreadful thing to happen especially in a church. I like this man and his wife, but I have completely gone off China. If he wasn't married to a Chinese woman, I don't think he'd be there. I still enjoy the videos though.☘
All straights facts. Thanks for the vid. I hated waiting for the best restaurants in Macau/Hong Kong and especially Shanghai. I never saw lines in Chongqing or Chengdu. It's fantastic when the wife can deal with all the communication issues.... 😎👍
Love your videos! I am from Mauritius. There are many mainland China tourists here and they love to take photos. FYI, there are direct flights from Hk to MRU.
I'm a woman and I hate shopping! Have you ever done any adventurous travelling by motorcycle? When I was in India and Nepal, I met a few couples who were travelling around the world by byke. I guess it's something you can do with her as she loves skydiving... Your wife is beautiful and funny: you are both very lucky to have each other!
Interesting as always. “Travel is like being at home”. That’s the way I like to do it...look for quiet village somewhere pleasant sand dunes or whatever, help out a bit with building or whatever the locals are doing, play some djembe if opportunity is there, cook communally, go for a few walks...what’s not to like? It’s great to try and settle in a bit locally if possible and get out of the tourist role which is hard work... It’s a privilege to hear firsthand impressions from Hu a native of this great country.
U have a wife that loves U dearly. Did she even ever hint that she or other Chinese girls /women, don't like to travel with .... , that U asked her why? No. But she tried to answer, without ever saying that U wronged, because of the high respect she has for U. Feel good about it.
I’ve been 2x in Middle East in the desert with a light pack and Italy from Alpine region to Pantelleria but visiting my wife’s family I need Sherpa Guides. And if I forget something no biggie I buy it there. Thank you for tip on importance of discovering the best restaurants. I’ll do that since my wife never told me this. Great show!!
Love you two. I have so much in common with you. Being from Jeddah, Saudi, lived with family all over the world & studied in the UK. I find you so fascinating. Teaching me on modern China a country that is so important in our lives. I have also travelled for business in the Far East.....
You guys make such a cute couple Winston! She has a very good sense of humour and you need to add her in more of your clips as she adds a very interesting facet to you. Thanks Bro, I always enjoy your clips but this one especially. Stay awesome!
I dated a Malaysian Chinese woman. When we went places, we usually didn't have a schedule, but we always found fun things to do. I find too many plans get in the way and flexibility is important.
6:05 This silly myth again. Winston, you LOVE shopping. It depends on the shop type, as Sasha correctly pointed out. And for women it is indeed not necessarily about the buying part either. That's more of a personal tendency and depending on the available budget. We might have to find a way to specify what this is really about, which probably is that men tendentially do shopping in a more targeted way, knowing what we want to buy in advance, while women like to explore and discover. But this, too, will depend a lot on the person. Not knowing what to expect, in the West that is desirable - a mysterious guy who surprises her, goes on spontaneous adventures, can react to whatever comes up.
My ex is Korean, she complained about not having everything planned. lol I like to plan on the fly. lol I hate sightseeing. I like adventure, doing things like scuba diving. I don't care about looking at buildings. lol
My wife was the same. She liked to plan our days where we would go and thing to see. It was good to plan our schedule because we actually got to do many more things. I could be satisfied lying on the beach all day until it was time to eat. You together make me smile

Ya yaya well you sure are a dumb, historically-illiterate fucker, aren’t you?
I like the lady, she's classy.

@@barnibizer Why wouldn't she?
She has a very pleasant, joyful, and refreshing aura about her. She's very feminine, has a cute face, and I like the way she speaks. She seems very authentic.
It would be interesting to watch Sasha conduct her own commentary in her own native dialect (Cantonese ) and express herself. I observe a lovely couple on screen - overseas Cantonese living in Australia since 1980.
Beautiful intro and ending.. with the drone shots with your wife there. I'm very jealous.
Love her style!
I echo what everyone else has said. That Woman is Gorgeous.
Christopher Miller
But she can’t speak English.
@@angusyates7078 How is your Chinese. Her English is quite good.
"gorgeous" falls short; we need to invent a new word to describe her.
She's "cute"
Pretty Chinese lady which not many Chinese women is up to her level of beauty~
Your wife is such a great person you should have her on your show more often.
OH MY GOD WINSTON YOU GUYS WENT TO MAURITUS WHAT that's where I'm from

