Nice job Emily. Thanks for the review. As a Costco Hearing Aid employee and user I can totally relate. One minor correction. You stated the Costco return policy was “AFTER 180 days” this is incorrect. It’s WITHIN 180 days and it’s from the date of delivery, that’s when you get your HA’s…I know this may be nitpicking but we want to be as accurate as possible. Thanks again for the review. Best wishes! Celebrating 30 years with Costco this year!!!!

Good review! 👍My dispenser at Costco was a Licensed Hearing Aid Specialist (LHAS), not an audiologist. The LHAS can perform hearing tests and fit hearing aids, but as you noted they cannot diagnose medical conditions like an audiologist. My hearing loss isn't complicated, so an LHAS was sufficient. Costco isn't currently offering a Kirkland Signature brand hearing aid, but they do have models from Philips, Rexton and Jabra, and it's easy to research them on the web to learn about their features. Costco is a good starting point for people looking for affordable hearing aids 👍👍

I’ve been hearing only 50% speech for over 10 years with my older 8 year old Costco Rexton hearing aid. I hope that this new bi-core technology will make me hear at least 70% of speech. The sample model I tried on made me hear way better and I hope this continues in real life situations. 🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏. Keep up the good work! I enjoy watching your videos and can relate to deafness with hearing aids.

The nice thing about Costco is that they are all trained in real ear measurements which give you the best chance to hear well with them. I have worn hearing aids from audiologists most of my life and recently went to try a new one at Costco and has been the best hearing aid I have had and has changed my life. It was a interesting video though!

Yet another great video! I hate the fact that deaf people in America have to pay to hear! It's good you have places where you can save money on hearing aids! But here in the UK if you need hearing aids you get them for free! They are loaned to until you die, plus you get free batteries & tubing! We may not get the top of the range ones but when your deaf your happy to hear something! Plus we have qualified audiologists that test & fit them! Perhaps with a new president some deaf person high up in your country could lobby for free hearing aids for those that cannot afford them! Nobody in this day & age should live in a near silent world when they could be helped! On a lighter note I love it when you tie your hair back Emily & you show off your white hearing aids & your molds,I love the silver looking hook bit that goes over your ears! The fact that you love your hearing aids is a bonus as you show them off! And I think more people will wear their hearing aids when they see yours! Your doing an amazing job! Maybe have a word with these hearing aid companies who may sponsor your video's & you get to test drive new products?? 💖💖💖

The Phillips brand that Costco sells won’t connect to iPhone and iPad at the same time..which is a deal breaker for me. So if your hearing aids are connected to your iPad you would have to turn off Bluetooth on your iPad to use your iPhone and vis versa. This is Costco in Canada.

I am considering the Kirkland Signature hearing aids because my mom had to pay 3000 dollars for one hearing aid only to have issues with them on day one. I have a really weird hearing loss combo of high-frequency hearing loss, and a central auditory processing disorder. Sadly, it's all genetic, as my grandmother had bad hearing loss at just 40 and at 75 she's deaf. What sucks is the fact that most audiologists would refuse to re-service my grandpas hearing aids which are top of the line and cost around the same pair for two with insurance.

    • @DefiniteHearing

Hearing aids are tech gadgets like everything else. Although from reading the ads for new ones they always make it seem like last year’s model is primitive junk, the reality is kind of like TVs or smartphones… it’s a mature category and there aren’t huge improvements from one year to the next. I just got new Rexton hearing aids at Costco, my previous ones were 4 year old KS 8.0s also from Costco. I don’t notice any big improvements in sound quality or hearing comprehension.

In the process of helping my dad move, I came across a pair of Costco Kirkland signature premium digital hearing aides 5.0 that he was going to get rid of. I'm a bit confused. Sounds like you're very excited about the Costco Hearing Aid. But at the end, you state that if money is an issue, it's better to get Costco than have nothing. So, are the Costco Kirkland hearing aids good, or are they just ok until you can afford a real pair? I do agree that dealing with an Audiologist is much better, but that's just one way Costco keeps the price down. Costco can pay a lower salary to their techs than a higher salary for a highly educated individual. That being said, is the Kirkland Signature brand as good as the 6k hearing Aids my Audiologist wants to sell me, or am I getting what I pay for? An entry level, no frills, basic hearing aid that will get me by until I save up six thousand dollars? Thanks.

I got the Rexton BiCore C R-Li hearing aids at Costco a couple of weeks ago (I think they are basically the same as Signia Pure Charge&Go models). Before that I’d used the Kirkland KS 8 hearing aids which were two or three years old.
The main reasons I upgraded were to get telecoil, and a rechargeable battery. I know the slightly cheaper Kirkland 10.0s also have those features, but I selected Rexton because reviews said they had the best battery life, and the charger was much smaller (also I’m pretty sure that the company that made the KS 8s was the same company that makes the Rextons - but I think a different company makes the newer KS 10s).
So far I have not really noticed any significant differences in sound quality or hearing comprehension compared to my old hearing aids, but I was mostly going for the extra features rather than hoping for improved sound - that was already fine and still is.
The Rexton app for my iPhone is fairly easy to use though I wish it could do more fine adjustments independently for each ear. And the charger works well but I had to contact Rexton support to figure out how make it work when unplugged (the instructions suck). Support was responsive and helpful.
They do pair with my iPhone and iPad through Accessibility settings, but switching between the two is often glitchy. I contacted Rexton and Apple and from the responses I got (and from what I recall with my old hearing aids) I am pretty sure this is mostly Apple’s fault, and will hopefully be improved in a future iOS update.
