I hope you can find your happy place in life because I once was in a dark place wanting to escape. I realized that the aftermath would hurt others and the bullies wouldn't care so by carrying on I would annoy the bullies more. God bless and take care.
As a Kenyan, We love you and we thank you for your service and most specifically your act of valour on that day. If and when I become president of Kenya, I will grant you citizenship of our great nation and the order of the golden heart(highest honour).
Chris is a real hero. A real British man. A man with morels and heart. This is a man that the UK armed forces should be 100% proud of. Who dares wins, is Mantra of the SAS, the SAS that was established in WW2. This is a Britain to be proud of, a man to be proud of. God bless Chris.
I was in the British Army as a youth -74 -JLRAc(he would know) me and Chris have correasponded about this just cannot/cannot begin to begin to comprehend this MAN/situation at the time -what the heck??Humbling lots of love great love and every success in TEXAS lad timothy
I Was in the Armed Forces and these People are a Different Breed there keep everyone safe 24/7 and Should be allowed Freedom of speech as He has Earned it and what you Said I couldn't of Put It better Myself Bro
Thank you, Chris. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your life. Thank you for telling your story. Thank you for following the voice of God. But, more importantly, thank you for bringing Him into the conversation. Be blessed.
I enlisted and served at the same time as Chris, quiet guy in bass training, but you could just tell, he had something about him……..an aura. You could just tell there was something, I’m appalled at the way our sniveling government have treated this absolute warrior (and if you are reading these responses Chris…….from one Paratrooper to another……. You are a warrior, and we ALL have your back, trust me “we are here, send us” if you ever need support. Trump was the only politician to show this warrior any respect. Me……I’m just glad there are people out there like you (and me) that believe life is important over orders…….you did what was humanly right brother.
The present sniveling, quisling frauds in the same office would never acknowledge or meet him- he represents EVERYTHING they are NOT- honor, courage, dedication, integrity, faith….yet they are still entrenched in power in the swamp, like blood sucking ticks imbedded in the skin of this once great country.
The UK political class is a disgusting joke. Snivelling is the perfect descriptor. The way you treat your finest says a lot - Kristian - a man who single handedly saved over 700 hostages - gets no coverage. Meanwhile utter morons are given endless air time. I left a few years ago - can't stand the backwards attitude any more.
@@kenyaleo8771 You say recce, be more specific, SRR, Pathfinders, RC ? What did he say to discredit them ? That is something I haven’t seen or something I’ve missed.

I have been waiting for this book and full story for years hopefully one day THEY will allow it to be published...His words will hit home to a great number of people especially with the state of the world at this moment...Thank you Christian for making a warrior nation proud.
Son ended up sat opposite him in a restaurant 2 years ago in Hereford. Chris was sat there with a close family member, he straight away noticed my son had clocked him - he just nodded at my son and smiled. Son left him be - would have been rude to interrupt him.
They would had done so, but the British government refuse to give him permission to reveal any details of what he did. They also denied him permission to publish his book.
not enough words can express the amount of respect to this humble man - he restores my faith in humanity. Chris in my mind is a true hero, It would be an honour to buy this man a cup od tea and slice of cake. Enjoy the rest of your life Chris and may God watch over such a good man.
As an ex- British Army "Hat!' Chris makes me proud of the service and sacrifice of our UK special forces professionals. The people of Nairobi were blessed you found yourself deployed to their country. May the force be with you Nairobi Wun Kenobi...
Shout, with the current political climate with anti British sentiments and revisionism of our proud history this chap answers with himself. #GreatBritain 🇰🇪🇬🇧📚🙏😊
I served and met a bunch of British dudes in Afghanistan. Loved those guys. Those guys are no joke, funny as hell too. To hell with our governments. 🇺🇸
What an absolutely extraordinary man Chris is. I have nothing but total respect for this mans service to his country and for the service he did that day in Nairobi. An incredible soldier and for what he did he deserves to live the rest of his life however he wishes in peace. As a former British soldier I am incredibly proud of this man and thank him for the great service he provided.
