I watch this part of the DJ Shipley interview every single morning before work. DJ has had such a huge impact on my life in such a positive angle. The dedication and sacrifice those in the armed forces make for each soul in the US and abroad. There is not enough gratitude I can give for the gift given to live free. Untold amounts of respect and thanks for your service!! Personally means the world to me and precious family!! Cheers!! TG Veterinary Technician/Nurse On the morning 20 minute walk, you can hear the ropes on a flag pole knocking the metal pole. Almost as if the flags are waving at DJ.
DJ is probably my favorite one of these operators who is now talking about their time served and their way of life. He’s humble and calm, but you can tell at any moment, he could take on a whole group of people.
DJ is a piece of shit father and his dad called him out on it publicly and they’ve since never seen eye to eye. So Take what ever Dj says with a grain of salt on Don. To add some context; DJ married Patty Dietz (Danny Dietz, the that was killed in OPRW) only a few months after Danny had died. While going on deployments DJ had cheated on her with loads of different women. He made a alternate Instagram page that he hid from his teammates and her to message them on. She eventually found out and while going through the messages, she found that he had gotten one of them pregnant. DJ being a shitbag that he is, completely left the mother and the kid hanging. No calls, no visits, nothing. This pissed DJ’s dad off and he called him out on it. Don and Diane Shipley are raising that kid themselves to this day. He is a trash bag! If he is your Favorit Ewwwww!
honestly even just him saying go to starbucks and sit there and watch people while you have your coffee. that is the nail on the head. you want to be alone, so you stay alone, and its a viscous cycle. Just a fantastically good and educated view on depression truly
Dj is one hell of a motivational speaker. His interview w Shawn Ryan is one hell of an interview as well. As a Leo, he makes you just want to be better all around.

im from italy with my gf from Chicago, a lot of respect to DJ Shipley and for all the fallen and standing navy seal delta force marines and all the others. huge quantity of things my brain goes trough while listening to his story, compassion and imagination in the first place, pain and sadness right after and many questions I would like to ask but knowing that every answer I would get I would never really understand it till I experience it myself. being in the special forces put you in a place(mentally) that I believe no one can understand till you're in, constantly between the bottom or surviving just for a deeper feeling you have inside that makes you feel fulfilled and that you're ready to die for it, but knowing you have at home your wife and kids. its heavy stuff that not everybody can get. Once again, huge respect from me.

Many thanks to DJ Shipley for his frank acknowledgement of his experience when going in with The Teams and the cost of wanting to be the best and overcoming the emotional fallout of the same. This should be a source of inspiration in teaching the young generation that there is a price to be paid when you aim to be the best on anything or simply overcoming obstacles in life that are there for the purpose of making you try harder and never give up. May God protect him and his family, and with the rewards equal to his sacrifice.
My life has honestly changed for the better since this and other interviews with this man, and that is a first. Usually stories are stories, but his hit hard. And it got me training hard again. I was on a "break", but wtf do I need a break for??. Dude is wiser than many of those way beyond his years, you can tell he's seen and been though hell. Was lots of it self-inflicted off the battlefield? Maybe, but he's not the first SEAL i've heard speak that had that kind of mindset. Just go hard all the time, consequences aren't even a thought, it's all about you because your youth rips by, lots of pressure to achieve so much within it. His words are both inspiring and cautionary. If you see this DJ, thanks man.
Your story has hit home with me and depression . Had no idea what you were going to talk about. I just have an admiration for Seals and what they do! Thank you

You are one hell of a person DJ... I am now watching this video twice in a row and I want to say thank you for your service... Both then and now! You and the other persons of the armed forces made/make this freedom we have today a reality that we here stateside take quite for granted. I thank you for your sharing of your story to us all. I wanted to say that I have never seen the sacrifice that you and others have made for us all to live the life we live in this free country.... your words have an impact and what you speak is quite amazing to make others like myself, want to self-reflect and realize that we do not put in that 100% everyday, but reach inside for excuses to why we can't vs. why we can. You and your brothers' stories and words are amazing to put into a perspective of what sacrifice has been given and forsaken, and just hope you know how inspiring the words you speak in this interview are!! Much love to you and yours!!!

D.J. comes across as a very humble but committed warrior. No ego, no bravado, no social media hyped "influencer" trying to sell something.....just a man that has walked the walk. True leadership in my opinion.
you've got those two points absolutely backwards. The guy is a total pos and has pimped his trident every step of the way out of Dam Neck where he isn't even welcome anymore
this documentary is cold blooded. good shit. its nice to see well produced documentaries on everyday people and not just sports, that can share their story to inspire. I coudnt imagine being a SEAL at 19. I was drinking 40s at the mall and playing Tony hawk when some of these photos were taken.
His father is great man to. Don is an OG of the seals and part of there back of the seals without question. Awesome that DJ followed in his father’s footsteps but a long beyond imaginable journey.
DJ Shipley's journey is nothing short of extraordinary, and hearing him share his experiences on this documentary is incredibly inspiring. His story from SEAL Team Six is a testament to resilience and dedication in modern warfare. I remember reading about his exploits and being in awe of his bravery and skill. This podcast promises to be a compelling exploration of leadership, courage, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in the face of adversity.

