There were way more pros, for me personally, to go solo that made it an easy choice to finally go solo. I related a lot to this video. Great video!!

I’m homebased right now and it’s soooo hard building clientele but I was looking at spas and wax centers and the commission and hourly is highway robbery lol so I’m trying to thug it out as a solo esti

Awww yes love I totally understand you lol...you got this 💪🏿. Maybe I could do a video on how to build clientele, because that hourly wage and commission will have you like I'm just going to rock it out...😊. The growth shall happen.

Hello everyone! Thanks for sharing your insights and advice SBEaesthetics. I am hoping to find my way into making the correct decision. I appreciate the content you provide. A little bit about me: I completed my Esthetics schooling back in December 2019. I obtained my License in 2020.
One of the business advise given in class was to get our practice by working for a Spa before venturing into a solo practice. Well, Spas started to shutdown during the pandemic lockdown. So many esthetician and freelance makeup artists were suffering from this financial interruption that I became intimidated.
I started to second guess my decision. May of 2022 and I haven't given a facial since public clinic in school. It has been very hard on so many people that I wonder, how will I build clientele during this financial hardship.
I'm not giving up. I'm trying to assess realistic options. Meanwhile, I am homeless. So, here is the gamble: do I invest in a treatment room and hustle my way into this industry? Or, do I play it safe and wait until I can secure a roof over our heads to then proceed? 🤷🏽‍♀️. I'll figure it out, surely, but, coño, does it have to be this hard? 🤦🏽‍♀️
    🙋🏽‍♀️💞💫🇵🇷💫💞

First I would like to say congratulation on graduating because we know beauty school is fast paced and you can't really miss any days. I believe getting the practice in by working for a Spa is a great way to start before you venture into a solo practice.
I remember when i graduated from beauty school I went to work at a hair salon for 6 months and then after that I went solo. I believe this helped me out with the front end of things (like checking your clients out and rebooking).
This is totally my opinion so what I say does not guarantee anything love, I just want to make sure I say that first.
I'm a play it safe type of person so if I was in your shoes I would play if safe and wait until you can secure a roof over your head and then proceed. You want to make sure your home front is okay before you venture off unto a solo esthetician business. Again, this is just my opinion and I'm only going on what was said. A part-time job wouldn't hurt either. You can work part-time and start your solo esthetician business there for if you fall on short times your part-time job can help support your business. Hopefully this helps.
Much success and encouragement your way it seems your on the right track with getting your extra certificates and stuff. Keep at it Sis!!! 💚✨💪🏿.

    Ok....
I know nursing vs esthetician has nothing in related.
Having just recently graduated 🎓 from estie school I am willing to be the CEO, maintenance, payroll department, etc.. VS a Nurse DOING EVERYTHING, biomed, machine tech, PCT, social worker, dietician, manager, maintenance, doctor, secretary, medical record, home visits etc....
