  • I recently purchased a Stihl BF-KM Mini-Cultivator attachment for my KombiMotor 131R…and it’s a cultivating gamechanger! There was one issue with the attachment “out of the box” that was easily fixed. Make sure you check the video out for more information on the “fix” and to see the beast in action!

    Nice video. Thanks. I have the Kombimotor and I'm definitely getting this tiller now that I've seen how nice it keeps that garden. And, fence that damn corn. :-)

    I've got a fs91r. Not a kombi, but saw another Stihl repair site that showed how to use the attachments on your straight shaft trimmer.
    Anyway, wanted to see how this attachment worked on garden work. Think I'll get me one.

      I would highly recommend it! This year I'm not raising the beds, should make clean-up between the rows fast.

      Our first is about an 1/8+ area. I'd like to leave half in the rows we've got established, but we had a heck of time later on with weeds. Missouri heat and humidity can turn a garden into a jungle lickety split. This tiller attachment should allow us to stay on top of our rows without disturbing the vegetable roots and plants

    These Kombi attachments will work on non-Kombi straight shaft power heads and it's very easy to change heads with the T25 scrench that comes with the trimmer.
    I got a Kombi cultivator attachment today and it runs fine on my Stihl FS 120 R and it was set correctly.

      Did you change the normal shaft to the kombi attachments generally or do you change the shaft on the motor everytime you want to use the original trimmer version?
      And if you did it as I guess;
      Isn't it too much effort to change the shafts on the motor everytime the attachments need to be changed, because of the several requirements of such tools, although its driven by the same motor?

      @@FendtfahrenSpritsparen I don't remove the drive shaft from the motor every time I just swap out the heads using the combination spark plug wrench and Torx T25 driver head that was supplied with my FS 120 R.

      @@rayanator105 Thank you for answering that fast, do you have a video of it running with the cultivator head?
      And how about the material consumption of outscreewing and tightening, is it moderate?

    • @rayanator105
      @rayanator105 Год назад

      @@FendtfahrenSpritsparen I don't have a video of it running with the cultivator head and as for wear and tear from loosening and tightening the screw it's minimal if anything because I don't change heads very often.

    how do you take care of the grass the grows inbetween your plants?

    • @theroyboys2
      @theroyboys2  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! If there is enough room I will sneak the cultivator between the plants. In some instances I will use a stirrup hoe or just pull by hand. For the corn, I just take care of the rows and leave between the plants.

      The attachment I have would not work on the FS-130...I'm not sure if Stihl makes a head that you could swap the string attachment with on your 130.

    Pretty ignorant about these things can you just put this attachment on a stihl weed eater?

      This attachment is specific to the Kombi units.

    • @RayzorJaxAuf

      Technically you can if you remove the head from say a standard FS91, you could remove the attached shaft and bolt it right on, at least I've seen someone put a hedge trimmer on an FS91 that way. Kombi and the standard trimmers are from what I can tell essentially the same motor wise(across the different models of course), the kombi system just makes it far more convenient to use different attachments
