    Nice to see you can simplify the DMM install. I am in the process of using two of the 400w motors DYN4 drives and purchased all the recommended filters/line reactor. Finding space for it all is a challenge. Thanks for posting.

    Hi marty...great job!!!
    I'm waiting for more details about the kondia k76 milling machine project....

    Hi Marty , nice video. You saying than you don't need that bigger magnetic contactor for servo drives, DMM recommends a 60A contactor to be used for three DYN 4 servo drives.
    You correct it is over kill .
    What contactor did you use ? Model #
    Thank you

    Hi Marty!
    Did you gain any travel speed when you went to the DYN4/AC servo over the factory DC servos?
    I have a milltronics MB19 that I was thinking of going the same route as your Fadal. I top out at 100imp cutting and was hoping to gain a bit of speed.

      Haven't gotten that far yet. Wired solenoids today. I'm sure I can EASILY surpass stock rapids, but I won't on an open machine. Will max at 200ipm.

      @@martyscncgarage5275 one of the guys at DMM told me I should be able to get to 150 to 200 IPM out of there servo because of the power curve of thier servo. Was just curious what you had found since you have your machine running under power now.
      Love the videos! Keep them coming!

      @@danpoole9327 I'll let you know. XY should be no problem, Z might be an issue but doubtful. Will do a follow up video when I button things up and cut some metal...

      I'm sure you'll gain speed. My guess is Milltronics has it topped at 100ipm if it's an open machine for safety reasons

    Have you changed out any cnc that was 3 phase and converted them using centroid?

    • @martyscncgarage5275

      Not following. You want to convert a 3phase CNC machine to single phase and Centroid?

    • @laserfalcon
      @laserfalcon 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@martyscncgarage5275 yes, our machine is a multicam 2000 laser . It uses 3 phase power, our thoughts were to convert to a single phase, replace motors and obviously the power supplies. We aren't sure yet if it's too daunting but there are lots of issues keeping it how it is.

    • @martyscncgarage5275
      @martyscncgarage5275  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@laserfalcon if your laser power supply is three phase you'll need to keep that. Since it's a laser table, I doubt the axis motors are that large. If I were you, I would take pictures of the machine, machine label, control cabinet, axis drive labels and post to the Centroid Users forum. centroidcncforum.com/
      Ask for suggestions. You WILL get good advice. Mention if you have schematics or not or can get them for your machine.
      Also mention where you are located.
      Let me know when you do

    What voltage is your contact relay coil ac or dc

    • @martyscncgarage5275
      @martyscncgarage5275  Год назад

      Estop contactor is usually 24vac. But you can use 24vdc. Use a snubber or make sure there. Is one across the coil

    What is the HP rating on the spindle motor? I only see up to 3hp on single phase GS3 drives, and I feel like that TRM probably has a 7.5hp spindle motor? Or is there a secret to running the 3 phase drives on single phase that I am not aware of. I'm looking at retrofitting an old Takisawa MAC-2Vwith a 5hp cont, and 7.5hp for 30min motor and it looks like my only single phase options is a GS4 which is very pricy...

      This one had a 3hp Baldor. (Large frame)

      Yaskawa VR1000 is a 5hp single phase, continuous VFD. Also, I have a 15hp Emerson Commander that is rated at 7.5hp single phase available. I purchased it as a demo unit. Never used it. Shelf wear. If interested contact me at my RUclips channel name ATgmailDOTcom
