I’m very impressed. I’ve been working on the same kind of project for over a year and I’m not there yet. Like you say the learning curve is tremendous. I have not attacked the tool changer. I’m saving it for when I get everything else moving I don’t even have the wireless pendant working yet. Hopefully soon your video was encouraging. Thanks.

The wireless pendant is nice. The A2100 pendant isn't too far behind, but no wires getting in the way is a plus.
LaMont is awesome (I assume that's who helped you with Centroid). I'm glad you got this working, after a retrofit failure.
I bought a non-working Arrow 500 a few years ago in Salt Lake... I thought I was facing a retrofit but I was able to repair it. I'll hopefully be able to get enough use out of it to get a newer mill (probably not gonna retrofit my Arrow if I can avoid it).
The HMC retrofit is rad. Good work on that one too.
I have similar goals - I got an Acorn from lamont and built a 5th axis indexer for my Arrow. The A2100 can do 5 axis simultaneous if you have that option purchased, but getting it these days from Siemens isn't feasible. So my indexer is controlled separately.

Dang man that’s awesome. I got my arrow an a pure chance years ago and it’s cut me a lot of metal. I love those old machines so much now. I’ll have to come down and take a look at your indexer. That’s amazing. I wanna take another rotary and put it on the Mazak to give me 5 axis on that thing. That’s my next purchase I think. Let me know if you end up doing a centroid swap on your arrow 500!

Check the frequency setting on the VFD they're often set low from factory

Have you got experience with the C2000? I’ve gotta get it dialed in a little better. My ridgid tapping still doesn’t work so I threadmill everything.

Gotta get back on it dude. I get so busy in the summers at the golf course the machines get neglected.

@@ericschneiter geek out on the conversion process. Not much RUclips content on that, in general, right?
