I enjoyed doing all the raising canes restaurants in Louisiana all the way to Huston and even residential floors and car ports, garages. From flake to pearl I miss the trade!!
This dude is a good teacher - calm and helps you feel confident while you're doing the action. Rare in this kind of work. My question is did you guys sand this or did you not have to bc you did the epoxy layer first? Or is this a new construction and you didn't feel like you needed to?
The floor was shot blasted to make it really porous, then we did a thin coat of epoxy to seal the poors and minimize outgassing. This layer also creates an extremely strong bong with the concrete so it'll last a LONG time. From there the decorative coat can be installed. ALWAYS prep the surface to ensure a strong bond between the substrate and coating products💯
When you put the 1st sealer coat for outgrowing why did you not score the floor again before pouring the basecoat? Also do you need respirators when applying?
He did a fantastic job on that floor and I think the way you talk taught them how to put that product down. It’s a great process fresh product. Learn the system now you can take that system anywhere you going to make a boatload of money in that flooring system, I can’t wait to do it myself.

I have a 250sq ft basement room I want to epoxy, I removed all the tile and started to remove the left over thinset. I got about a quarter removed, was wondering do I need to remove everybit of thinset down to bare concrete or is okay to knock just the high spots down and leave the rest with standard grooves. Will the epoxy fill in the gaps? Or should I use a self leveling concrete on the whole floor first or continue to chisel/grind the thinset down? (So much dust)
Question, me and my wife want matte finish epoxy floors in our new house. We currently have stained concrete. Ive noticed in some lighting you can see where our dogs have scratched across the floor and some areas are faded. Do epoxy floors hold up well with animals and fading?
I've been a flooring installer for 30 years now, thought about getting into this side of it. What's the labore rate on this? Per sqft? How bad is the odor? How long does it take to fully cure? Last but not least... how durable is it? If you jack a car up with a jack or sit it on jack stands, will it sink into the epoxy? By the way, just subbed! "LETS GO"

On that one I’d charge $6.50 tops in Tampa Bay. Have to read client on how much they are willing to pay. Low voc on that one. Polyaspartic is where you get the fumes.
Question… I just had an epoxy floor installed in my garage. The contractor used a shot peen machine which left swirl marks EVERYWHERE. He also put epoxy over sand and debris on the floor. No cracks were filled and the coat is thin in many areas. Can I repair the cracks..re-grind the epoxy and attempt to re-coat the floor. Thanks
I just got 3 H&C shield Crete kits, gallon of clear coat and a bag of flakes for free from my neighbor. Spent the past few days scrubbing the floor to just realize I’m gunna have to grind it after all(last owner put peel n stick carpet out there so no oil stain ever got cleaned up for many decades)😂 should I use something like behr concrete primer before applying the epoxy floor? My slab is in a floodplain so it always has some humidity, I read in multiple articles that it works well for paint(my original plan before I got all the free epoxy stuff) I’m curious if I should still use the primer or if I should just return it with the other paint supplies. Also it’ll be in a garage that’s going to get wet in the winter, will it be slippery?
Whether or not you have to remove the previous layer depends on its condition. No matter its condition, you want a clean, even surface for either our primer, vapor barrier, or prep replacement primer to go over and bond with. This might require sanding the previous painted surface and leveling it out with a flood coat of epoxy. For guidance on your specific project, contact our customer service at 1-844-LEGGARI (534-4274) or customerservice@leggari.com.
I have two questions. Did you say 45 square-foot per gallon so if I'm doing a job over 500 ft.² I need about 12 gallons of epoxy? Also, is it mandatory to sand down my concrete garage floor first or is seal it with a layer of epoxy sufficient?
hello! Coverage per a square foot depends on what kind of application you'll be doing. If you input your project square footage here, the amount of epoxy and other products you need will automatically be calculated! leggari.com/order-flooring/#hardwood-overlay-kits For floors, you really want to make sure the substrate is prepped well. We highly recommend shotblasting the existing surface to ensure that it is porous and a strong bond is established between the floor and product. And yes, we also highly recommend applying a scratched tight seal coat of epoxy before the decorative coat in case of outgassing. If you order a kit from us, we'll send you an instruction video and you can have assistance from our experienced customer service. support.leggari.com/hc/en-us/requests/newGood luck!

Why do you spray denatured alcohol on this coat ? Do you spray it on the entire floor ? Should this floor be rolled toward the end and if so, rolled before or after spraying it with denatured alcohol ? Thanks.
Definitely a primer specific to the product you'll be installing over. Our Primer and Epoxy bond extremely well, creating a lasting surface✨leggari.com/product/wb-primer/
Is epoxy permanent? Can it ever be tore back up to the natural cement if someone didn't want it, or is the only option to do another layer and possible design or cement color over the old epoxy. Also can it be textured for no slip?
It can be removed but it is easiest to re-coat over it. Our topcoat has a "grit additive" option that really enhances grip > leggari.com/product/wb-urethane-floor/
You will want to shot blast and remove that layer to ensure a really strong bond is created between the existing substrate and the epoxy products going over it. This will enhance longevity and durability. You can learn more about these products here! 👉 leggari.com/order-flooring/#metallic-epoxy-kits
How do you clean the tools and with what? Say I had two jobs in a day; maybe best to have two sets of everything or is clean up fast. Also prepping the floor from motor oil spots to cracks? You have anything out there?
It depends on the condition of the paint! No matter what, you always want to coat over a porous surface that will bond to the product you're installing. In most cases, this requires grinding or sanding the existing surface. For specifics on your project, feel free to reach out to our team support.leggari.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
We have several 2:1 ratio products but for this project, our Metallic Epoxy is 2 parts A to 1 Part B. Learn more here! leggari.com/product/metallic-epoxy/

Find them here! leggari.com/order-flooring/#flake-floor-kits This system is a little more complex but same thing-very durable and versatile: leggari.com/order-flooring/#hardwood-overlay-kits
Yes! Preparation will differ. You'll need to create a smooth surface by ensuring the tiles are solid, grinding any seal coat off them, doing a flood coat, then the decorative coat can go over that. You can check out our flooring products here! leggari.com/order-flooring/
Looks great. Excellent tutorial. So can you do this inside on a basement floor and what are the attachments on their sneakers, how do the spies not track product? Love this concept ❤️

Hey, got a humble question: I already have paint in the floor but I want to do epoxy should i remove the paint?
It depends on the condition of the paint! No matter what, you always want to coat over a porous surface that will bond to the product you're installing. In most cases, this requires grinding or sanding the existing surface. For specifics on your project, feel free to reach out to our team support.leggari.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Can you do this over tiles ?
Yes! Preparation will differ. You'll need to create a smooth surface by ensuring the tiles are solid, grinding any seal coat off them, doing a flood coat, then the decorative coat can go over that. You can check out our flooring products here! leggari.com/order-flooring/