What an absolutely remarkable individual, his common traits that I've noticed about him is his manner and humble self opinion reminds me of my uncle who served in Vietnam , Borneo and Malaya in the 60s and he was a squad member of NZ SAS V troop , uncle never ever spoke about why he won his Queens combat service award , they are a breed apart these men
I've worked with sas twice in Iraq, and my best friend was the ammo store man on the barracks, they are the nicest, down to earth guys, very professional, a little bit crazy, but my God do not cross them
@@dannyhudson5115I love hearing of the gags they like to play on their US counterparts and vice versa, they pull some hilarious well planned and executed pranks
This man is beyond a hero! In his own words } Last time i fucking checked the motto of 22 SAS was WHO DARES WINS not who askes permission wins!} Respects man.
I can’t wait for the day for when he’s legally allowed to tell the real story of what happened that. British government stopped him from publishing his book
Idk if it’s even about legality at this point, if the full details do get released then what also gets released is the SAS playbook, tactics, everything. The last thing anyone should do is tell people how they work in this field because if your enemy learns your approach, your tactics, your weapons, you are screwed. It would be cool to listen to Christian criaghead tell everyone exactly what went on but it would also have negative ramifications.
@GigaChad-tr4zj that's ridiculous, he didn't do any secret special SAS insertion, he ran in, did basic CQB tactics and killed the terrorists. The fact that the British say that they told him not to intervene is nuts and completely political. Why wouldn't they praise this man and champion him? There's a reason why he moved to the US, he met President Trump and his government was pissed he didn't ask them first. He's now working towards American citizenship, im glad he's on our team now!
Im only nine minutes in and lstening to the Isiah quote….. Whatever l, I am simply grateful that there are Chris Craighead’s in the world who love their sisters and brothers like themselves …………. Good man Great job Thank you
What u said at the 40 min mark hit me hard. Your entire message was relatable and had my attention. But the 40 mark pushed me over the edge. It gave me the power to take the chance. I messaged a friend for support to discuss what ive never discussed with anyone. I love life and although not suicidal, didn't realize my actions to cope with the scars of war, were the same and only result in an early end. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. My kids will be thankful for your story.
They said he should 've waited until backup arrived, and scolded him for entering the building by himself, without permission. His response: "Last time I checked the motto of the SAS is 'WHO DARES WINS' Not who stops and asks for permission. LEGEND
It’s too good to end up in a box office for our entertainment that everyone will forget 1 month later. The mystery of that day, knowing the outcome but none of the details elevates it somehow. No movie will ever do it justice and no other human should take his place in the making of said movie. It’s Gods story to tell and one day he will.
I concur. Sounds very much like an Angel of the Lord in the way he spoke and in the way he disappeared after delivering the message he came to deliver.
He's not so embarrassed now telling the story. You could see at first while telling the story, him saying with out saying it. I was just doing my job. That's a true hero. We all have our paths to walk in this life. There's nothing any of use can do about it.
How can you *not* love this guy? I love his attitude and his willingness to self sacrifice for others. He is a truly brave person. I love that he is a brother in Christ as well. It really says something bad about the British Government that they chased him out of the SAS and Britain because of his exposure. That country is really headed in the wrong direction when it is expelling it's heroes. We in the States are lucky to have him here now.
Hmm, historically SAS operators have had a lot of latitude in what they do. They may pay a price later, if the shit hits the fan, but they are expected to use initiative. It’s one of the key strengths of the regiment. However, Christian was recognised with a medal for his Kenyan exploits , so I assume that he lives in the US as a personal choice. Also, he probably feels he can blend into the background better there than back home
USA! Please look after our hero…! Our governments (across the ages) have always been a total disgrace! And this is proof in the pudding! I really wish Chris still lived amongst us but sadly it was not meant to be! I live near Hereford and always feel safer knowing our Hereford boys r there….. stay safe Chris, our loyal and admirable British angel 👼🏻 🇬🇧❤️ you deserve nothing but the very best life now! May god bless and keep you! 😘 ❤
38:38 I gave up a little over a year ago and attempted suicide. After combat, I suffered so many terrible negative life events. From divorce, to having to leave my child, who I loved more than anyone I’ve ever loved times a thousand, to DUI, to a VA doctor ruining my life all over again, and subsequently losing trust in the healthcare that is designed for us, so I wasn’t getting help anymore. I’m not sure how I survived that suicide attempt, as I made the knot impossible to undo so I couldn’t back out. But that day God told me that there was a reason I went through all of that, and why I survived that attempt, and I immediately started a non-profit in scuba therapy to help guys that are struggling. I don’t have a website yet, else I would have shamelessly self promoted here. If someone reading this has combat PTSD I HIGHLY encourage you to try SCUBA, as it is one thing that almost everyone can do, and is so therapeutic and meditative.
