@@Brads-Woodshed my favorite videos on RUclips are exactly what you and others do ..Make stuff look cool...I think dude if today are afraid to get their hands dirty so your videos are very very important
@@harley1969chuco that really means a lot to me! Sometimes it’s tough getting RUclips to recommend my videos but that’s the reason I do them, because I know there’s somebody who’s interested in them!
I just picked an old one like this up (neighbors put to curb). I need to make a list for hardware store -- what is that stuff in your spray bottle, sander thing, paint kind etc. Help. I'm a DIY woman. Haa!! Great job btw!!
I was given the same lower box along with a top Snap On box for free from a coworker. The bottom box was all messed up. But all that it required was a good cleaning and new drawer clips to make the drawers stay on the tracks. It’s not perfect, but it works great and does.
Huge improvement, looks real nice Brad! I did a video on painting that same style unit with Van Halen stripes. Curious as to what you store in that lower compartment. Anything I put down there gets forgotten and never seen again because it's so hard to access stuff in it, so I later built a drawer for that space using the original door as the drawer front.
Great idea. Hadn’t stored anything as of yet but thought about just larger tools that I don’t use a lot. Corded circular saw etc. I may try that drawer idea!
Very nice work! I just started a rebuild of exactly the same toolbox and I'm having trouble getting the clips removed for the fold-down panel on the bottom. I got the panel off in a procedure remarkably similar to yours, but no luck on the metal clips. Any tricks for getting them out?
I too had a bit of a fit. It has been a minute since I did it but it seems I had to have an extra hand using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer. Wasn’t easy, and even going back was a bit of a pain!
@@Brads-Woodshed Well, not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks for getting back to me. I may just work around that part since you can't see it anyway.
Just starting. Don't get lots of free time...but I will prevail. I''ll send a pic. It will be "girlie" tho, that's the plan. But I do re-watch this and appreciate the essential info.
What is the bottom storage area with the flip uo door called. Seriously not trying to be funny. Im trying to find a replacement inside piece of it. But im not sure what to call it.
the walnut pine top makes that tool box really pop very cool thank for sharing
Thanks for the compliment and for watching!

I appreciate that, I’m messaging you now!
Nice update to the tool box. I have an old one as well that I might redo. Thanks for the idea and video!