Pretty moving story, thanks for sharing and thanks for serving so I have the freedom to safely sit here in middle American and watch your story. I really love what you said about depression and wanting to be alone. I don't have any issues, if I wake up unhappy, I can just stop and tell myself, smile and be happy then go about my day and I am happy. People suffering depression lack that ability. I have a 15 year old daughter who knows she has 0 reason to be depressed, but she is, and I am totally going to tell her next time, yeah I know you would rather sit here in your bedroom alone with the door closed, but that's what you always do, time to get out and go do something. Thanks again for all of it!
Wow great production! I seen interviews of DJ Shipley before but it was made so much better with the better camera angles, extra film footage of him doing other things, his memorabilia, and the music. You all did a fantastic job.
DL is a HERO many times over for what he had done and does and not the least of it is talking about his own struggles - he is still saving lives. He talks about what SO many people don't understand about SO Many MEN. It is easier to face being shot at and death than talking about how you feel inside and admit you are vulnerable. So many guys just "eat it" , push it down and keep going.... If you haven't watched his 4hour+ interview with Shawn Ryan on his channel you need to watch it!
Beautiful family, DJ. I watch your Dad and Mom's RUclips videos because they help awareness, and they are 40 minutes south of where I live. It wasn't your time to go...you are telling this story to help heal others.

Much love and respect brother. Thanks for talking about how to deal with these things. My service and experiences are different than yours, but I can see how some things are not so different. None of us know what tomorrow will bring, but today you have made a difference.
Dj and Cole and there's a few others Shaun Ryan, that have are the ultimate warriors , and have bettered the country and people of the country in many ways ,and in todays society people and i myself needs to see that level accountability, sacrafice, responsibility, to not settle for mediocre, but push to try to be the best person possible and be better everyday than you were yesterday. Helps motivate me to get up and do something stop mediocre and strive to be better, I absolutely believe when others see that level of humbleness, because I understand it better it's not about going to the gym just to look better or always about self ,but it's about making the world around you better , and we can damn sure use alot of that , not letting the team down whatever your team might be always strive to make it better.
DJ Shipleys' closing questions in this documentary resonate with me. I've been dealing with alcoholism for the last 4 years (and acutely the last year and a half), and despite knowing/understanding the negatives of my addiction, it has been consistently hard for me to stop. I know that drinking is not making myself or my family better, and that it is making my relationships worse, but it is hard to stop.

Cheers!!

On the morning 20 minute walk, you can hear the ropes on a flag pole knocking the metal pole. Almost as if the flags are waving at DJ.
DJ is probably my favorite one of these operators who is now talking about their time served and their way of life. He’s humble and calm, but you can tell at any moment, he could take on a whole group of people.
Agreed
Easily, DJ is the real deal. Him and Cole Fackler. Straight up tip of the spear, these 2 are the only 2 i really take seriously.

Thank you sooo much for sharing, I needed to here this and experts message you’ve communicated.
Much love Jacob
What journey & what bravery you endured.telling your story with the negatives and positives in order to help others…bravo🤙
honestly even just him saying go to starbucks and sit there and watch people while you have your coffee. that is the nail on the head. you want to be alone, so you stay alone, and its a viscous cycle. Just a fantastically good and educated view on depression truly
Dj is one hell of a motivational speaker. His interview w Shawn Ryan is one hell of an interview as well. As a Leo, he makes you just want to be better all around.
dude..... the VERY best interview I have seen out of hundreds and maybe thousands I have watched. DJ is incredibly eloquent and detailed in his stories, he makes you live it.
Freak Accident Left me severley injured. Barley able to walk. In that dark place for a long time. That place he spoke of, I want to get out of it but its been so difficult, and he's right, no one cares. Lost a Marine brother last year. He was tormented for years and never told me how bad. I knew he had demons but I thought the rest of us around him were doing enough. He left us and there's not a single person in the world who doesn't miss him. Wish I could have shown you this Mikey. Maybe things would have worked out differently.
One of the best and most meaningful videos I've ever watched. Bless you brother glad you're still here.
A) Glad you made it home.
B) Thank you for being in this video. It will and has helped many.
C) Like a lot of people who have watched your mom and dad's parodies, I hope you inherited some of their sense if humor.
im from italy with my gf from Chicago, a lot of respect to DJ Shipley and for all the fallen and standing navy seal delta force marines and all the others. huge quantity of things my brain goes trough while listening to his story, compassion and imagination in the first place, pain and sadness right after and many questions I would like to ask but knowing that every answer I would get I would never really understand it till I experience it myself. being in the special forces put you in a place(mentally) that I believe no one can understand till you're in, constantly between the bottom or surviving just for a deeper feeling you have inside that makes you feel fulfilled and that you're ready to die for it, but knowing you have at home your wife and kids. its heavy stuff that not everybody can get. Once again, huge respect from me.
DJ is an American hero. I’m glad he’s still here, he has a lot of important things to say. God bless him.
Don’t forget deadbeat father . He cheats on his dead seal “brothers” widow and gets the chick pregnant and abandons the kid when his wife finds out . Real role model
@@JoeRogansForehead don't forget a back stabber and a straight up racist snake as well
@@JoeRogansForehead Hey friend, so what it is, are war widows off limits forever? Shit happens brother, shit happens! Now, there was a lot of bunk information flowing around the community, including Don Sr. and momma trashing Patsy Shipley (Dietz) Here's the thing brother. Not sure if you are in the community or not. But shit is tough especially in Ship's world. Is he the first cat to cheat on his wife? No! Is he the first SEAL to cheat and go back to his wife. Whatever is going on, it doesn't help anyone for you or other cats to throw shit out there that we no very little about. Ship got himself into a shit sandwich, and it has splintered relationships with his own folks, as well as his wife as well as his child and former side-chick.
Lastly friend, nobody aspires to be a role model. It just happens. He's a role model for taking it to the tip of the spear, not Hubby of the year

So moved by this documentary and deeply grateful for DJ’s wisdom and transparency. Thank you

PTSD is the "I'm fine" jail we put ourselves in and can't be breached without saying help me
Your story has hit home with me and depression .

This is one of the few men who DESERVE this! DJ Shipley and his father are two of some of the greatest examples of the American soldier. Great job!

D.J. comes across as a very humble but committed warrior.

Powerful !! Thank you !! 👏🏽❤️
