  • In this segment I will attempt to paint a spoiler and a front lip for my 2002 C5 Corvette. The material used to paint is all available on Amazon and the items themselves were purchased on Ebay. Both products are made out of polyurethane and are very flexible, so there needs to be a good amount of prep work to get the results you seek.
    Item used are listed below:
USC SprayMax 2k Glamour High Gloss: amzn.to/3zN5DbJ
    Duplicate-Color FP 101 Scratch Filler & Primer: amzn.to/3BWGdv6
Duplicate-Color Trim and Bumper Black: amzn.to/3JIHuaV
    Kleanstrip BD ADH Promoter: amzn.to/3JNlFqw
Dura Gold Ultra Fine Scuff Pad: amzn.to/3QwaNzG
    Spoiler: ebay.us/6GOXbE
    Front Lip: ebay.us/YvWLjB

Would you see a big difference if you used a sprayer at home vs rattle can? For this small trim part?

I think sprayer can actually give better results due to its design and spray pattern. Some of these rattle cans come with specific spray patterns that can mimic spray guns.

Can you spray 2k high gloss directly onto the polyurethane?

No, it will peel if you don't prep the surface and spray with primer.
