Did anyone see Kevin's forearms? Holy crap. Popeye would shake hands with that guy and walk away nursing a sore palm.
Hell yea I was wondering the same
@@felicianoleal4358 Anybody who does this for a while and tries hard will look like that. :) It's kind of a rite of passage sort of thing haha working up trees ain't the place for weak arms....
Thank you for having Kevin come out to work with you. His climbing and cutting and his willingness even to feed the chipper- and his words about pricing right and being customer oriented- so good!
Thank you Gentlemen for those kind words!
He mentions weight lifting a fair amount on his channel.
'Nothing worse than big wood and the wrong price'......so so true! I'm also learning those lessons....and a lesson learnt the hard way isn't easily forgotten...
'Nother lesson: PPE. PROTOS FACE SHIELD.
Great insight, there is no mistake that needs to be cursed if a lesson is gained.
Love seeing you guy’s work together. Kevin is full of knowledge and expertise.
Hopeful he'll come again when the weather is nice. You two work well together. 👍👍
Man props to Kevin being his age and still getting after it! It’s good to stay humble and remember where you come from. You would never catch a boss or owner at my company climbing or running a bucket!😂
Another good and King man, A real pleasuire seeing Kevin again. Safe travels again !
I do not miss my 9" bandit. Those big feed wheels trick you into thinking it's a big chipper. Kevin is rad!
“There’s nothing worse than big wood and a bad price”. Agreed!
Nice to still see someones work getting paid with work as a plumber myself and a hobby of mine doing everything myself like car, electric, cutting trees and so on but if i need something done i have some friends that take my work for theirs as "payment" keep up the nice work Jake
Cutting and tossing a Doug fir from the bucket sure is exhausting 💪
Another good video, great guys you work with. Always enjoy the videos, the hard work, skill, Humor, lol, and camaraderie, from SE Texas Bear
I love it. Great job
Good video, thanks.
Taking those rounds from a big redwood climbing, you discover the true meaning of "work".
V impressive handling those big rounds in the bucket!
Always a pleasure to see your videos, it's funny to see how you work compared to France. Thank you very much for your videos. CHAINSAW CHAINSAW!! 🌳
Installed your heat pump? Nice. When are you going to get an outdoor wood boiler for heat? I feel like you'd probably have a good hook up for firewood. 🙂 I bet that guy could install the whole thing. You know, provided you turn a few more tree jobs for him!
In turn providing more wood.i like it.
@@limawhiskey5584 free firewood is not free unless it is already cut, split, hauled and stacked.😉
@@iffykidmn8170he didn’t say it was free…
Nice variation on camera placement - good to see that.
That guy was solid.
Cheers kev'
Thanks
When I lived there in Washington I definitely learned that you don't wait for the rain to stop to do anything. It's basically the same for a good part of the summer here in Alaska. Good job on the trees.
🪓🌲🪵 Thanks for the video Jake!👋
Just amazing 🌺🍍🏝️✝️🇺🇸🤙🏽❤️
I never minded working in the rain up in the Kitsap County area. Waterproof boots, a good rain suit, and neoprene gloves. Now that I live in South Eastern NC, working in the rain during 75% of the year you're getting wet no matter what. Sweating in the humidity with gear on or the rain.
Love the name of your outfit.❤❤😊😊
Is there a remote kill switch you can carry to kill the engine on the chipper? Like an after market Bluetooth remote to take up in the tree with you.
Better go find that bar in the spring 🤣
Looks rough bucking all that firewood from up in the air! I'm tired for y'all!
Ha, I've done the oil down the leg thing many times
Imagine the injuries saved by the new electrics, not to mention how a cat feels after a long climb.
Is that a wrap? Or do you yell," CUT"... 😂😂😂
Have you found some rain gear that you are happy with? I watched the Climbing Arborists review of all the rain gear he has used over the years until till he found a jacket that works for him.
Climbing cottonwoods in a hard rain, worse for me. Slicker than hot snot on a doorknob.
