Probably because Israelis in illegal settlements are getting vaccinated while the Palestinians, whose land is being stolen, are excluded. It is a great shame that Dr Campbell allowed Dr Belik to slide over this fact by a vague reference to things being different in the territories. He means the areas where Israelis are illegally occupying land that belongs to someone else.
Hi Dave, I am in San Diego, California and I watch Dr. Campbell everyday. I appreciate him. I don’t know about the people who gave a thumbs down. That’s odd. Maybe they want to go out and do what they want.

@@avigayegos1496 Reasons behind near collapse of economy According to the report, the reasons behind the near collapse of the Palestinian economy are the expansion and tightening grip of occupation, suffocation of Gaza’s local economy, a 6% drop in donor support between 2017 and 2018, deterioration of the security situation and lack of confidence as a result of bleak political horizons. Even though all sectors of the economy are constrained by occupation, agriculture and manufacturing are disproportionately impacted and the ensuing massive trade deficit adversely affects economic growth. Between 1994 and 2018, the share of manufacturing in the economy shrunk from 20% to 11% of the gross domestic product (GDP), whereas the share of agriculture and fishing dropped from over 12% to less than a paltry 3%, the report says. The viability and competitiveness of Palestinian producers are undermined by the multi-layered system of physical and administrative restrictions deployed by the occupying power. In the West Bank alone, 705 permanent physical obstacles restrict the movement of Palestinian workers and goods. They include checkpoints, gates, earth mounds, roadblocks and trenches. In addition, the economy is further weakened by the Israeli ban on the importation of a long list of “dual use” essential technological and intermediate goods as well as other critical production inputs (“dual use” goods are civilian ones deemed, by Israel, to have potential military applications). unctad.org/news/palestinian-socioeconomic-crisis-now-breaking-point
Some people in the UK seem to be claiming that the Israeli vaccination programme is successful because of the involvement of the military; I’m sure they do help in many emergency situations, but surely the main lesson is that Israel has a well-funded and organised health care system which has not been starved of resources. Not too long ago we had an effective infectious disease recording and reporting system, now we are trying to rebuild it under the leadership of someone with no relevant knowledge at all.
@schlaberdasken -- From the Guardian of January 3, 2021: "Despite the delay, the [Palestinian] authority has not officially asked for help from Israel." So apparently Palestinian authorities aren't worried. They believe that they can manage the situation.
The first person who told me of the importance of Vit D was my friend, an Israeli nurse. This happened around eight years ago so I was already taking it when the pandemic began. I would also say that, having been to Israel several times - once for an extended period of time on a kibbutz - I believe it's also the case that the average diet is healthier than most places in the West. It can be quite a surprise to see teenagers sitting down to salads for breakfast! Over the course of my time in Israel I saw almost no obesity and most young people have very clear skin.

Australia has been pretty much back to normal (apart from a few social distancing rules) for some time already. Cases have been low since April, with one exception: the state of Victoria (with about 1/4 of the population) needed a second, very strict lockdown for 3 months. Even though most of our deaths happened during that period, our overall death rate per capita is only 1/10th of Israel. Also, New Zealand has done even better than us. What we did differently was shutting our borders! Citizens and residents are allowed to return home, but there is a mandatory quarantine period of 14 days in a hotel room upon arrival. I cannot understand why other countries aren't doing that too. I think too many govts have tried to minimise disruption to their economy. In practice, getting serious about suppressing the virus first will very quickly become the best option for the economy too. Sorry if this sounds a bit preachy. I do catch the Israeli ring in it, and I have a hunch he has a better-than-average Hebrew accent considering he moved there in his late 20s. It really depends on the country of origin. I moved to Israel at 11 from Argentina and my accent is almost indistinguishable from a native Israeli (siblings were 8 and 5 - they're perfect native speakers). I've met other South Americans (Spanish speakers) that moved after 12 who have a thick accent they never were able to shake off. I've also met native born Israelis who carry a lot of the accent from their immigrant parents (mainly East European) even with a mostly Hebrew upbringing. Americans struggle the most. I have met South African and Australian immigrants that moved later in life to Israel who managed to work out a very convincing native-sounding Hebrew. Three English speaking countries, three different dialects and very different outcomes when it comes to speaking Hebrew. In my experience, American English has proven to be a difficult mold to break out of because of strong pronounced diphthongs (au, ei, ou, etc.).

We could only go out for essentials after sending a text stating our reason and waiting for a reply to tell us if we had permission or not. We could only go out once a day for exercise but we weren't allowed to go further than 2m from our homes. Our airports only permitted repatriation flights and the passengers were all tested on arrival and stayed for 2 weeks in allocated hotels paid by the government. We had a good summer, we received tourists from the UK and Europe but now we will be told on Friday we are going back into full lockdown.

