The 2002 Buffalo Bills had simultaneously one of the best offenses but also one of the worst defenses and special teams in the NFL, so a lot of their early season matchups came down to whoever could outscore the other.
I remember I was attending the incubus concert at darien lake here in buffalo Which is also an amusement Park I kept running back to the car to get Score updates, it was Is pouring rain nonstop All day. The bills One, the game, an incubus one of the most, amazing concert.
Man I really thought Bedsoe was gonna bring the bills back to prominence when he left NE. They had the pieces offensively with Travis Henry, Pierless Price and Eric Molds. Anyway, remember how entertaining this game was. I love these Throwbacks because it causes you to remember some of the stars we may have forgotten over the years. Daunte Cullpepper was TREMENDOUS back in his Viking days.

Kind of a weird game in that there were a ton of points, but also the offenses struggled to execute, both teams' defenses made a bunch of RZ stops to hold the opposition to 3 points instead of 7, the kickers missed several kicks, and there were 7 fumbles.
Drew Bledsoe was looking for his first win with the Bills having fallen in overtime to the Jets 37-31 and also his first win as a starter since December 2000.........at Buffalo

I bet 95%+ of situations where a kicker missed two extra points from the 2 were from botched operations. Botched snaps, holds, laces facing out, drop snaps. He was clearly in a funk and as much as I hate people who say cut the kicker after one bad game this guy is the epitome of deserves to be cut for one game.
I just looked him up out of curiosity. He was really good for the time with over 80% of field goals made and made 83+% of his field goals in 6 game for the Vikings with 2 missed Extra points.

Bledsoe reunited with Bill Parcells that off-season in Dallas, where he spent the latter two seasons of his career, getting benched in favor of Tony Romo in the second.

Vikings must have liked what they saw out of Winfield and Big Pat because they became cornerstones of their defense a few years later.