I don't know you, and I very well may be wrong, but I can say that this message is you blaming a lot of outside factors on your decisions. You can fix this.
Honestly I'm not a SF operator by any means I'm just a guy from uk foing through a break up lost my job, 2 autistic kids. I've sat st my local lake pondering just jumping in, because I've had depression and feel lost and like I have no purpose. But now got to keep going. I resonate in so many ways and to hear Chris say he possibly has no other meaning is heart breaking; as I'm sure theres many others like me who he has absolutley inspired to keep going. absolutley massive respect to this guy. I hope you find some peace and meaning mate absolutley top bloke x
I’m sorry to hear of you feeling this way. Maybe like that gentleman coming into Chris’ life to guide him to a bigger goal, maybe that will happen with you also ❤️
keep going my man, in my 43 years in this world my parents had a very messy break up as a kid,, in my teens mu Dad fell 56 foot off a roof and was in a coma for 6 months, shortly followed by my Gran Grandad and Uncle all dying within 3 months, then into adult life I was made redundant a week before my son was born, we then lost 2 unborn babies, then got divorced (and got royally screwed) then Covid redundant again!!, but as I look back now things were scary at the time but things do get better!
Its okay to feel alone, its okay to feel broken, its okay to feel like you have no purpose but remember that whatever life hands you its your life, you have people who care you just can't see it, you will be fixed its coming and lastly you have a purpose in life Dad- you are a Father and what better reason to go on? I wish you well, I wish you success, you are one step ahead of most because you have humility. Good luck my friend from a happily married Father who was a homeless wreck 20 years back.
My mantra is that of my fav teacher at school when we played football. He always told us to pass the ball forward, not backward. There are many more chances forward. My brother,I also have had many hammer blows in my life,so many no one would belive me,and the severity of them. If you could see the 1 room I live in now, compared to my life 3 years ago you would be shocked. I laugh about it,I tell my mates I've got an ensuite bathroom, lounge, and kitchen. But yeh,it does hurt deep down. Keep passing the ball forward brother.
Im a cynical old bastard, but i found this to be really inspirational. Ive listened toa few pods with Christian before. Thank you for posting. This is excellent.
My dad was called Christian, but he has unfortunately passed away. I knew about your story in Nairobi. I have watched it over and over, and every time I watch it I get extremely emotional. When you picked up the stranger and had the experience of his voice being everywhere the whole thing got me in my heart .Then towards the end you say if things are going wrong not getting the job etc don't give up . I think watching you again today this stuck in my mind..I would like to say thank you so much for making this video and hopefully one day your book your story will be out there for all to see your bravery is not to be forgotten. You saved so many lives and I don't understand why you can't be celebrated for doing so. Sending you lots of love and hope that you are feeling much better from within. ❤❤❤
Agreed!! I’m just bummed out that he is being forced to lie. Well not “forced to lie” but to be able to tell the story: he’s been given permission by his true mates, to tell stories that aren’t his own, to get to the point. It sounds stupid but I feel that in a few years it will all make sense. The ministry of defence i can only assume just doesn’t want the world to know that the uksf trains Kenyan sf. Dunno why cos it’s well known. I guess they don’t want people knowing “the full operational procedure” all at once. It actually makes no sense because it’s making Chris hurt inside I can see it, he looks happy but I can tell he is hurting. I don’t care if Chris himself tells me he isn’t. I can tell that he’s been through extensive “MOD THERAPY”, with that whole “my whole life was leading to this moment… the trauma I received I was able to give back out to the correct people that day” is exactly the type of stuff a psychologist will convince you of to “free your mind of burden” which he ABSOLUTELY deserves. Make no mistake: I love this man. Dearly. You cannot know how much I care for him unless you are one of 7 other people i know. You might know how much if youre his mate and live in Texas… he might have told you about “us” but I dunno. I just want him to be able to tell the story properly. This is messed up man. Brother I’m here for you anytime. I’m in Scotland rn waiting on “OZ” to show up at the “boss house” but no such luck. He left a note a while back… I’m coming over to Texas in September brother. Can’t wait to see you. I’m just assuming you’re going to read this somehow. Not my style but f it. At this stage I don’t know wtf im supposed to do other than hit “go live” and prove that I know stuff and tell my story so that Chris can fully tell his. But maybe I ruin everything instead 🙈🙈🙈💀 We are really being screwed here
…Deeply moving video…I, too, dearly care for Chris and his inner well being and for his future endeavors. One day I hope for my path to cross with his. It would be an honor to do so. Highest regards to and for him. Special thoughts and prayers from SW Louisiana to our ObiWanNairobi🙏🏻 Welcome Home Chris 🇺🇸We Love You🇺🇸 “May God bless you many times this day” and forevermore.🙏🏻
Followed Chris ever since the event in Kenya, the section about suicide really hit home and resonated with me, just inspires to me to be a better man each day and keep pushing through. Chris, you’re a legend!
