    I was surfing the RUclips and like the way you put your packing in the best so I rate you no#1 especially when putting in the bottom packings do not to tighten them up until you push ROD through the piston cylinder great way to insure you don't tear up your new packing do a question do you need lock tight on the screw before tighten and what type thanks!

      Hi Russell,
      No Loctite is required, however, if you did want that extra peace of mind, this is a great Loctite we use for all our servicing www.bunnings.com.au/loctite-243-10ml-adhesive-threadlocker_p1560362

    Fantastic video! Thanks for making it. Maybe you can help solve my issue?
    After rebuilding the pump it still won't prime. You can hear the balls both moving freely and it's very clean inside.
    I've disconnected the line from the pump to the filter housing. Nothing comes out of the pump. You can feel some suction if you cover the intake hose connection with your hand. You can see the piston moving like it should, the motor sounds like it always has. I'm not sure what the issue is. Planning to call Graco tomorrow morning. Did you have any ideas?

      Hey man! I would definitely look at your prime valve - this is the cause of the majority of priming issues. We've put together a video series below of troubleshooting these issues:
      How to replace your prime valve: ruclips.net/video/eLrhi9IffVQ/видео.html&ab_channel=GOIndustrial
      Why to keep your sprayer in the 'spray position' - instagram.com/reel/CiR9iXsBQK2/
      How to replace your prime valve (quick tutorial): instagram.com/reel/CO2AuJxh_Pv/
      Let me know how you go! Try this first, as the pump is generally not the reason for priming difficulties (other than the check-balls getting stuck)

      @@GOIndustrial Just bipassed the suction hose. (Put a cup of water directly under the pump and contiuned pouring water to keep it full. )The pump primes! It's an invisible break in the hose or O-Rings for it.

    Great video thanks for sharing mate, how does the piston and seals get lubricated i noticed you poured oil through the top will this oil penetrate past the o rings?
    Will engine oil be ok to lubricate piston before assembly

    • @GOIndustrial
      @GOIndustrial  Год назад

      Engine oil will be OK to lubricate the piston when repacking, I would recommend using 30W oil where you can. As for ongoing preventative maintenance and storage, Graco supplies a product called Throat Seal Liquid (TSL). This is formulated for the packings on the piston, and can be squeezed into the top of the packing nut before and after spraying. We highly recommend this oil.

    Hello, do you know if I could replace my Graco LineLazer V 3900 pump with a 5900 pump?
    Thank you.

    • @GOIndustrial
      @GOIndustrial  2 года назад +1

      Hey, great comment! I looked up the parts manuals for both units and it looks like they have different part numbers for the pumps, so unfortunately, I don't think the 5900 pump will work on the 3900.
      What region are you from? I can try find the part number you need!

    Hardwood it have been to make the video from the beginning where you actually took the pump apart? Starting halfway through with the pump completely apart does nothing to show how the piston separates.

      Hi Thor, this specific kit would not work on the em380. It is the same process to repair but the kit would be slightly different. I recommend contacting your closest Graco distributor!

      만나서 반갑습니다! 의견 감사합니다 :) 이 펌프는 탄성 코팅을 분사하기에는 조금 작을 수 있습니다. 더 큰 기계가 필요할 수도 있습니다. Graco 695 이상이 필요할 수도 있습니다.
