The rocky movies is the one movie that makes me cry. The determination, the pain, and coming from nothing. The soundtrack and story line is just amazing. I have watched this from the age of 5 and I never get sick of it. It’s the one movie that lifts me up from whatever I’m going through. Makes me want to get off my ass. The soundtrack makes everything magnified and better.
@Ian Gopinath, FACTS!!! Rocky movies are among the best movies of all time! They are absolutely the most INSPIRATIONAL movies of all time and they are timeless!
The wonder of this scene is when Rocky was doing his training montage at PH at the first movie no one believed in him and he proved that he went the distance during the match with Apollo. In this movie people see hope in him and decide to show their support. This proves that anything is possible and its up to you to decide your own fate.
The deepest part for me is Mick’s reaction to Adrian when she said, “win”. Mick knew that Rocky’s heart was all in his love for his wife. He would die for her and bring her the world, no matter how impossible it may seem. Mick knew that Rocky will give 210% even though there’s only a few days left towards the fight. Rocky had a dynamic WHY, TO WIN FOR ADRIAN. If we all know our WHY, WE WILL WIN in whatever we do. At the end, you’ll say like Rocky, “ADRIAN, I DID IT”. Did what? I WON FOR YOU.
That's not true there was still 7 weeks to go to the fight his wife was in a coma for a few days, you can't go 15 rounds on just love for your wife,s till a beautiful post though but not in the length of time you say,tge yo Adrian bit though at the end, beautiful
I know Mick gets a lot of justified love but I need to throw some respect towards Johnny. He was right there with them the whole time and also worked his ass off to help Rocky get that championship. Big ups to you Johnny.
Commander Shepard No, it was only Tony coaching, conditioning, and punishing. Paulie helping out and ultimately it was Rocky alone. At that point in his boxing career and in his life. Losing his best friend, a man who he truly admired, respected and loved. Preparing to fight the man who killed his brother, right in front of him. Rocky didn’t need or want anyone around. Which is why he went to not only Russia to train. Why he didn’t even spar with anyone. He knew what was inside of him and when that man stood in front of him. No matter how much bigger he was, or stronger. Or the fact that he had a daily dose of the best performance enhancing drugs. An entire country hating him, not to mention his own woman telling him, “You Can’t Win!” He knew that he would unleash Pure Hell upon that man. Even if it meant him dying in the attempt. That’s Rocky IV(4)
Because the whole movie basically builds up to this moment. So, after watching everything Rocky goes through, and all the emotions already felt you’d have to be emotionally dead to not have some kind of emotion swell up when Adrian says win. Then it just makes everything else that followed that much more powerful. A Rocky movie is an experience. Their all their own experience while at the same time being the same experience in the best way. Mainly cause while the story may change different opponents show up, the core of what makes Rocky, Rocky is consistent through the films.
Adrian has such a mesmerizing influence on Rocky, from the "win" in Rocky 2 to fight at beach in Rocky 3 and being in the stands while seeing Rocky beatin' up by Drago in Rocky 4 and when she tells rocky that his family is breaking in Rocky 5 on the street. She is really a force behind this character.
The year is 2020 many have tried and failed, but no one has ever made a film about fighters the way Big Sly done 40 years ago, no CGI, no bullshit just pure art
Because Rocky is a one of a kind film. It can’t be copied. It can’t be imitated. It can’t be recreated. You want the experience Rocky gave you? You gotta watch a Rocky film. But, we are a nation of immigrants. It’s more American than Football or Baseball. It may exist elsewhere. But, there’s something about it that calls out to America specifically. And maybe people say this about the sport in their country. Or something. But, no one else has made a Rocky. Not trying to push American superiority here. That’s not the point. Either way if people get mad or bring the hate. It’s whatever.

I’m a bit more partial to Boxing than mma. But, mma is good. Boxing really is the poor man’s or every man’s sport. Looking at the different training methods people have come up with when they didn’t have access to a gym or nice equipment, is an interesting area of boxing history to study. Rocky touches on this. Like Rocky Marciano made his own weights I read. And gyms used to be behind bars and random places.
1:43 is one of my favourite scenes ever. It encapsulates Rocky so well. It shows that his brute strength is not his greatest weapon, but instead his unstoppable determination in moments of difficulty. “It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” The music is also perfectly composed for this moment. What a moment and what a franchise.
I wanna create an event where Mike Tyson is standing alone in the ring. When the bell rings, hundreds of kids start running and climb into the ring from all directions and Mike Tyson just clobbers each and every kid one by one. He breaks their faces, punches them causing their jaws to rip off, uppercuts them so hard they fly out of the ring, even the fat kids get punched so hard in the gut it causes a shockwave. The best part is that the audience are all the kid's parents seeing their little punk kids getting their faces blasted inside out. At the end Mike Tyson yells out to the parents "Hey"Give me your other kids right now! Send them in fools!"