"Don't let the bastards grind you down". On point. I was abused by a narcissist. Self love, self care, self healing. Keep fighting the good fight. 🇬🇧💂♂️🤙❤
Christopher has helped many by saying don't give up and talking to the people that are depressed. I have so much respect for him and what he has done. He definitely had an Angel there with him that day. That's is totally awesome. I am glad that he knows that. I would thank him for his service and saving so many lives.. and tell him that I am glad that he found his ' true calling in life . I didn't realize that he can't tell his story in Britain. This world is messed up. His book would help so many more people. Thank you for doing this video. He is a true warrior.
This man doesn’t need to lie. You can tell he is so free now for telling the truth, even though it’s bits and parts, but I can sense that he feel so much happier now in his words reaction to that day that he has to relive over and over and over in these interviews must be the hardest thing ever But also Tragically emotionally exhausting. Our lives and role is all written in 📕. We all need to learn how to surrender and find peace in faith inLove and him.
Christian your a god damn hero, I know how it feels brother being left, it isn't just the Service Persons but the support people as well. God bless you xx
From a former British Soldier I can say this. The Iranian Embassy Siege brought to our attention that day the SAS and from then onwards we knew we had something special. Some of us can say with pride we served alongside these men and I also have the pleasure of my father being a former blade RIP Dad. Now Chris has taken the SAS to another level by his actions for our new generation. He is everything the British Armed Forces needs. He rewrote the rule book that day. Never doubt yourself Never doubt your fears - they keep you going Never say No Never, never fail to win no matter what because those that Dare - WIN.
Rusty from team blue suffered from ptsd after operation nimrod. He also killed the terrorist who executed the one and only hostage. It's easy for people to see exceptional blokes, who do deserve the title of heroes. But i also hope that the public care for these guys beyond their uniforms. Some soldiers fight unseen battles that the public can never understand. But it think it would be important to point that out. Life isn't a hollywood action movie. When you realize the small margins that soldiers have to play with between life and death you must be humbled. I was only a lowly recruit during peace time in the 90's here in Sweden so what the hell do i know. SAS though has always had a special place in my heart.
@@Tyrfingr true. I worked for SSAFA for a few years and helped service personnel and veterans many by picking them up and helping them back on their feet. Biggest issues have always been told to me by them is the fact they feel lost, disconnected to civilian life and sadly the attitude of organisations that don’t see us as worthy employees.
@@TyrfingrI hope Rusty is doing better now. I've met a few ex squaddies of all kinds and always have time for them. They were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice and that is worthy of respect.
@@Tyrfingr I've known about a dozen SAS. Some have probs and some don't. I've asked some who have seen years of combat or missions whether any of it bothered them and most have said "no."

David Stirling, Jock Lewes, Paddy Mayne and all the original fathers of the SAS would be smiling down at Christian for what he did in Nairobi. Forget those Sandhurst MOD bastards Christian. All us Brits who follow your story have nothing but pride respect for your actions. Keep fighting to get your story out, it deserves to be heard. Who Dares Wins!
I hope Chris has look into the lives of the ones he saved in Nairobi, you might be surprised what some of these people have achieved and giving back in life to others, God put you on a mission, look around and see why you were there.
I have been struggling with many demons and not able to focus to get my job done. I have not even been able to sit down to write out the tasks so i can ask for help. Listening to the firat 30 minutes somehow got me to sit down and focus on what i have to do in order to get help and to do my job. Christian, thank you for doing so many interviews. I have heard the story of Nairobi many times, but this hit me differently. Thank you.
