A great teacher+1st quality materials= GREAT JOB. Every second of your videos is pure gold for me. Thanks for all your effort to share with us your knowledge.
A great video as usual. I have a suggestion to make if you can mention the time and the date on the corner of the screen then the audience would be able to understand and learn at which time you started laying primer, what time you put the first layer of epoxy and after how much time you added the highlights etc. The audience will understand more effectively if they can know the time required for one coat to dry out and the number of days needed to do a garage of a certain area. Please also accept my gratitude for making such informative and amazing videos.
Thank you for watching and for your feedback! We send in-depth installation videos to anyone who purchases our kit which really helps each installer have a successful project🔥
This dude is a good teacher - calm and helps you feel confident while you're doing the action. Rare in this kind of work. My question is did you guys sand this or did you not have to bc you did the epoxy layer first? Or is this a new construction and you didn't feel like you needed to?
The floor was shot blasted to make it really porous, then we did a thin coat of epoxy to seal the poors and minimize outgassing. This layer also creates an extremely strong bong with the concrete so it'll last a LONG time. From there the decorative coat can be installed. ALWAYS prep the surface to ensure a strong bond between the substrate and coating products💯
I've been a flooring installer for 30 years now, thought about getting into this side of it. What's the labore rate on this? Per sqft? How bad is the odor? How long does it take to fully cure? Last but not least... how durable is it? If you jack a car up with a jack or sit it on jack stands, will it sink into the epoxy? By the way, just subbed! "LETS GO"

Let's GO!! 400 Sq. foot garage floor. It has a taper to it for water drainage so that's something I have questions about...a slight taper, which a high percentage of garage floors will have...just don't want my product to run out and down the driveway...lol.
Yes most garage floors do have a taper! If it's minimal, you'll just want to keep and eye on things but typically it isn't that much of a concern. You can also install the epoxy after letting it sit in the bucket for a little while-it wouldn't be as fluid but you would have to spread it on the floor more quickly. A great solution for this is our flake floor kits-they are seamless, very easy to install, and hide any imperfections beautifully😍👉 leggari.com/order-flooring/#flake-floor-kits
@@LeggariProducts ...they also cut grooves/channels in the floor for water drainage. Obviously I need to fill(?) in those channels and fix any imperfe tions(cracks, damage to the concrete floor) before anything else. When you put the 1st sealer coat for outgrowing why did you not score the floor again before pouring the basecoat? Also do you need respirators when applying?

Why do you spray denatured alcohol on this coat ? Do you spray it on the entire floor ? Should this floor be rolled toward the end and if so, rolled before or after spraying it with denatured alcohol ? Thanks.

I have a 250sq ft basement room I want to epoxy, I removed all the tile and started to remove the left over thinset. I got about a quarter removed, was wondering do I need to remove everybit of thinset down to bare concrete or is okay to knock just the high spots down and leave the rest with standard grooves. Will the epoxy fill in the gaps? Or should I use a self leveling concrete on the whole floor first or continue to chisel/grind the thinset down? (So much dust)
The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we mist denatured alcohol to pop micro bubbles. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy.
where do you get the spikes I am doing this on my basement floor of my investment property I have worked with epoxy before easy to do and lasts forever and looks great
I just got 3 H&C shield Crete kits, gallon of clear coat and a bag of flakes for free from my neighbor. Spent the past few days scrubbing the floor to just realize I’m gunna have to grind it after all(last owner put peel n stick carpet out there so no oil stain ever got cleaned up for many decades)😂 should I use something like behr concrete primer before applying the epoxy floor? My slab is in a floodplain so it always has some humidity, I read in multiple articles that it works well for paint(my original plan before I got all the free epoxy stuff) I’m curious if I should still use the primer or if I should just return it with the other paint supplies. Also it’ll be in a garage that’s going to get wet in the winter, will it be slippery?

Let's go! Gonna do this on my small shop floor
Amazing! Be sure to send us before and after pictures of your project! We love to see customer projects🔥
I love watching your beautiful floors emerge. I would be interested to know how much this 800 sq ft floor cost material wise.

Let’s Go!
Also, what was the denatured alcohol sprayed on after the highlights? Why was that necessary? Please explain.
The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we mist denatured alcohol to pop micro bubbles. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy.
LET’S GO!!!!!!
where do you get the spikes I am doing this on my basement floor of my investment property I have worked with epoxy before easy to do and lasts forever and looks great
Was that one hour epoxy?
Can this be use on an outside wooden deck in a cold climate environment ? thanks
What are some steps to do a basement with a semi rough floor will you need to be sure the surface is smooth or no ?
Great stuff - would love to do this - from Perth Western Australia
The black streaks look like dirty oil spots. Nice job though, can you do a floor with salt eaten surfaces that's rough in many spots.
Are you willing to teach hands on? I don’t live in your state and would love to learn how to do this for myself.
