      Good luck! I got hit as a pedestrian 7 years ago, in August it'll be 8 years. I'm still trying to walk the way I used to. My bones all over my body didn't break but they got knocked out of place so I still can't quite walk like I used to. My left leg was an inch and a half shorter than my right leg but that is finally loosening up. I'm in pain everyday but it's less and less as bones pop back into place. I usually hear them pop when they do. Also my muscle adhesions will tear apart now and then as I can move more. My jaw is finally back into place. I still can't do stairs with both legs. I have to go up and down one at a time because my left hip won't let me step that far up or swing down. It sucks but I think in a couple more years I might have everything back again. I'll be 62 years old but at least I won't feel like I'm 80 like I did right after the accident! I walked two steps out of a store and the 16 year old kid texting jumped the curb with his car and went right into me. What a change in a couple of seconds. My two boys are teenagers now and I couldn't do much physical things with them like I would have wanted to do. The more I walked the more pain I would have. I can almost walk right again.

      Cleaning up a wreck of a side yard here in suburbia, a block from Puget Sound. Because our soil was Polluted by heavy metals via a hundred years of the ASARCO Smelter, everything I have to do has to wait until the right environmental conditions so that I don’t make a lot of dust out of the marine clay we are on, and it has taken awhile to get all the materials and learn raised bed gardening, and how to keep the edibles from becoming poisonous. So now is the time, and I hope to have a 4x12 safe for growing raised bed in by tax day!!!!!

    starting seeding indoors and family tree stuff

  • @StoneKathryn
    @StoneKathryn 2 года назад

    We have been working on cleaning up a large tree that fell over during the winter about ten feet in front of our barn. We have had to walk around it all winter. It fell toward two of our raised beds but it didn't wreck them because the limbs held it up high enough it didn't crush them. There was also a large cattle gate there and again the limbs fell so that it didn't get hurt either. We have a lot more wood for our wood stove now. Half of the tree was dead so we now have wood to burn right away next winter and the other stuff has to dry a few years. It is a box elder tree so they burn pretty well. We have black walnut to burn too so having the box elder makes it easier to burn the black walnut because that burns so much longer and it is hard to get it going. We were lucky it fell the way it did. It was too big to want to cut it down ourselves. Go Lacie! Hole digging is no fun. Clay soil is hard to dig into. Oh boy, root! Time to get a mattock! Sawsall works too! I like that two man post hole digger! We have to dig down to 34 inches to get below the frost heave. I was wondering why those bent pipes were in the goat area. You're using those to make the goat shelter. Thanks for mentioning the Bootstrap Farmer hoop bender. I bought their starter trays because of you guys. Great video as always.

Building was part of today’s math lesson and the 11 year old loved it. I enjoy watching everybody getting ready for spring and summer, too. Our last frost isn’t until May but it’s pleasant enough to start outdoor projects now. I envy your pond. That isn’t easy to find or maintain here in Arizona. I repotted some plants and seeded some new in my greenhouse and the regular livestock chores and a little youtubing, watching and posting😁
    I have premier one too but my goats GI Joe belly crawl under the fence , they don't try to go over. I have to stake down between poles to keep them in.

    I love that y’all are so real. I’ve been interested in moving in a yurt and are working on it, an all I find is people that have the money to do anything and we don’t have that right now so this is refreshing y’all are like how I’m going to do it. Thanks so much I appreciate the authenticity y’all have. Definitely give me the hope we can do it and do it the way I plan to, reuse recycle, up cycle🤗🤘🏼🙏🏼🥰💗

    I have just sowed the first seeds indoors, like peppers sweet peppers and onions and leaks. Greetings from northern Sweden. Perhaps not as cold as Alaska but definitely still several feet of snow.

    We had a thunderstorms all day yesterday so I cleaned out the baby goat shelter and put in new hay. We were blessed with seven babies last week from our four nannies. Four doelings and three bucklings. They're now all bottle babies, I feel it makes them easier to handle when they're older, especially the does for milking. Also milked four nannies, one twice. She's giving us 3/4 of a gallon plus daily.