I think the failure of the US is that each State has "State's Rights" where each State can make their own rules. If we are the United States, there should be one game plan. Then stick with it. No on/off, this way or that way. Find out what works and stick with the rules. But our Freedom is also a Right which Americans take pride in independence. That could be our undoing.
Australia is that model where the states run the show, the federal government can only in practice look after the international border. Close your state border to all states and territories with a case of community transmission in the last 28days ( all of them) , special arrangements for workers ,goods transport , medical care etc. other wise 14 days mandatory enforced hotel quarantine with 2 tests on days 3 and 10 at the cost of the person/s entering other than compassionate reasons. Refuse to be tested add 10 days to quarantine and costs. This method works and it is within your states right to do it. I have just spelt out the basic rules in general terms of Queensland Australia, about 500 cases of community transmission and 7 deaths I think from a population of approximately 5,000,000. The reward for this method is your state can be completely open internally when you get rid of the virus. Should take about 12 weeks for most states with an initial proper lockdown because immunity rates from catching the virus plus vaccines is much higher everywhere than Victoria Australia was and they could do it after reaching 500 cases per day. If any strain evades the vaccines you will be back to January 21 last year, also having this virus rampant doesn't preclude another such zoonotic virus entering the world which some say is about 1% chance as in once in a hundred year thing.

@@ralph95 Israel is definately a much smaller population ...and the UK is a small country but an extremely overcrowded population...not much space surrounds each other to keep this so called distance..so the likelihood of catching the virus has been inevitable. So yes, we are paying the price of cases and deaths... In the USA it's the overcrowded states that have the most deaths..too.. Many states haven't seen more than a hundred deaths. New York however, what with ..skyscrapers the overcrowding there.. It'll remain vastly on top with its death toll.. along with other smaller states with over crowding going on ..
There are many preexisting mechanisms in place to control the population in Israel. It was easier for them to go into total lockdown where you don't leave the house for any reason. Can cost your life during a war.

It's hard to have a coherent accent in Israel when most of the population is compromised of immigrants.
I watch from beginning to end. I want to be in the know. It’s important.
Thank you to both Drs.
At 11:10...John skirts um...erm the political ethnical and religious disparities of the region and continues to be the consummate professional we have come to know him to be. Thank you John.
Thank you For the all updates about this pandemic. In April I lost my husband(COVID-19)...now I am feeling I lost the track in my life...and your video helping me believe an everyday something positive happens. Thank you Dr. Campbell.💖
Sorry for your troubles. May your heart be lifted.
Thanks Dr Campbell much appreciated 👍
John I've been following you for a long time and to see this report on my home country made my day. thanks a lot for this! hope to have a great spring here in Israel! best vaccination program in the world!
Thank you so much for this we need to know all the lessons learned by humanity all this knowledge helps so much grazie Mille ciao ciao
I live in Cyprus which is not far from Israel. We had the same kind of lockdown for 3 months.
Thank you for this Dr John.
Wonderful friendly interview and very interesting that Israel is well ahead of the game.
Great show! Nice to smile for a serious subject. Thanks again.
Good grief, I had to look twice, thought I was hallucinating seeing 2 Dr John's🤣😂fascinating insight to Israel, so glad they are doing so well. Lovely Doctor, very nice to hear from other countries. Thankyou John, superb interview😊🌺xxxx
Hi John, can you provide an update on the situation in South Africa too please? Thanks
Great work - Harvey is the best!
sounds great! big thanks for the older ones to volunteer as test bunnies, tumbs up!
Crash test dummies
Great report thanks John!! I too really appreciate how clear you are. Good to hear how things are in Israel..
There's been a number of adverse reactions and vaccine deaths not least in Israel, is anyone tracking these?
Or is it just a ghoul fest were vaccine companies track their sales via vaccine trackers?
I enjoy your variety of guests and interviews. Thank you.
Pleasure to listen to both Dr.'s respected people.
Compared to any politician
You wanted a military government the other day.
Wow tragedy how little freedom is respected now a days and how easy it is for people to believe narratives that goes against their interests
Thanks John, you are once again quite welcome on a screen in my home today.
Great to hear what is happening in other countries and attatudes within Israel best wishes

Another great interview, thank you Doctor, I enjoyed every minute!

