That was sic! Loved how the bass distorted the camera and your guy all over the shop. Can't wait to see a demo of it installed. It'll probably blow out the side window.
randy farmer I hear ya. I'm gonna be installing a second kicker CompS 12 in my ranger. cheap system but really I don't need more than one sub for that tiny ass truck
That's cool! I Thought of doing this same thing in the spare tire carrier of my 90 suburban...but i wanted to use that part as the sealed side to a 4th order box... nice to see it work out so well! Great Job guys!
Epic bass man. after seeing all the 160+ builds out there, this is so much cooler to watch. the box, + Brandon has got to be 250lb moving on that cardboard! CRAZY! I love it
I laughed so much when the entire thing went wandering xD looked hillarious at least the terminals work :) that is one badass box think it's gonna sound great inside the car
Meade you are my fucking hero! I love the OCD way you do builds and this just tops your own bar as per usual. Just keep being a legend and know if I lived in the states I'd move next door just to appreciate the bass a little more.
Always been a fan Steve the box is dope and creative, you are the one who inspired me to get into the bass/customization world first video i ever saw of yours was the "My eye popped out" video when the taho was still the stock grayish champagne color waaayy back in the day. Love the videos much respect homie!!!
Helped a friend build box just like this for his Jeep Cherokee way back in the way back. I forget how many quarter circles we cut/glued/stapled together to make it. Then fiber glassed the hell outa the inside and sanded the outside till we were MDF covered jelly armed and tired. Once mounted it looked and sounded great. And yeah the front flex was a bastard to get in check. But was all worth it.
I was gonna ask if that was enough airspace for those two 12's but once they were in it put into perspective on how big it actually is! That thing is awesome and it moving him across the floor had me dying...that's great. New meaning to bass that moves you. :-)
steve, i heard ya say your boy zach is your fastenal guy? thats awesome i work for fastenal myself.. tell him i like this box he made.. and man,, vibrated him right across the floor. hats off bro!
bayareatech the spray wax is pretty good. The tire spray does sling a bit. And the instant shine works wonders man Should get them tonsend ya some samples to try out
What would be the benefit from cutting 20 individual rings, when you could cut 2 rings, use dowels to space it up, then stretch fleece and fiberglass it up? Seems like it would take a lot more time and material to do it the way you did it.
Just watch out for the thermal performance. Wouldn't take much to cook those subs in that box. I know, I know, you know what your doing but that much power into a couple of 12's in what looks like a 5cuft box. Looks good I'm assuming 6" precision ports?
I made a similar box, for an 8" sundown... though I decided to carpet it. Carpeting a cylinder is a royal pain where the sun don't shine! What's worse, the lil 8" only needed half the box, so out of the other box - instead of putting a 2nd 8 which would have been the sane thing to do, I did a recess to put the amp in (a kenwood mini amp). Carpeting that was even worse.. Oh, and I used 2 layers of kerfed 1/4" MDF on each side - inside and out - to get that smooth look. After that, I thought I should have bought 3 MDF sheets and cut all of my circles with a router and I would have been in waaaay better shape. kind of like what you guys did. Or cut a lot of circle halves out of 1 sheet, and waste very little mdf in the process... live and learn! What kind of gun do you guys use to spray it?
them little bastards got some throw to be pushing him around. I wanted some but couldn't wait and went the custom built route. Possibly future upgrade down the road.
you guys should do a console box for a single cab ranger id like to build one but i dont have any plans... but you guys should totally do it it would be awesome!!!
didn't i say in the video that there wasn't any all thread yet? i thought i did. You are looking at a bolt with a cap on it so it didn't leak during testing. But the actual bar is not in there, just like i said it wasn't. thanks! :)
Your assistant (sorry I don't know his name)was hanging on for dear life. I laughed so hard. Could the flex be fixed by running the threaded rod through a pipe that is as deep as the inside of the box?
That was sic! Loved how the bass distorted the camera and your guy all over the shop. Can't wait to see a demo of it installed. It'll probably blow out the side window.
I swear ive watched all his videos i couldnt stop watching. In the last couple days ive grown an addiction to these builds. Keep Up The Good Work.
Wow... That guy is going Bass Surfing! Poor guy is doing everything he can to hold that box in place but he's just along for the ride!

randy farmer I hear ya. I'm gonna be installing a second kicker CompS 12 in my ranger. cheap system but really I don't need more than one sub for that tiny ass truck
WOW!!!!! WHAT A WORK OF ART!!!! IMPRESSIVE IS TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!
That look you gave each other at 7:55 says it all... Knocking hard!
Wow! Zack is an innovative genius. Although, he is just the man next to the man Steve.
Steve, y'all discovered a very odd form of transportation...That was really funny to watch.
That's cool! I Thought of doing this same thing in the spare tire carrier of my 90 suburban...but i wanted to use that part as the sealed side to a 4th order box... nice to see it work out so well! Great Job guys!
Laughed so hard at the end where the camera is shaking and he was moving with the tire box
Epic bass man. after seeing all the 160+ builds out there, this is so much cooler to watch. the box, + Brandon has got to be 250lb moving on that cardboard! CRAZY! I love it
Whatever Steve puts his hands on instantly becomes dope Sure wish I could get my ride to California.
Steve Meade and the crew come from a galaxy subulla, all the builds from the man him self and his friends are on point!! It's All Beautiful work!!
would be epic if Zack glued tire tread to the outside.
mr meade and crew never cease to amaze!
that's a nice place for a box, never thought of that...
All your stuff is clean. Attention to detail is there. You do some excellent work dude. Thanks for the videos.
steve just letting him slide around the shop
I laughed so much when the entire thing went wandering xD looked hillarious at least the terminals work :) that is one badass box think it's gonna sound great inside the car

They used the undercoating gun available from Second Skin. You can find cheaper ones from other brands on Amazon.
Pulling up the slap..waking up the block 3 10s in trunk
Those who cant have or do will always hate! The box is dope, damn all the haters tryin to be internet assasins.
Now there's an idea for my 98 Suburban!

Looks like it was fun to make 🙌🏼

I've got 2 12 inch t1s that I have never hooked up, anyone know how hard they hit, or how loud they are?
Haha, now that's something you don't see everyday!
nice box design
Is making a box round like this just as strong as a normal square box?
them little bastards got some throw to be pushing him around. I wanted some but couldn't wait and went the custom built route. Possibly future upgrade down the road.
i saw sparks come off the terminals when I disconnected from the box
you guys should do a console box for a single cab ranger id like to build one but i dont have any plans... but you guys should totally do it it would be awesome!!!
Looked at some comments on some of his other videos and damn, he's a savage

didn't i say in the video that there wasn't any all thread yet? i thought i did. You are looking at a bolt with a cap on it so it didn't leak during testing. But the actual bar is not in there, just like i said it wasn't. thanks! :)

Dammit Man, that is so cool. I have a 85 Chevy Military Blazer with a similar spare location, this would be perfect
sick box
when you can turn a sub box into an amusement ride!!! lol
Your assistant (sorry I don't know his name)was hanging on for dear life. I laughed so hard. Could the flex be fixed by running the threaded rod through a pipe that is as deep as the inside of the box?
Nice bass steve👍
This would look good in my 2 door tahoe how much would it cost to build one