You lost a 32 inch bar in the snow?! Shiiiiittt would be worth to walk back the trail!!
Y U no visor Jake. Come on. (From a brother to another). On topic, Nice seeing you and Kev working together, All brothers in Christ unite!
Awesome vlog and job...boys.....have just, dropped, a cheeky fir tree, in the back garden... all chained up,and ready for the fire 🔥....(In a while)...massive respect for what you're all doing 🙌...
It is simple. Bid the work that you can do at the price you can do it. Don't cut your self to sell the job! Have a great one! Hey, bluetooth monitor onsite to record all the conversations.....pull out audio from that!!
underbid but make it back in content revenue... means you didnt underbid. Youre a beast, thats all. You enjoy the grind... as you get tired of it you can approach it differently
Even tho this is new to you ... a biggest vermeer chipper should be on your radar
Yeah but then you have to deal with a vermeer dealer and finding a technician when the control computer goes wonky on a saturday 😂
I wish to be in shape like Kevin hamm when I’m 60yrs of age
Totally not dog in the wood chipper looks like it works really good but I was curious to see if you had any intention of upgrading to something with a true auto-feed on it like a Vermeer BC 1400 used or a newer bc1500 or even a BC 1000 ? Just saying I think it would make your life a lot easier.
Plz review a Salem master
👍🏼
Great video Jake, but I'm glad I don't live there. Most rain day's here we don't work 😂
Do you know if they make a chain for the Nano Speed cut without the anti kick back on them ? Finally got a kit 😊
I think there were some non oregon branded chains that are. Don't remember if it was forester or archer.
EDIT a super lazy search found forester and lazer. The archer looks to have safety link.
@mattfleming86 OK thank you for the reply, I asked at my local saw shop an they were gonna get back to me but I'll do a search 🙂👍
@@danmcburney3247 No problem friend! I just got my first nano setup about a month ago and remembered seeing it on ebay. i'd like to try the Husqvarna version of the 325/043 chain as well. Other semi chisel safety chain I have used from husqvarna has punched above it's weight class.
@mattfleming86 I'll be darn, well we might have to try that also !! I really love the panther kit I got from August, it's like you have a scalpel in your hand up in the tree !! And the chain is great but the bar's don't last. Hopefully they can come up with a good bar ? Thank you for the feed back 👍👊
When are you going to get an outdoor wood boiler for heat? I feel like you'd probably have a good hook up for firewood.
probably less work to just do an extra tree job or two and pay for gas.
Good job bro, damn i want to work with you
Very slow work early, chunking away at it piece by piece. Quicker with the slip line for sure.
Crane alat berat nya panjang sekali ya jangkauan nya😮
When cutting an evergreen, does the chain get sap on it??😮😮😮
Anh cưa cây rất khéo .Em rất thích công việc cưa cây này .👍
ALWAYS a great video with this channel, sub it UP, guys!
I would love to come out and work with you in. Kevin, just for a couple days, it would be so awesome. You guys are great, great people. Man, great guys, God bless.
try a stihl ms 881
Heat pumps ain't cheap my friend. In AZ, ours are huge. In 1996 after a tornado ripped the roof off my house, I had to replace it with a 5.5 ton unit with extra return ducts. As you know, all units earlier than the noughties are on the roof. Later they're on the ground. Think I paid $5K for that unit and installation. Barter is a good idea. I reckon taking down trees costs far more than just labor for the heat pump install. Or did you get the heat pump AND labor for the trees....?
Just replaced mine - 13k
Do you have days when the 95 chipper it too small? I'm semi-retired and starting with a 90xp with a freshly rebuilt engine.
Belíssimo trabalho guerreiro, parabéns . Sempre acompanho seus trabalhos e acho um espetáculo de serviço.
Kevin looks like Michael Shannon.
Its crazy that people let trees get that big so close to their house
When are you going to work with Antone again?
Meant to say 5 1/2 by 36
🌲
i´d like to work with you once...greetings from an arborist from germany :)
I’m having trouble mathing the math..lol was this a even trade
A whole heat pump system by me starts at $12k and can go up to almost $20k!
