That’s awesome! The conversion process can be a challenge but so worth it! It’s awesome to look back and see what you did and all that you leaned along the way.
Love your honesty. Play it by ear, it will work out. You don't know until you try. 🇬🇧 Solo part-time lady car camper. I love car camping but have done it all, Glamping, Camping and now car camping. I mix it up. Make sure you get a decent mattress. I just find out what works for me. Having tried all kinds of things for a mattress.
@@SeekingNewHorizonsTV Hi ya. Good job with the mattress. I tell you, you are going to love it once you get out there, the beauty about car camping is the freedom it gives you and opportunity to see all kinds of places and a easy home base to sleep on travels. Can't wait to see how you make your set up work in practice. Subscribed. Stay blessed. Solo female part-time car camper. 🇬🇧
I pulled out all but the driver's and front passenger seat of my Nissan Serena, as I was gunna use it as a van and camper, I got shot of the seats, the jigsaw carpet (except for the front section) and all the seat rails....the bare floor had so many bolt holes and additional holes!!! I sealed them off, painted a low voc protective coat, lay down foam and foil insulation, underlay and carpet, and now it's nice and snug
Wife just fried the motor in our 2016 Sedona so I bought her a new Camry and am replacing motor in the Kia. Gonna make it a camper in the back and add a hitch so I can haul a trailer for my Harley. May just bring my dog with me and never go home again!
What year is this Sedona? Mine does not have a level floor. plus there is a bar across for the middle seats. Your Sedona was already level and no bar ?
That would have defeated my propose for the plywood, it gave me something to lay my floor on plus screw my bed frame and cabinet down to. Plus I don't think I would have saved that much weight doing that.
By chance do you know how to remove the front passenger seat?
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH
for this video!!!
I've had a HELLUVA TIME trying to figure out how to get My 2nd Row Seats OUT of My Van...
So THANKS!!!
😊
You’re welcome!! I know it took me a lot of digging to figure it out too.
but he didn’t really show how they were removed
@@ThePorkchopExpress975 Doesn't help to read the manual. It's wrong.

Thank you Happy Days! I got a mattress off Amazon for $99, after sleeping on it for 3 nights it seems to do the job!

i have a 2007 kia sedona lx... love this van!
My 2011 has been a pretty good van.
That was a great idea how you set the boards up.
From Indiana too. Been thinking of doing the van build and going out on the road!!!!
You should! I’ve been enjoying traveling around and checking out different states. There is so much to see!

I met an older gentleman in Georgia who took out his passenger seat and put a sink there. I may do something different with that space this summer.
How much do the 4 seats weigh? Gotta help acceleration and mileage removing that much.
How long is the cargo without the seats and how wide?

Sorry to hear the motor went out in your Kia. The 2016 model has a pretty good tow capacity and should make a great little rv for pulling your bike.
looking for Kia Telluride builds. starting here!
I hope even though they are different models hope my video helps you on your build!

Hi MoNana, it is a 2011.
Could have drilled large holes in the plywood to take off weight..Probably same strength...
That would have defeated my propose for the plywood, it gave me something to lay my floor on plus screw my bed frame and cabinet down to. Plus I don't think I would have saved that much weight doing that.
