I love the yuga vs lukeman duel for two reasons. One it's a great duel between the two main characters with both of them busting out there fusions. Two, the writing and costumes makes it feel like a Halloween episode and it was so fun. And yuga getting, what I believe, his first win against Luke was very satisfying to see
I feel this is the duel where they completely integrated the overall zaniness of Sevens into the show itself. Even the shooting star moment didn't take away from it for me, because not only have other protagonists done very similar things, but it just fit the craziness of the duel perfectly well overall.
Replace Halloween with Tokusatsu homage because it's Japan after all. But yeah, pretty much this^.
I love how each duel the monsters get different expressions for each duel depending how either player feels like for Mimi vs Yuga her monsters looked very happy when she played her spell card and Seven Roads looks sad when she played the exact same spell to reduce his lp and when Yuga was acting evil vs ☆Luke man his monsters acted evil as well just wished we had like a fusion of a Fusion with another Fusion monster like Sevens Paliden and Superstrike Dragon Dragiastar F into Dragonic Seven Knight ☆F

I remember one of Mimi's monster have an expressionless and tired emotion, due to the number of times she has been sent to the graveyard, and revive back to the field.

Yuga vs Lukeman was a favorite of mine. Loved the duel, the MegaMan inspiration. The explanation behind the Lukeman an electronic life form like whatttt
Yuga vs Luke round 4 is my favorite duel, a beautiful way to end the series

I actually wanna shine an honorable mention to Ranze & Rinnosuke vs Gakuto for a moment
This was in my opinion a great moment for the twins and not only that, but they manage to bring back Gakuting- Gakuting, of all things!- back and give it actual significance and weight. That requires skill, by itself. I'd love to write a ramble about how it relates to the reason gakuting was first introduced, the concept of how it represents Gakuto's growth and how Ranze and Rinnosuke both developed right alongside him- Ranze by trying to find her own road for a while and Rinnosuke by trying to hold up the Sougetsu style and its values even if it means going against Gakuto- and how it also implies Gakuto was still not sure he had come to the right conclusion and was still suffering from doubts which is why Monster Reborn even worked on him at all but thanks to the twins who have always been by his side is able to find newfound confidence; but I'm on my phone and my fingers already hurt.
I don't know if this would be in my top 10 to be fair, but I did want to mention it because I feel it was a very good duel
They managed to make Gakuting something emotional. GAKUTING. Something even the SEVENS show said it was just poor embarassment and they managed to make it something special
You have made some great choices! I don’t know if it’s a top 10 duel, but I really like Yuga vs Otes R2. Not only was it awesome to see Summon Skull, but I see it in a new light after the finale. Even though Otes was manipulating Yuga, in a way, it almost felt like he was trying to make sure what he went through didn’t happen to Yuga. To have our boy continuing to watch over and help Rush Duels grow rather than just stand by, maybe that’s one way Otes fell into despair after what happened to the duels he created.
I actually agree, I feel that second duel captivated me a lot more overall. Especially since at that point, we didn't know much about Otes. My problem with R3 is that we still didn't get a lot out of Otes other than he created Duels and fell into despair, but you do bring up a good point which makes his character more interesting overall. Sure he's a lunatic who would launch asteroids at kids, but deep down I do think he wants Yuga to succeed.
6:12 Probably what I loved the most of that Roa VS Yuuka Duel, was that Roa defeated her using low level vanilla monster. I haven't revwatched the episode BUT man just remebering it makes me give it credit for that
9:19 I kinda laughed at how happy Luke was for finally summoning a Maximum. Also, he winning by loop and not by battle was awesome
Here Are My Top 10 Best Duels In Sevens:
1. Romin Vs Princess G - I absolutely loved this duel from start to finish. Everything about Romin's character came full circle in this duel. Her insert song Are You Re:D was awesome. She was able to choose her own path that was best for her and showing that her passion and love for Rush Duels and Music means everything to her. And in the end, choosing to be with her friends while holding off on her music debut was a fair and respectful choice. A phenomenal conclusion for Romin.
2. Yuga Vs Roa R2 - It was a phenomenal conclusion for Roa. Him pretending to lose his memories so that Romin can accomplish her dreams and goals really made respect him even more as well as him overcoming the inferior shackles by defeating the Sevens Road monsters that he was smited by was really incredible to watch.
3. Yuga Vs Neil R2 - Loved seeing the Maximum monsters battling it out. Neil's Maximum representing his providence and Yuga's Maximum representing the courage, hopes and dreams of his friends.
4. Roa Vs Romin - This duel had me on the edge of my seat. The Rock N Roll Music Theme throughout the duel was phenomenal. Hearing Miniscape play in the background along with the dialouge matching some of the lyrics of the insert song was superb. I was happy to see Romin pull off the victory. A great duel overall.
5. Asana Vs Neil - Two amazing duelists going head to head. The dialouge between them was outstanding. Seeing Asana defending Rush Duels and protecting her comrades who are her pride was incredible.
6. Luke Vs Yuga R2 - Two of the main characters giving it their all in a duel that shows their passion and dedication as well as the respect and admiration towards each other.
7. Asana Vs Yuga R2 - Seeing Asana fighting for her family's honor and for her family's company was amazing. It shows her dedication and commitment to her family and comrades as a leader.
8. Neil Vs Gakuto - Incredible development for Gakuto overcoming his fears and doubts and pulling off one of the most shocking results of all time. Everything about it was incredible.
9. Yuga Vs Yuo - Loved seeing Yuo playing a tremendous role as a villain and him introducing Fusion which was phenomenal.
10. Yuka Vs Roa - It was really incredible seeing Roa fighting for Romin and his band. I loved that he used low monster cards representing his bandmates, showing that he truly cares about the band.

