    I actually had this same thing happen to my rovan on video too. Those rovan tires balloon too much and the ride height needs to be lowered. Just lowering the ride height alone would do wonders and stop it from rolling over. it was a sexy paint job though bro!

    That was horrible. I feel for you! I must confess as much effort & money I put into my ROFUN F5 build, after the initial start up, I have never run it. It’s my work of art…CASTLE 2028/1700 KV with XLX2, custom wheels & rear wing, aluminum & titanium suspension & chassis braces & a really nice paint job. I love building them…I hate wrecking them! You mentioned I could send you some photos, but I couldn’t find your email. Good luck with that beast.

    It was definitely cogging. That is what extreme cogging looks like. You're geared too high or your punch is set too high and the startup power might be set too low on the ESC.

      I will have to take a look at those parameters. Also, I just found out the MAX5 G2 has an issue at launch. There is a new update, which is only available on the new G3 Programmer. Thank you, I really do appreciate all the info. 👍👍👍

    Hi, I have a rovan f5 running a xlx2 1100kv 8s sensored, the v2 wheels and tyres are better I find for bashing honing around a lot cheaper to replace its a tyre eater but I do have the mcd wheels which are definitely the best . Overall it runs great I'm only on 8s though there is a guy on youtube running a Max4 12s I think he runs a tp motor really good videos

      LOL yeah, I found out the hard way about the tires. I didn't realize when I bought the combo that the 1100 kv was only rated for 8S. What kind of speeds are you getting on 8S? I was looking at the MCD tires but wasn't sure which ones to get. Could you let me know which exact ones you are running. Thank you. 👍👍👍👍

    Theres a setting in your radio thats turned on thats meant for gas/nitro engines. I just had this happen to me as i was exploring my T4pm, Its traction control, turn it off. On my radio its called Traction. Also turn off anything that has to do with gas or nitro when running electric.

    You are geared way too high for 12s. That's why it is cogging. 1/5 scale on-road cars have too much mass and not enough grip and are notoriously bad for speedrunning. If you plan on speed running you're going to need tire warmers and a prepared surface and run traction compound on the tires. If the tires are ballooning a lot then you have way too much speed for those tires and you will never get any traction and constantly flip the car. I would consider getting some soft compound solid slicks from FG racing. They are solid rubber. 1/5th cars are made for prepared track racing not speed running. 45 to 50 mph top speed is just right for them on a repaired surface. I race FG 1/5th scale road course. It's a lot of fun. You should consider trying it and save the car from its appending doom. As I said, too much mass weight and not enough rubber contact with the road surface to keep it from losing control. It is possible but you will have to do lots of work. You will have to make sure the car is almost dragging the chassis to keep the CG low. You will need solid tires with softer compounds that don't balloon. Once they balloon you have lost all your traction as it is like riding on pizza cutters. Warming up the tires beforehand. spraying the street with Coca-Cola and letting it dry for sticky traction helps too. That is how we repair 1/5th scale on road races in parking lots. we sweep the cement removing any dust and blow it with a leaf blower. Then take a bunch of soda and spread it on the track and let it dry to make it sticky for the tires. We then warm the tires up before the race. Hope this helps.

    • @allscalerc
      @allscalerc  8 месяцев назад +1

      LOL sounds like one sticky mess, but fun! The car is just to practice for on road racing and to bash around with. I'm definitely way overpowered for those tires. Those pizza cutters weren't helping the cg. I will definitely look into the FG Racing solid slicks. Do you know if GRPs are as good and if they carry anything that fits as well? Just checking my options. Thank you, very much appreciated.👍👍👍👍

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@allscalerc GRPs are awesome tires and I'm not sure. I do know that they can customer make wheels and tires. I'm mostly familiar with FG because it's what we race with. You are correct when the tires turn into pizza cutters the CG goes way high, lol. If you plan on staying under 120 mph then some belted onroad tires for like the Losi Baja would work. Just make sure your diffs are not too loose causing the tire with the least amount of traction to spool up and blow a tire. If I were you I would watch the Raz Shifrin sped run secret series here on RUclips. Has taught me so much more than knew was possible. You got this. I can't wait to see you hit triple digits!

      @@allscalerc Man you just need some decent tires, the mcd racing tires are great on the rovan. The rovan is a clone of the mcd xs5 so the xs5 tires do amazingly well. I did a speed run on my rovan and mcd and got like 80 mph on 12s iirc. I didn't need anything special, it's just those rovan tires holding you back tbh. They balloon and make the car squirrely, I actually love them for parking lot bashing but if you try to go fast on them you're asking for trouble. I don't really agree with the other poster on a lot of stuff. 50 mph on my rovan sounds lame af but maybe that's just me! mine geared for much higher on 12s and I'm running 750 kv.

      @allscalerc  8 месяцев назад +2

      @BeautyBeastRC awesome, that's what I'll be getting. My motor is 1100kv. Do you think I should gear down. If the tires hold, I'm curious about what it'll do.
