      Do yourself a favor and don’t get into this business, it’s a flooring that’s slowly being discontinued. It’s an environmental mess and it’s being replaced by no wax flooring

      I do commercial and residential cleaning it's going well. Carpets are being replaced with laminate etc.. I do carpets on the side for customers as well its a nice add on. Make yourself versatile windows etc.. If you do not have a lot of money get yourself an Oreck Orbiter and learn how to use it. Don't over invest until you know your market. The Orbiter can clean carpets deep clean floors etc you just got to learn how to use it. @@reddnewmillennium

      ​@reddnewmillennium don't listen to him. I started my cleaning company 2 years ago and it's getting very busy just do everything about cleaning it's not only strip and wax also clean office, carpet cleaning, tile cleaning, shower cleaning etc. There's always stuff to do.

      @@shan2546 The doodle bug or doodle scrub is for agitating the stripper on the wax where the machine cant reach. Like close to walls and under things. For applying the wax, We use a large rayon mop and a regular microfiber pad.

    Now the person that taught me how to do floors will call the way you are using your machine dancing LOL but the way I was taught many years ago was the same way you doing it but when I started working for other people the one person in particular taught me the overlapping method where you go from one wall to another wall in a straight line overlapping is one thing I learned by doing floors everybody do it differently

      Oh yea definitely. I was actually taught to do it differently but I found this is the easiest and less time consuming for me.

      Hey! Sorry I just now seen your question. Everything was perfect until last week. The little giant water heater started leaking. I have to shut it down end of this week to be repaired.
      But other than that I love it. Makes things so much fast and easier.

      ​@@Metalhead0426 Our little giant did the same thing. Blew a hole in the coil. We were going to have it repaired but ended up upgrading to the 3ht with higher rated psi.

      Stripper must be diluted with cold water as directed.

    How many gallons of product did it take to do that room?

      You can figure one gallon of diluted stripper (1 to 5) to 500 sf then one gallon of wax to 500sf ( that's covering 4 coats)

      Everything I use is spartan brand. Emulsifier for stripper and On an On for wax.

      @@funwithgod6212 some times the stripper may not emulsify all of the wax. If it don't you can tell by how slippery the floor still is and also you can see the left over wax in the light

    How do you quote these cleans if you don’t mind me asking? I have an office I am going to do this with but it’s my first time and I’m clueless on pricing 😭

      I charge by the square footage. The price per square footage depends on your area. For instance, in the south where I am located prices are around .75 per sf but in California it could be as high as $2 per sf.

    Would it be feasible to use a push vac like a Hoyles to pick up the strip water instead of squeegeeing it?

    how long do you have to wait between each coat?

      I normally have to wait 25 to 30 mins then about an hour after the last coat before I walk on it.

      Thank you! I use cold water only. Hot water doesn't have any affect. Actually I heard that mixing with hot can reduce the effectiveness of the stripper.

      @@derwingholston2550 no problem! You can use hot water to rinse if you would like but it's not necessary.

    Just installed this type of flooring in my kitchen…do I need to strip it and wax it right now after installing? If so which home products should I use? Thanks so much!

      Yes. Give it time for the glue to cure. Probably 3 to 4 days depending on humidity. Its doesn't matter what stripper you use just so its for removing acrylic wax. I would probably go with a low maintenance acrylic wax. I like spartan brand but that's what I can buy locally. Try to find a good quality wax (16% plus solids) then Lowes or home depot wax as a last resort.

      @Nicole Estrada no problem! just sweep and mop with neutral cleaner then burnish with a high speed buffer.

      @Nicole Estrada as far as what to charge, I'm not sure what to tell you. The price ranges for this type of work varies a lot depending on where you live.

    What color pad would I use to strip the floor with the side by side?

      You can either use a dark green or black pad. you may have to change it out often or flip it over depending on how much wax you are dealing with. An 80 grit stripping brush is the best.

      @@saulpaul7263 That depends on your area and cost of living. For instance, I live in MS where cost of living is lower so I do pretty good charging .60 to .75 sf. In states like California Ive seen prices as high as 1.50 to $2 per sf.

      .60 per square feet is what I charge so this job was around $2700. 3 of us stripped it because I was busy at the time and needed to knock it out fast. 2 of us waxed it the next day. This job could have easily been done in one day.

      I charge by the square footage. Price per square foot will depend on your area. It ranges from .60 to 2 dollars a sf. It comes down to how much people are willing to pay and how much profit you need to make.

      @Antonio Cognato we split this in 2 days because I had other jobs going on but we could have knocked this out easily in one day. I'd say about 12hrs

    Water to neutralize. Why do they say to buy a neutralizer? I rather just use water too.

      Ive always used water and it works great. I guess a neutralizer could help lower the PH but its not necessary IMO.

      I guess it could be if you put down many coats. I usually do 3 coats and never had any trouble.