My top 10 in no particular order :
1) Luke vs Yuga R2 (It was surprising how Luke beat the main character the first time round , but a second as well ? This was by far the strongest of their series . Luke earned the King Of Duels title)
2) Yuga vs Nail R2 (I love how the Sevens theme played when Yuga won)
3) Yuga vs Otes R3 (even though I hated how Otes went round the other side of the moon and the duel resumed later on )
4) Yuga vs Roa R1 (I loved the story where it was thought that Sevens Road Magician was illegal and Yuga would’ve been DQ’d if he drew it . Roa kept making him draw cards until it was proven that SRM was legal)
5) Yuga vs Roa R2 (Roa wins . Enough said)
6) Luke vs Tiger R2 (My favourite sibling duel . Luke proved to his sister that they were alike. It made me laugh how Luke said he was calmed and activated that card with his eyes closed to prove that point )
7) Gakuto vs Rinnosuke (my favourite duel where a duellist’s friend duels to get their memories back )
8) Gakuto vs Nail (I loved the duel . We all knew that Nail was a strong duellist and Gakuto was amazing as well . I actually enjoyed the Gakuting persona and I was surprised at the draw result )
9) Gakuto vs Ranze (Ranze felt she was holding Gakuto back and wanted to leave the Sogetsu style , even being rude and disrespectful to make it easier . Great story behind the duel )
10) Yuga vs Asana R2 (The duel was great even though my favourite of Yuga’s Maximums got disintegrated. I think Goha promised to give Asana parts to fix her cherished machines if she won .)

Best duel for me is Yuga vs Luke in the last episode. Just because the first turn of Yuga just explaining his move normally like in the real world. Feels so real and will relate more with the players IRL. And the way he "summons" Sevens Road is so chilling.
Romin vs. Princess G is probably my favorite, strictly because I LOVE ROCK N' ROLL, baby!
The concert themed duels have a great aesthetic.
Luke vs Goha Yuga was my favorite, it was xciting and i had no idea who was gonna win
I really thought that could have been Luke's first ever loss!
Last turn was the stuff of legends. I also like the detail of Goha Yuga using a 60 card deck.
Romin vs. Yuga R2 definitely one of my top favourite duels. It is surprising to me how few people seem to list it given how hugely this duel push Romin's character development.
I really like that duel too, one of my favorites from the first Season. Really highlights how enjoyable Romin's dueling style and deck is.

Romin Vs Princesse G, Gakuto Vs Nail along with Yuga vs Luke(all rounds) but the final duel remains my favorite of all that time😍❤✊️

@@YugiohEverything one of my favorite duels was luke vs doverap. I love it because it really highlights just how crazy sevens is and it was just a fun duel. I still don't like luke and that dispure dragons should not exist, but it was still a fun ride