Hi guys what do you use to comunicate with each other?
Like if you are up and guys are down.
Did you say you lost another saw you need to put cell phone locators on your saws there as big as a Quarter. you should look into them 💥💥🛠️🍔
Said he lost the 32 inch bar in the snow. A big saw plus a long bar is hard to move around so sometimes you'd take the bar off for easy transportation
Maybe get some umbrellas for your cameras.
them little paper ones they put in girly drinks?
Holy s*** squirrel I hope that covered the heat pump itself he paid for the heat pump and not you or that's not a good trade
Whatever the trade was, it appears to have been worth it to those actually, you know, part of the trade.
Do you wish you would have got a 75 foot Bucket elevator. We have one Eye, absolutely love it. That extra reach especially over power lines is so nice
A Jake, how are you, buddy? I hope all is well my friend god bless stay safe
why not drill a couple holes in the bucket, self drain then lol.
electric hazard?
An arborist with a heat pump. You probably have plastic flowers.
LOL. OK “user12345”
Not to be 'that guy', but is it safe to move the rounds like that in the bucket? I just honestly have no idea if that's normal in the industry or not.
Normal
Those hydraulic pistons can support more than 1000 pounds... So, it's safe.
It'll have the weight you can hold in the bucket written on a plate somewhere on chassis, which is normally around two men and some gear. So he's way within range 👍👍
@@amberruby4896 all of ours are 350lbs I think the single man bucket trucks are usually around that weight limit.
Im in Olympia and love your videos. Need any help?
am i going to be the 6000th guy who says, " why are there no holes drilled in the bottom of the bucket??? i really hope there is an actual reason and im just dumb.
The liners are supposed to block current in case of electrical wire contact. Will fail the test if there are holes. Yearly inspection thing
Electricity jumps through the hole and kills you.
ALRIGHT ALREADY JEEEZ. IM NEVER ASKING A QUESTION ON THE INTERNET EVER AGAIN! DONT HAVE TO MAKE ME FEEL.BAD!
Just complaining= just being a Dutchman 😜yes im from the Netherlands so im allowed to say that
I think I’ve heard that “Dutchman” often was used in America to refer to Germans?
@@jacobvantuinen5426 ha amaricans😅
you lost your saw or you dropped it?
lost his 32" bar out of sled while pulling it threw the snow.
What is the punishment for treeson, anyway? Do you get a limb cut off?
I don't know about y'all, but I watch these videos for the cutting, but whoever edits the videos consistently edits most of that out. Does that mean there is a bigger audience for watching stuff drop from a tree top, or what's going on?
Somebody messaged me for what I said about trade. I like squirrel🐿️ I will give him my honest opinion.
Can’t you just drill some holes in the bucket?
Electrical hazard
you are an amazing climber Jake. Awesome! But when you fall trees and trunks I cringe. You take more chances than I could imagine and I was a commercial timber faller for 5 years.
The chunking with the bucket truck looked a tad risky to me. It went fine!
What on this video was so sketch if you don’t mind me asking?
@@vikingfitz9088the super skinny hinge wood. I watchmost ofhisvideosandove the last few years I have seen things that make me cringe more than thatbut falling trees I always erron the side of control and caution.
Fair enough Thomas. Thanks for the response.@@thomaswhaley4024
Be more careful what you post here about exchanging work the IRS don' like if when people slip by on taxes for this stuff.

Horrible ground guy… you never chunk logs on brush unless you’re lazy. Stay in the tree dude.
Hold your phone horizontal! Or leave the side pieces blank, amateur.
Arguably two of the most talented and prolific tree guys on RUclips. Yup, amateurs.
@@greentreepreservation😂spot on. Jake has a lot of subscriptions for an amateur.
@@greentreepreservationthank you sir
Barter job... cool. I once swapped the installation of a woodheater for a 6'x4' trailer...👍🪓🇦🇺😁
