Im an engineering masters student and I inherited the an Acorn CNC from a previous project. I ensured that the board was properly installed and it ran previously but Im having an issue where neither the blue heartbeat light nor the blue power light on the beaglebone will turn on. Is this the issue youre referring to in the video? I want to ensure that reloading the firmware is the correct action to take.
I am not sure if I need to re-flash the board, but my problem is when power is applied to the board the blue power LED (the one that should be always lit up) quickly flashes then turns off and no other LED illuminate on the board including the heartbeat LED.
Please post to the Centroid Acorn Users forum....unplug EVERYTHING except Acorn power and Ethernet cable and retry (assuming you are using Acorn with BBG as shipped from Centroid)
Marty, thanks again for the video Being that the BBG is open source, and easily available, I wonder how long before some builds their own interface board with more I/O,s. How long is the expected wait for Centroid to do this? Steve C
Thank you Marty, I did that but the issue ended up being a corrupt ddl file that was messing up the interface with CNC12 on screen controls. Works great now.
Thank you for the video. yesterday I changed my version to 4.99 for testing I tested some programs with C axis and sub spindle as I have shown here... ruclips.net/video/SBNKI8riSRY/видео.html Then I downgraded version 4.99 and the Acorn stopped heart beat. When I wanted to put version 4.8 on it, nothing worked anymore. I followed the instructions in the video exactly and it worked. For me Centroid is just 3 months old and everything is new. In addition, my English is very bad. But luckily I found her video. I'll tell you again a big thank you Sir Best regards Stephen

Expansion IO is done. We are waiting any day for the software to start testing
@@martyscncgarage5275 that's good news, thanks again
Does the firmware have to re-flashed if you change to a different computer after the original computer is no longer available?
No. Just reload the software and reinstall your license

i`m sure the plastic under the board is not antistatic !!!
Orfescu, yes it is. It what the board ships in.
Centroid, I'm calling a foul, my mother board quit exactly 15 years to the day and to the hour from the time the new machine was first turned on.
