Love how Apollo is with Rocky 3000% as he’s punching with Rocky as he’s throwing combos, totally hyper invested showing how much he wants his boy to win. We all need coaches like this. Rocky is a great fighter and Apollo taught him how to box.
Even Lang's trainer was telling him to stop wasting his energy with frequent hard punches. The problem is that's all Lang knows. At the end of the day, Lang is nothing but a loaded shotgun with finite shells. Once those shells run out, he's a sitting duck.
Rocky’s victory over Clubber Lang in this is such a perfect example of how heart and strategy can overcome brute force. It’s not just about strength, it’s about adapting, learning, and outsmarting your opponent. The way Rocky transformed his entire approach by training with Apollo shows that even the greatest champions need to evolve to stay on top. This fight wasn’t just about boxing; it was about redemption, resilience, and proving that discipline and perseverance can win the day. this scene is an absolute classic🙏🏾
After those two knockdowns, Rocky could tell from the change in Tempo and frequency that Lang was getting weaker and tired from his punches. Rocky realized that he had taken Lang's best punches, and was still full of heart and fire. He knew then that wasn't a coward or a fraud like he feared he'd become.
Rocky forgets Apollo’s training and never fights this style ever again in the franchise 😂 Granted, drago fight was a revenge match, no holds barred. And he was completely drunk when he fought Tommy Gunn in the street. But damn, they should’ve given this style more camera time
@@armandoquiros7093 he had to be sharp in training 😂 Apollo creed was standing nearby, and Adrian had a taste for chocolate 😂 you saw how she buckled when Clubber lang invited her pretty little self to his apartment. 😎
Rocky V he was retired, Rocky Balboa he was fighting a much faster boxer and he was much older. As for Drago, Drago killed Creed who was faster than he was.
The change I would have made to Rocky III is to get rid or make a lot shorter than stupid fight with hulk hogan and add a few rounds to the final fight, get closer to that 8 round limit apollo mentioned.
Oh Man, if I could ever make a comeback like this, it would erase every fuckup in My Life and I could die a happy and proud Man. Nothing like facing your greatest fear and kicking its fucking ass from pillar to post. That to me is what this movie is about. It’s about realizing that we are capable of so much more than we know and when we are faced with a situation (or an opponent) stronger than us, we have two choices. Quit or fight.
At 6:22 Stallone baits T into really hitting him. The shot is awkward and not choreographed. Stallone is known to do this for realism. Watch Mr. T start talking after Stallone says "My mother hits harder than that". There was nothing in the script. Stallone got him really angry for realism.
@@mrmusickhimself They ADR dub alot of sound in(like the bomb like sound of the punches) so Stallone is known to say all kinds of shit and throw REAL punches to get other actor angry for realism. In Rocky 2 at end of second round, the one where Sly says "Im standin here" Carl Weather gets REALLY angry. Sly throws some real punches to piss off actor. Big difference between fights 1 & 2. The first Rocky’s slugging away hoping for a quick knockout this time he strikes first but with footwork and quicker jabs
Clubbers weakness was his hatred for balboa. It kept making him wanna go after balboa for no strategic reason That bit him in his ass real hard. He left no space for a real strategic fight

Even theoretically thats doubtful. Clubber was hitting hard af, but he couldn't take them and had virtually no cardio. Got winded and wore down in 3 rounds. Drago went 15 rounds taking punishment and still throwing bombs. Drago woulda clapped them cheeks 😂
