This set is overpriced lol. They throw in the dumb plaque and a “bonus” to crank up the price for no reason. Why does a 500 piece set even need a giant plaque
@@AlexTheGamer97 He's saying that you're buying the actual large droideka, and getting the mini one as a bonus. If this set didn't have the mini, most people probably wouldn't say anything, which is why he feels it's a bonus, which I agree with
I love buying prequel sets and i think the build is fantastic. They executed it perfectly in my opinion. For the size i would have purchased it day 1 for $55 but $65 seems little steep for the size and piece count.
Aside from it being slightly pricy, I really don't know what else to expect from a Droideka set. It looks like what a Droideka should. The transformation really doesn't look too complicated, I get that the legs had to be done like that for stability. The size isn't bad at all, pretty sure the designer had the play aspect in mind, too big and it can start to fall apart when rolling around
I personally adore the minifig-scale droideka! It seems like a thoughtful design choice to mirror it so closely to the best parts of the original design. I intend on becoming a droideka daddy this May!
glad to see they are going with paper bags now, it actually pissed me off how much plastic was going to waste just from opening up a box and seeing 30 different platic bags they were just going to be thrown in the bin
Just like the unique B1 battle droid and the commando droid head molds and the B2 torsos with unique arms they should just cut the cost and design us a brand new lego droid head mold and unique body parts to build more minifigure scale accurate droideka but still leave enough of that Lego aspect to it to not try to make it look too realistic and complex as in an Hasbro action figure.
I thought the black boxes were cool in like 2020 but now that every Lego Star Wars set is just a black box I think the Lego store looks depressing whenever I go to the Star Wars section
We have so many molds from lego for one character only. On god, just make a droideka mold. Lego tried so many times and failed. Just accept the failure and move on!
the top part of the minifg build is really good, it's just the legs and the eyes. if they made a specific eye and leg piece, not only would it make the perfect droideka, but those pieces would have so much applicability in other sets.
There are dozens of Droideka MOCs which are above and beyond of how this abomination of a minifig-scale Droideka looks. Just grab the instructions from Rebrickable for the best one for you, gather the bricks from Bricklink and build your own
@@bionodroid547 Blasters ain't even close. It's kind of a trash design. Mold is the best idea, I think. Lego's standards for durability really restrict the accuracy designers are able to achieve. I think the legs are actually the wrong shade of grey. I'm pretty sure the legs are a darker shade of grey on the bigger droideka than the minifig scale one.
Big or small I don't really care, I don't have a lot of space so it's perfect size for my shelf so I'm good with the size, price should be $50. I'm happy with this set 👍
Idk why lego keeps trying to remake the minifig scale of the droideka. Lile combine the head of the 2002 and the body of the 2013, you pretty much have a good design there
This set looks incredible, but there are a few things that would’ve been better like the minifig scale droideka. Other than that this set seems great and good video as always 😀👍
The fact that they got one of the most obvious parts about a droideka (the head isnt directly connected to the body, they have a long neck) wrong is so hilariously bad, lego does NOT care about the stuff they produce and sell huh
Can I ask why we are asking a display set to roll perfectly in a ball like the technic set? Nothing about this model says this was meant for play functions .The only critique for me is I wish the stickers were printed pieces. The droideka build is not that bad compared to some of the more recent variants although the oldest model used in the comp I will admit is better. For someone who wants a display piece at a versatile size this is excellent and is good value for people looking for the “UCS on a budget” set release.
I think your review was stinky and didnt properly compare the one set to the other, i also have watched other reviews and the fact that u compare their prices without considering 10+ years of inflation compared to other reviewers mind boggles me... the fact that u cant generate an honest opinion and formulate ur thoughts in a video which isnt live also hurts my head, saying "i hope you know what i mean", no bro u have literally forever to plan out a video, plan it out and figure out ur real opinion...
This is why we don’t get any prequel sets because they are just bad and the prequel fans are too cheap to buy anything like this. This one is a big pass for me. Waiting for Lego to release more UCS sets

Dude this set is amazing, what are you talking about?
I agree, the minifig-scale one sucks, but the main dish? Outstanding.
The small droideka is cute, definitely Legos best shot at this character so far. I hope to see it appear in future sets. Naboo N1 remake, anyone?
Always a great day when Solid Brie Studios uploads. 🔥🔥

That $50 technic droideka in 2000 would be $90 today. So not fair to say the 2000 set was a better value.

Looks good - will at it to my list - but Tie interceptor and the Brick Headz looks awesome
Am surprised no one mentioned Bionicle The Bohrok had roll feature don’t know why they didn’t upscale into Droideka.

The new droideka is definitely an improvement, but compared to what other people have created with mocs, Lego could’ve done better.

the minifig scale one looks really derpy.
The black back drop makes the video dark
Only thing I didn't like about this build was the Indiana Jones whips as the arm cables. They are not a good fit and fall out pretty easily.
The only bad thing about this set is the mini scale droideka. The main set is perfect
Idk I think with a little tweaking the minifig scale version could look better.
Bro lowkey had a glow up
its the legs on the main set that throw it off they are too small
As someone who can not buy as much lego nowadays, I appreciate this not being a massive 200+ dollar set