This was a very interesting interview. Thank you, Dr. John, for bringing it to us. Joan from Florida, USA
Very interesting! Well done Israel, your leading by example.
very interesting. thank you.
Thanks. The more perspectives we may consider, the better our understanding.
Interesting and informative video. Thank you.
Were you separated at birth?
Any update on the SA variant?
Thank you fellas. If Dr Harvey has a page I'd love to follow him.
As always, down to earth, no messing about, straightforward talking
In Belgium they’re not planning to vaccinate in weekends , I have no words for this. Actually I do but 😡
Well thats dumb
Idiotic. This is an emergency, not a Monday-Friday, 8-5 situation. US is losing at least a "9/11" or "Pearl Harbor" event EVERY DAY
Fuck sake man - sounds like a local government running the show.
@@bchollis1451 hoping they see sense
In the Netherlands they can't repackage the Pfizer vaccine, because vaccines are only allowed to be distributed in the packages of the pharmaceutical compagnies. Some bureaucrats should be put in straitjackets to prevent them harming themselves or others. (I was angry when I posted this. I think now it's not the bureaucrats who are to blame. It's the politicians who have to make the decisions)
Brilliant conversation and great info Thank you so much I put all johns Videos on Pinterest I agree these two good men are Doppelgangers How odd
Please John let us hear more from Harvey together you are a clever and wise team ex Sheffield

LOL...Harvey still has his earthy Victorian accent.
Thank you all the information. I am looking forward to the opportunity to receive the vaccine.

how nice to hear someone from renana I'm from Renata I was born in America and became an Israeli citizen lived there for a long time came back in 2014 and think of going back I wouldn't say so much that Renata's middle class to me it was up a class very expensive but yeah I had my health taken care of in Renata at the makaveli Medical Center is a great place every other corner has a block Long Park there's a zoo yeah really cool place love it great people I was I was an immigrant when I moved there but I also noticed there's a large population from South Africa and from the Latin American countries and also from Russia of course anyway not this has nothing to do with covid but just thought I'd put this in here because it was really cool yeah that this man is from renanda sincelius, Bob the blind bedroom guitarist yes I'm blind that might be why it's one long sentence grammatical errors etc I'm using speech to text and it has its own take on the English language
It's your doppelgänger Sir Dr. John Campbell, all jokes aside another excellent informative post. 👍✌🏽
Israel :
456,139 total cases 3,496 deaths..
8,687,026 population...
UK..
2,774,479 cases
76,305 deaths
68,068,853 population
Just to update anyone of whom continues to follow the data...
Very small population
@@ralph95 Israel is definately a much smaller population ...and the UK is a small country but an extremely overcrowded population...not much space surrounds each other to keep this so called distance..so the likelihood of catching the virus has been inevitable.
So yes, we are paying the price of cases and deaths...
In the USA it's the overcrowded states that have the most deaths..too..
Many states haven't seen more than a hundred deaths.
New York however, what with ..skyscrapers the overcrowding there..
It'll remain vastly on top with its death toll.. along with other smaller states with over crowding going on ..
Covid is seasonal and Israel has a completely different climate.
There are many preexisting mechanisms in place to control the population in Israel.
It was easier for them to go into total lockdown where you don't leave the house for any reason.
Can cost your life during a war.
@@NibbleIT Not in the tropics, seasonality makes little difference over time. Brazil is in the tropics and hasn't done well. Israel itself hasn't done well, they are just doing well at distribution of emergency approved vaccines.
So this is what you've been doing, Harvey! No wonder I can't get an appointment with you!!
I hope people are really listening to all these different DR'S. and Professional's speak, why THE HELL WE DIDN'T HAVE THIS IN THE US, boggles me, and yet still people are up each other's ass with out a MASK! Dr John, I'm a huge fan. (American living in Switzerland) I'm a scientist (PhD biologist) and I've been watching your channel for months. I've noticed that you never address Switzerland. It's a bad situation, maybe you could address that?

Turns out, that after this whole time, out and about everyday in Stockholm, public transit, shopping malls etc, often quite crowded, and I still don't have any antibodies. Does that mean I haven't been exposed? Could I have been exposed, but my immune system fought it off before any infection took place? Have had no symptoms at all. Does anyone here have any idea?
I think if your immune ystem had fought it off you would have antibodies. Maybe you have managed to avoid anyone who could have infected you. Stay well :-)
@@YvonneWilson312 It could be. Funny in that case. We never had a lockdown in Stockholm. I have been out and about everyday since this started. I have a job where I meet lots of people face to face all the time.
Interesting that Israel has an online registration system for the vaccine. So does Switzerland. Why is the NHS instead reaching out to people?
What is the recommended daily dose for vitamin D I should take?
Ask your dr. It's individual.
