There is a lot to be embarrassed about. When you, and most of the world, considers you an artist, you should be above some things. One of them is playing in commercials.
@@NiePieerdol sooooooo in your mind it's better for an artist not to take advantage of their recognition by good money opportunities on top of showing a little distance to themselves?

@@mohamedelkayal8871 Oh, another man of culture! Have fun with them. Give Judgment a try too when you can. For a spin off it really lives up to the main series. Even surpasses some of the main titles by a lot
Yeah, he's failed as an actor for being too old, now he works as a car salesman at Daihatsu dealership in Tokyo, salary isnt much but it puts a food on his table.
The interesting thing is how much our culture has changed. A-list actors would do just about anything for the right amount of money, but they didn't want to be seen as more or less prostituting their image for a quick buck by taking jobs that were "beneath them" such as still doing TV commercials when they were supposed to be held in high regard only assigning their names to the best movies in order to protect their "brand". A loophole though was that they could do commercials overseas that their Western movie-going audience would never see, and it was in fact in their contracts that this could never be aired or released outside those countries accordingly, Arnold for example specifically talked about that decades later. These days though, you often only see major movie stars also doing commercials in their home markets and no one thinks twice about it that the guy that is supposed to have a superhero image is also promoting adult diapers or car insurance or whatever.
Guess many, if not all of these celebrities, included a non disclosure outside Japan clause in the contracts, but it’s impossible to remain hidden all these “gems” of advertising👌🏻
