Great job on the beef. I've learned the hard way that chuck is usually not tender at the same temperature as brisket, you gotta go higher. I'm going to try your braising method! Looked incredible.
@@PelletsandPits I am looking forward to this weekend. I'm going to have to time it right because we have a bunch of wet wet weather rolling through. Going to smoke a brisket flat and then a day or two later make a Texas brisket chili. I have a feeling it's going to be so delicious. Even the chili will be made in the smoker.
Whoa, insane! Really great approach. I'm not an Arby's horsey sauce hater either! Really fabulous looking! And bro, been there / done that with my kids...
Loved that you used two types of binders and rubs! I usually use mustard but wondered about adding a liquid binder as well. Your chuck roast looked and I am sure tasted great.
Dang, that is a mighty fine meal there! And I'm so happy that you are helping to get rid of that Horsey Sauce stigma. Its great. So is regular Arby's sauce! Especially on fried or smoked bologna.
It's good that you show folks that sometimes the meat isn't done and needs to be returned to the smoker. That's the true facts of life. Everything doesn't turn out perfect as most videos portray.
You need an outdoor sink Neal. Maybe something like a slop-sink?? I use something like that and wash my gloved hands real quick and they dry off really quicker. I love using the drippings to make a BBQ sauce that completely customized to that piece of meat. Arby's Horsey sauce is awesome! Just started growing my own horseradish and will probably use 5 gallon buckets. We'll never need to buy horseradish ever again! I also have a great recipe for the Arby's BBQ sauce that's dead on.
I mean...i think so...but I dont think it has the fat inside and would actually just over cook and be dryer...dont quote me..but thats my first thought...different cut of meat...
I do...I cook on them all....I have another channel as well...the flat top king...it gets used on that a channel too...i just counted I have 14 videos out of 60...
I don't like sweet sauce and yet I've loved Arby's sauce since I was a kid. Go figure. BUT - if it tastes like a McRib, there's one I ain't making. LOL!
I make burnt ends out of chuck roast by just a light spray of of water from a spray bottle then spg. Next I smoke it at 250 till have a great bark then wrap in butcher paper and cook til prob tender. I then let it rest down to 140 and then put in the fridge overnight to firm up. Next I cube it and put in butter, brown sugar, jack daniels bbq sauce, choped garlic and choped fine onion. Then I put on the smoker at 325 for 1 hour or until the meat is 150 and bbq sauce is tacky.
over thinking it...I absolutely NEVER said that...i have multiple grills and use them...all of them...pit boss, Traeger, Lone Star and another brand coming..has nothing to do with like vs dislike..
@@PelletsandPits it’s cool. I just thought the lone star was a much better smoker. But I guess the Traeger is right up there as well. I’m in the process of buying a pellet grill and it was just interesting that you like that one as well. Just can’t put down that much dough on the lone star.
hahaha you think a channel with 6,000 subs has anything relevance to a channel with 3 million...I wish...i dont watch his channel that much..not sure what he posted...

Yeah..maybe 208-210 would have been better....thats when it really got tender
Oh yes, Arby's Horsey sauce. I put it on everything! It's great on cheesesteak subs.

Pit beef is one of my favorite things on the planet. But Dylan isn’t a roast beef guy so I live vicariously through others ❤

So good Bobbi...we use it on pork as well...makes a good binder...
Omfg. Nice I’m gonna use my homemade cherry barbecue sauce. I love your dressing idea with the coleslaw.
Just made this for my uncle's birthday dinner!
Awesome..how did it go...
@PelletsandPits wasn't much left over so I'd say quite well.

I’m on the bank that this weekend in Labor Day
How do you get that much smoke? My Camp Chef at 350 has zero smoke when I lift the lid 🤯
Well...there might be something wrong...have you verified your temps...what pellets are you using...how old is our smoker..etc
@@PelletsandPits Thanks for the reply, been working on it. I’ll post here if I figure it out! Meantime Smoke Tube
why do you never cook on the LSG pellet cooker?

A fat separater is the way to go. They even have one that doubles as a pancake batter dispenser

Get some Chick-fil-A sauce yum.

ahhhahah just the pickles, onions, and vinegar....
Need to get a fat separator. They are amazing an easy to use for pork butts and roasts.
Looks fantastic pro tip Amazon cheap fat separator faster than spooning it off keep on smoking

How many freaking channels do you have Flat Top King?
hahah 2....lets hold steady for just 2...all I can handle..
