    I do not own the rights for these interviews and video footage, I'm just a Murder Inc fan who wanna share lost music and footages from his favourite artists.

    Whether you like or dislike Irv Gotti, he's a mastermind. He helped save Def Jam in the late 1990s.

      I wouldn’t say “saved” Def Jam. He assisted in some major acquisitions. One being DMX. But Def Jam had many of multi-platinum artists and labels on their roster, e.g. Roc-a-fella, Case, 112, Foxy Brown, Montell Jordan, Musiq Soul Child, Christian Millian, and Dru Hill just to name a few. I’ll give majority of that credit to Kevin Liles before handing it all to Irv.

    • @KD_SWAGGER
      @KD_SWAGGER 2 года назад +8

      @@OCRTBS Def Jam was on the verge off being taken away from Lyor Cohen & Russell Simmons y Polygram until Irv Gotti brought DMX to the table. This was all confirmed on the Murder Inc Documentary that can be seen on BET. All the names mentioned on here confirmed it. Irv Gotti was the one that brought Jay-Z to Kevin Liles and it was Irv Gotti that picked out Ain't No as a single.

    Murder Inc was a beast at it time. One of the biggest selling Rap labels in 2000. But they made some big mistakes. Ja being so big at the time and making so many hit made beef with big names like 50 cent, Eminem, Dr.Dre, DMX, Busta Rhymes. Maybe has to do with him trying to immitate Pac who so many beefs as well. Also when Prime was arrested & the feds thaught they had to do with his activity.

    I wanna see Irv Gotti MAKE a beat. Not play a beat or vibe to a beat, but MAKE a beat. He ain't no producer.

    • @JDede
      @JDede 2 года назад +2

      Irv said it in a lot of interviews that he doesn't play instruments. However, he programs the drums into an MPC and he gets Chink Santana, 7Aurelius, Artie Greene or Jimi Kendrix to play the instruments.

    • @brandon2521
      @brandon2521 2 года назад
