My husband and I are starting a plumbing company. Service Titian’s told us they don’t want us as clients. We are too small. They want us to have at least 3 technicians.

We are a 15 technician HVAC company in the bay area. I am the office manager and i just signed over to FE from using ST for the last 2 years. The reason we started looking elsewhere for service software is because its so hard to get tech support from ST and the software is almost "too good". What i mean by that is that it is so intricate and over-developed that it just becomes too confusing. Also, ST is trying to become accounting software and their QB Desktop integration is HORRIBLE...all my batches have something wring with them, it duplicates transactions, customers, creates journal entries out of nowhere that make no sense, and that might be my fault for not setting it up correctly, but it's been LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get help from ST>I have worked here for over a year and i still am learning new things i never knew ST even could do. This could be a good or a bad thing, depending on how busy one is, but i dont have time to request a service ticket and wait 24 hours to get help to do something as simple as adding a mandatory invoice in the job where the technician is required to collect before closing out the job. So we are in the midst of switching over, im going to hold my breathe and pray for the best!!
Field Edge tried very hard to get me out of ST. They literally booked a follow up call one year in advance with me because I said "I'll consider switching next year" I said that hoping they would just hang up lol
Field Edge SUCKS. Take my word for it. Don't do it, do NOT get a trial because your head will explode with all its lacking features and functions. Now, Desco, the preceding software from what they call a sister company was great and had lots of features I liked. From my experience with Desco or ESC as they used to call it, I used it for 7 years before attempting to use FE and with DISASTEROUS RESULTS. It was so lacking I not only canceled my subscription in less than 7 months, it was then that we found out they could not even take the FE profile and put it back into ESC. It was right then I realized I needed a software that I could use for the next 20 years and would scale with my business and thankfully I found ST.

I used field edge and left to start with service titan. It is terrible!!! No where near service titan quality. Do not use field edge. Cheaper but I would pay for service titan before something that is garbage!

We looked into Service Titan and it is very awesome but the price for what we need is way to expensive

FieldEdge is the cloud version of ESC, made originally by Desco. They have been here for a while indeed, but better than ST? Hmmmmno.

I started one business on FieldEdge and never moved them from FE but used ST from day one of the new business. With 2 managed techs...
Bill Sengstacken ST requires more attention and time during training, but it is very well laid out and the processes make it less stressful than FE.
I use service titan and hate it with a passion.
What are some issues that you’re having?
Coming from housecall with a lot more freedom and less tracking was very hard. It's not as"dummy proof" as housecall. Very complicated for us techs.