Not to judge but why do you like a duel that was over in 2 turns
Just binged all of Sevens. I initially didn’t intend to watch Sevens nor Go Rush but after seeing some scenes from both, I chose to watch Sevens and I’m happy with my decision. This show was awesome, the studio did a great job although I did have a few issues but the pros more than made up for it. The duels were great and I can’t wait to strat binging Go Rush.
Honestly Gakato vs Neil is probably my number one favorite. And it really was a one sided duel because Neil had the upper hand on Gakato but what made me more invested was that Gakato was going to go down down without a fight. And it's why I say Gakato is Kazewel done right.
Great list for duels, though I'm surprised you haven't considered the following duels.
- Yuo vs The Lukeman: Basically the surprise factor that The Lukeman (or Luke depending on how you see it) won the duel shows that Luke does not have the title of the best duelist of Sevens just for jokes.
- Roa vs Romin: Many already assumed that Roa would win the duel, but it was a great surprise that Romin won (especially when the treatment of female characters was always not the best)
-Luke vs. Tiger R2: Basically ends the rivalry between these two brothers and allows Luke to overcome his main trauma throughout the series (not to mention that Tiger casually destroys Luke's Fusion Monster, showing that she's not afraid of anything)
Honorable mentions for Yuga vs. Romin R2 and Yugs vs. Tiger R2 more than anything for the surprise factor (Yuga losing to the main girl who had already won before and Yuga losing to Tiger on his own turn)
The Yuga Romin rematch was satisfying to watch with the comboes she was racking up throughout.
Yuga losing to Tiger was an awesome subversion even if I don't think the loss was necessary. The show was making an effort to get us used to three turn duels, only to subvert that where Yuga loses in the third turn, his own.
It reminds me of Gakuto's loss to Yuran, but while that loss was telegraphed by Romin losing to Yuka, this loss didn't have much of anything hinting towards it until towards the very end of the duel.
That's one of the positives I keep hearing about sevens are the girls in this anime get better character development and more time to shine in comparison to their predecessors who got the shaft mid series or near the end due to lazy shonen tropes [I loves me some shonen anime but damn some of the creators can get lazy when writing for characters other than the main protagonist and rival sidelining wasted potential.]

Great list but the saddest thing about Neil vs asana is definitely Neil becoming a delivery cyclist for the ramen shop afterwards.

Ranking my favorite protagonists from best to worst
Yusei: if you can end with every problem of a society that’s so good he can go punch to punch with anyone always risking his life , he also solved problems that didn’t affect him and for the most time he saved the world with his friends( referring to having their help indirectly or directly
yami/yugi the originals one the ones that you think when talking about yu gi oh it were crazy times during the original but they defeated everything even if the meethods where crazy he saved all his friens helped the pharaon and turned the bad boys to guy guys
Yuma: to me he was the one that grew the most as a protagonist apart from Jaden
Yuya: he was a good character good background and good intentions but sometimes his I wanna make everyone happy attitude was a big problem for example when he tried to instantly convinced a new dimension to accept the format just because, or not having a grudge against Leo for everything he did to the dimensions like seriously he went to hate him to forgive him in their second encounter
Jaden: he started being goofy but after realizing his mistakes like prioritizing Jesse instead of his other friends he becomes more mature with the pass of time also starting season 4 he becomes a badass
Yusaku: not much background apart of being kidnapped not having the opportunity to lose a duel due to the risks and not exploiting his secret identity in storyline disappointed me
Yuga: the most realistic protagonist yes but are the other characters that shines the most

Nothing will ever be better than Asana VS neil. I remember being so excited to see the precious 2 “big bads” duel each other. It was just badass

I think you hyped up Sevens better than any official promo campaign. It almost makes me want to check out the series.
While the 2 parter rematch duel between Yuga against Luke, Roa and Neil were good, I have always preferred one episode duel instead. It's concise and the rewatch value is usually bigger if you just want to see one simple duel, enjoy it and be done. Because of that, my favorite duels have to be TheLukeman vs Yuou and Bakuro vs Hunt.
Not only those duels are concise, I feel like the duel quality and the direction was engaging enough for enjoyment and entertainment perspective. The duel's main point is simple, it punished player, like Yuou and Hunt, who underestimated their opponent and gloat their Fusion and Maximum in such a karmatic and glorious way. It's such an enjoyment to see these two characters got retribution for their actions, especially Yuou who got big-headed because of Fusion.
The final turn of the duels with TheLukeman and Bakuro was so engaging because you know they need to finish the duel ASAP to win. When those two finally dished out their Fusions, I was gleeing like a little child seeing a hero took out their trump card. Not only that, that final blow from Dragiastar F and Report Warship was accompanied by my favorite OSTs in Sevens and I said 'Take That!' when both Yuou and Hunt bite the dust.
While there are more longer and far interesting duels in Sevens, I would say if you want to just see an epic and glorious duel, enjoy it and be done, I would recommend those two duels. Those two duels while simple and short, it easily engaged your spirit. I can't remember how many times I have rewatched those duels and not being bored at all.
I would sneak in Yuo vs Lukeman due bias and bc it was a crazy duel that gets better knowing Lukeman invented fusion lol but i agree with most of these 👍
honestly there'e hardly any duels in sevens that I like aside from that final duel oh and the finals of the rush duel tournament

One that is one my favorites is Yoshio vs Mimi,seeing trying to honor hhis mother,without knowing he was dueling her is pretty cool.

