I have wanted to do this as a career for years. I've been scared though because I'm close to 30 and in a job that realistically is double the salary I would likely make starting out as an esthetician on average salary. I also live in an area where there aren't many schooling options. But I really want to do it anyway because I'd like to do something I actually enjoy! Appreciate the honest video!
I don’t think any of us want to wake up and think “ what if “ if you can afford a little pay cut for a bit, go for it. There’s sooo many faces out there, Sam and I can’t do it alone!! 😛good luck ! If you have any questions, we are always here. Xoxo
I loved this video! Thank you for all the information you both shared. I’m in Florida and I just started school and I was definitely feeling a little bit overwhelmed, but this definitely helped. Keep making videos like this! ❤️
So glad you feel a little less overwhelmed!! Take it one day at a time! Thanks for watching. We will for sure making more. We are in the process of it this week. Any ideas what we should talk about?? 💋
@@VivaVitalityMedSpa I’m going to definitely be perfecting my craft before trying to do a lot stuff lol... but one thing I’m kinda confused about and maybe you guys can talk about is classes after school? Thank you guys!!!
I love this video! You ladies seem very friendly- would love to work with you! I feel intimidated going- for some reason I have always felt like what if I don't learn everything the way I should or if Im not smart enough for Esthetician School.
Thank you for watching! We made this video so people wouldn’t feel intimidated by switching careers or trying something new. You are smart enough for Esthetican school!! As long as you enjoy working with the public and skincare, that’s a must ! There’s tons of books out there to read while in school. You certainly won’t learn it all in school , just go and get the basics !

For medical esthetician- how do I get there? Do I take the basics Esthetician 600 hour course & from there- can I go back to school to further my studies so I get paid more/know more ? Or from the basics go straight to small courses & get certificates like that ? Hopefully you can make a video hehe😊❤️

Hi! I’m a master esthetician practicing in WA state! I would love a video on realistic income and some numbers from your state if you’re comfortable disclosing that of course. Thank you!💘
I’m also in the state of WA!! I am considering starting school. Would love to know the steps you took to become one, was there testing towards the end to actually be able to practice?
So what’s the point, if it doesn’t make you money. So I can expect to spend a lot of money on school, but I’m not going to make anything? The only reason I’d want to be an esthetician is because I thought it would be better income than the two jobs I have already. So if you want to be an esthetician don’t do it for the money basically?
I think the point is, don't expect to make a ton of money right out of school. There is a lot of other competition. You have to learn to hustle and to keep on learning new techniques etc. It's a wonderful career and you can make a good living, we just are telling others to not ASSUME right when you're done with school, you'll be making 6 figures. Now, if you get a good handle on social media you may be able to sky rocket that way.
Oh man this is so scary … I left my job to do this 😂 ughhh … Torn between doing what I want to do with the risk of being financially unstable Vs doing what I have to do hating my job in order to survive this economy 😭😭
How exciting! This career is so much fun and is always changing. Don't be nervous! Have a healthy respect for the skin and learn everyday. Stay in your lane and perfect one trade at a time, don't try to do too much at once.
Is it really necessary to go to school to take the test and become Esthetician or is it possible to study and learn independently and then take the test?

Getting your bachelors is a huge accomplishment!! It isn’t necessary to have a Bachelors degree to be an Esthetician, however, anytime you can learn more and grow more the better it is for personal growth.

Hi lovely ladies! Nice vedio!I am a registered doctor in my country and doing all the aesthetic procedures, including, but not limited to injections, lasers etc. I am moving to Florida with my husband within next 2 months. What is the prerequisite for me to get a job as an aesthetician? What courses do I need to go through for licence? Thanks in advance for your valuable opinion.
I am not sure how that works as far as your license transferring! Call your local school for esthetics and see if they can assist you! If anything it’s a very short and sweet course . You already know your stuff so it will be a piece of cake to get a piece of paper. Let us know how you do! Welcome to Florida. 🥰
i think it depends on your area, maybe call medspas - salons and ask around. i’ve never heard of an online course. i think hands on is best but that’s just me. -Lizzie