I hope Chris realizes how powerful his words are. Stories and lessons from heroes like Chris can change your whole biology. Thank you would be the biggest understatement of the year 🙏🙏🙏
He so right. Us men are just tuned to always use the "yeah I'm okay im fine" I still do it myself all the time when I'm not really okay and every man is guilty of it. There's no shame in saying "no I'm not okay I feel like sht actually" I've learned it the hard way but getting better and being honest with myself. Speak out when you need to guys it takes more strength and courage to be honest about your feelings than suffering in silence! Craig Fairhead, the man god sent to put fear into evil itself 🙏🏽

Considering he comes from a truly macho environment, he's brutally honest about some of the stuff he talks about, without any comeback. i can't wait until we hear the full story. What he did that days was pure intervention from another world. He had the light on his side, and nothing can defeat that light. One of the only SAS blokes that I could listen too all day long. He's a human warrior... and a spiritual one too.... powerful.
A reluctant role model but every word from Chris is golden. I would love to meet him and spend a day in his company. Probably be the worst day of his life but it would make my year.
Struggling for the last year and a half at the lowest point of my life , split from my wife of 25 years. Turned to drugs , left my trade due to heartbreak and depression after becoming a weekend dad to my two daughters . To be ready 24hrs a day, an under threat 24 hours a day I am writing this book, and I know the Lord wants me to mention him Or it will not be a success
What he says about some people being wolves and others sheepdogs is so true in life , I grew up with over 20 guys who I hung about with but I can only name a few who would stand by me when there was trouble and not need to be asked but then claim credit for things that they didn't do that's a sheepdog and you Don't want them looking out for you when they don't get anything in return for example.

It might have survived if the other candidate had won. Because there would be more war footage to watch I imagine.
Shawn Ryan had an analyst on yesterday who was fairly confident that Trump would win.
He sadly also pointed out the type of underhanded tactics we could expect last minute, for example:
District of Columbia: “92.6% Harris vs 6.72% Trump”
I’m aware that those two numbers don’t make 100% but there must be spoiled ballots & a local independent candidate.
In all seriousness though my brother, even if you don’t agree with my political views or any of my views: these two shows “podcasts” is more accurate. They still stand. Because they show the “narrative” and then speak to independent experts.

Idk if it’s even about legality at this point, if the full details do get released then what also gets released is the SAS playbook, tactics, everything. The last thing anyone should do is tell people how they work in this field because if your enemy learns your approach, your tactics, your weapons, you are screwed. How can you *not* love this guy? I love his attitude and his willingness to self sacrifice for others. He is a truly brave person. I love that he is a brother in Christ as well.

Honestly I'm not a SF operator by any means I'm just a guy from uk foing through a break up lost my job, 2 autistic kids. keep going my man, in my 43 years in this world my parents had a very messy break up as a kid,, in my teens mu Dad fell 56 foot off a roof and was in a coma for 6 months, shortly followed by my Gran Grandad and Uncle all dying within 3 months, then into adult life I was made redundant a week before my son was born, we then lost 2 unborn babies, then got divorced (and got royally screwed) then Covid redundant again!!, but as I look back now things were scary at the time but things do get better!

The Lord is amazing
Giving us all our individual skills
I was in the Royal Irish for 20 years. And at the moment I am writing a book about my experiences.
To be ready 24hrs a day, an under threat 24 hours a day
I am writing this book, and I know the Lord wants me to mention him
Or it will not be a success
What he says about some people being wolves and others sheepdogs is so true in life , I grew up with over 20 guys who I hung about with but I can only name a few who would stand by me when there was trouble and not need to be asked but then claim credit for things that they didn't do that's a sheepdog and you Don't want them looking out for you when they don't get anything in return for example.
Life shapes you, don’t give up. & What a life he’s living. And even hero’s have to deal with darkness in the mind, look after yourselves.
Absolutely outstanding 🙏🏼 thank you Mulligan Bros.
It's good to know you are spiritual Christian. I have found God on my own journey although I'm from a time slightly before you but never went SF.Very proud of you and have taken inspiration from your testimony! You are still doing good mate!
what a legend there isn't many role models in the world or solid male character, chris is as close as it gets.
This is why the Bristish SAS are the best, and no one comes close.
What an inspiring man as well as being a real hero!