I understand why but I’m a little sad Romin didn’t make the list. She’s definitely done better than most Yugioh girls though
Romin is great! She'll be well discussed in my Top 10 characters, her duel VS Princess G just missed out and is def in that 11-15 range! Her duel VS Roa is also a really good duel, prob Top 15 as well!
Romin, Gakuto, and Roa we're the ones I looked forward to watching duel the most because I love how their decks worked. Really the only disadvantage they have for me is that Yuga gets almost all of the two episode duels (I'm convinced Romin VS Princess G probably would've been a two parter if there was more time to wrap up the show, but it's still in my top ten along with Romin VS Roa).

Without counting any of the duels mentioned here, my favourite has to be any with Tiger or Haruka in it, and Yuga vs Nail Round 1 because it opened a road for dueling.

My favorite Yu-Gi-Oh sevens duel is Yuga vs Lukeman (Yuga vs Luke round 3). This duel is really funny and really well animated and this is Yuga's best win. 10/10.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I agree with your rankings (except for the one for number 1). I feel like that duel was one of the worse duels of the show and the ending of that duel wasn't really that great (in my opinion at least). I don't mean this in a bad way, i'm just saying that I didn't like the duel personally cuz it had me disappointed from the ending of it (and the beginning of it).

Yuo kinda seems to me a blend of quattro and Declan akiba cause Declan kinda has a back up deck that has circus like monsters I think and quattro uses a puppet deck

I hope Go Rush keeps the summoning mechanics, while also introducing Synchro and XYZ into the mix. Considering how Yudias boss monsters are Normal monsters, its a possibility?
At the current moment, I'm expecting his ace to be essential to a few power fusions/other mechanics to make up for it being weaker than the last aces. It's still pretty unique for being an insta sunmonable Ace without tributes or extra deck mechanics.

Is it bad that I wish the list had more entries? There were so many good duels in Sevens; Yosh v Mimi, Yuga v Romin r2, Yuga v Nail r1, the twins v Gakuto, Romin v Roa and many more
Given that most of the opening duels we're fairly simple (although I did like Yuga VS Roa and especially Romin VS Gakuto), it's nice to see that Sevens was still able to get a lot of great ones in the long run. Rush Duels aren't as complex, but when done right, they don't feel dumbed down.
My top 6 are
1. Goha yuga vs yuga and Luke
2. Goha yuga vs yuoh
3. Goha yuga vs otes.
4. Yuga vs nanaho
5. Yuga vs Luke round 5
6. Otes vs Yuga round 3.

2nd: Yuga vs Luke (Round 2)
3rd: Romin vs Yuga (Round 2)
4th: Princess G vs Romin
5th: Tiger vs Luke (Round 2)

Yuga vs Luke Round 2 is my overall favorite.
Such a back and forth duel with Luke getting the win as the opening plays.
Anybody else think Gakuto VS Nail might be their favorite draw in a duel?

PS: What's up with the text paragraph at minute 9:46?
It looks like those types of turns that, in previous Yu-Gi-Oh series, included things like Pendulum, XYZ, and other Extra Deck stuff (not to mention chains, Monster effects that interact with the GY and the Deck).
But we are talking about a Yu-Gi-Oh series where there are not many Extra Deck elements, there is hardly any Maximum, there are no chains and there are no Effect Monsters that have effects when they are in the GY.
Dylan is going to include every Hunt duel as his worst because he hates how the character evolve into.
The only duel I didn't like in Sevens was Roa vs Mimi
That was real I thought it was a parody series
I like The Lukeman, but Yuo had the potential to be a better villain. A shame that his sceentime was so limited.

I thought you mentioned Yuga Vs Asana R1 and Yuga Vs Romin R2, they defeated main protagonist: Yuga. Female won against protagonist.
I thought Roa vs. Romin could be in the Top: it has the same wow factor as Luke beating Yuga again.