I am a recent subscriber, and what I enjoy most are your heart centered commentaries, it brings levels of genuineness which is refreshing. Your spouse is beautiful and has a great heart as well. Your channel is my new favorite. As a 68 year old man who grew up in various parts of the USA from the segregated South to the liberal North, I can relate to how you feel in general, and your struggles, in fact, you are living my dreams. Best wishes and hold on to your lovely wife, she is a gem.
Love always and "stay awesome".
Thank you mate and welcome to the channel
Home run bro! She’s smart, fun and pretty. Thanks for sharing you guys! 🙏🏼
You can basicaly see that in a way everything for her is about discipline and prestige. And for him relaxation and the option to freely do anything.
Raising Shanghai Chinese have master the art of travel and I quite like it
OK, this makes sense....worked like a dog 40 days straight. now your job is a tour guide. ....we are at the beach. here is a palm tree, here is sand, and over there is ocean. .....let me give you more wikipedia usless info so you can too be a turist from a communist country, micromanaged & told what to do & when..... no way... I rather have a beer, relax & kick back.
Nah im pretty sure its just a woman thing. Not like this is something unique to asians lmfao
They worship white people.
Only for green cash!
don't expect to much hahaha that was funny stuff sasha your a funny lady
I love planning the vacation schedule as much as the vacation itself. When I do research on vlogs, blogs, and reviews, it keeps me happy for months. I love watching travel programs and reading travel books so I don’t miss something unique in that area.
Growing up in a Chinese culture, we are use to eating a little bit of everything during meals. Good food is very important.
Beautiful video - I really enjoyed this conversation - thanks a lot!
Happy Couple! Happy Holiday!
shes really beautiful & seems to be really nice too. big fan of these videos cos theyre so honest. i think china has had bad press and these videos show that china is a great place.
FAN ZHEN that was very articulate and too the point comment

That's not an Asian habit. That's a Female habit. As a man, it's like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Maybe the title should be, "Why this Chinese woman does not like travelling with this Western man", 😂🤣😂🤣
Race is not even an issue here... travel preference/habits are a very personal thing and it varies from person to person. Why I enjoy travelling alone.
@@lepetitchat123 Nationality or perhaps more accurately, culture are the real culprits behind this.
My partner is much the same because she's from Eastern Europe, there are expectations there that don't exist where i'm from, New Zealand.

It's not that men hate shopping, it's that we don't like shopping for the same things.

He is a good looking guy oops I said it now I am in trouble ;p
Your boyfriend must be very lucky to travel with you! (even if he is second after food XD )
Dear no ,you can only represent yourself ,not Chinese,I don't care food.
Beach and Beer? That sucks man. Try to vary, how about Bitches and Bears? I swear, you won't get bored!
Dudes name is Bogart Humphrey in Cyrillic he’s definitely got access to the chronic
@Stefan2SERB Ahhah) Birds of Masha chill together, bro) And, Alex, why should i have to be concerned about escaping Russia, if I'm not from there and not in there now? Not to mention that I've done this countless times in my life)
isnt that all women
That's pretty spot on
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Great insights into a country and culture otherwise very closed, even after living here for years now.
You guys are sooo cute together. In the intro when you looked down at her and smiled- awwww 🥰
Doug C... sorry to hear about that. That church was probably wicked and evil anyway. Most churches are apostate in China.
@@digitaldazzle5836 You should visit MegaChurch then, see those seat in middle? For rich and famous people and they are a major force in US.
My father often call them HERETIC, but to lots of Republicans, they are the best way to support theirs party. (My father is a Republican as well).
It's called hypergamy, even before money women always picked the strongest with the best cave, it's good for human evolution.
That's a dreadful thing to happen especially in a church. I like this man and his wife, but I have completely gone off China. If he wasn't married to a Chinese woman, I don't think he'd be there. I still enjoy the videos though.☘

Winston, this really needs to be in its own playlist with your other Asian dating videos.

I dated a Malaysian Chinese woman. When we went places, we usually didn't have a schedule, but we always found fun things to do. I find too many plans get in the way and flexibility is important.
Malaysians are easier going.
Thai girlfriend and i just went no schedule. We love going to temples, caves, waterfalls. So much fun
It's good to be spontaneous sometimes.
My ex is Korean, she complained about not having everything planned. lol
I like to plan on the fly. lol I hate sightseeing.