The Rocky franchise is Sylvester Stallone's biggest accomplishment and greatest gift to all of us. The story transcends boxing and can relate to all of us!

That part @2:40 with Rocky hitting the speed bag. The way Mick says speed, puts more into it after each time saying it. Rocky going faster and faster all while with the climax of the music, that bell. That part gives me goosebumps every single time. They couldn't have ended that training montage any better. Rocky finishing that part with that last hit as the song ended. TOTAL HYPEEEEE.
Is it possible that I’ve watched this scene more then 50 times and every time Adrian says Win and the music starts I get goosebumps, Rocky and Adrian are the best couple in movie history
The way Talia Shire looks at him when she delivers those lines, and what the scene means to both of them, and how it plays out? That's what I daydream about. Finding a girl that will look at me like that one day, and inspire me. And then with the montage and the music? Goddamn, I've love this part.
@@kennywohl2818 I wondered about that myself, but there's an unspoken moment in that scene where Adrian puts aside her concerns for Rocky's well being. She knows how much the championship means to him, and she stands by her man no matter what!

I was born in 76, Rocky was one of my dads favorites and became one of our favorites to watch together. growing up with the movies 1-4, I can always watch them over-&-over and still get excited/emotional during the training and even though I know how the fights end I'm still on the edge of my seat. Idk the Rocky 4 one is pretty epic
Rocky II probably had the best training montage. It’s just so classic.

Im set to do that when my workout equipment gets here
The average man can't do this. I workout and what he doing. Is a workout.
True. Find myself yelling Creed! in my garage trying to finish a tough set
The Rocky franchise is Sylvester Stallone's biggest accomplishment and greatest gift to all of us. The story transcends boxing and can relate to all of us!
Ehh no.Rocky stops being relatable after rocky 2.And Adonis while an interesting character never became relatable.Viktor Drago, that's the most relatable character in the series.Offcourse that's when it comes to me,but still not ALL of us.
@@utoresa5193 rocky 3 and 4 all the way for me. I dont care if it is unimaginable, Stallone still killed himself to transform into what he was Roids or not. I was 14 when I watched rocky 4 and it inspired me.
@@utoresa5193 Rocky VI still relatable, also a bit of Rocky V (even if that movie it's the worst in the franchise, still is urban cinema like the first two).
For me, the series went downhill with 4 and 5, and then ended perfectly with Rocky Balboa.
Maybe the first two, but after that it descends into comic book territory.
This makes me cry, one of the best films ever!
Brings tears to my eyes. I remember watching this as a kid crying thinking ima be a boxer when i grow up
How could you not be motivated when your supportive wife, newborn son and tough as nails trainer are all pushing you to the limit. Just goes to show no one makes it alone. Fucking awesome
0:08
This is my favorite scene. All he needed was his wife to support him. By telling him to win, she unleashed the beast!
My dream women. If women only knew how much they could muster out of a man if they were supportive. I'd beat Musk to Mars if I had a women I was in love with, that told me "There is something you can do for me. Beat Musk to Mars!"
Little did she probably know....her words meant A LOT to him!
@Zesanactor Over-5 Depends on the woman. Sadly a lot of men go for the shallow slut rather than the supportive and good wife. Then again good women are getting increasingly uncommon these days and they're usually all taken.
true
Thesw hoes dont want us to win now
That look on his face when she says win: True bliss!
When he pushes that last set up screaming “Creed!” Man that motivates me to no end
I love the way the people are backmg up Rocky as he runs through the city. I saw the original Rocky in 1976 and remember where I saw it and with whom.....so very memorable. The first two movies were the best. Rocky is a true love story.

The best training scene out of all of the Rocky franchise!!!
Unique79 i think 3rd training is the best...but this has the best run...
And the purists, the best city skyline shot before all of the building that occurred in the mid-80s on.
Unique79 Hands down. None of the others come close.
the fourth is the most motivating
I think 3. Rocky totally doubted himself and Apollo helped him find himself again along with Adrian.
Is it possible that I’ve watched this scene more then 50 times and every time Adrian says Win and the music starts I get goosebumps, Rocky and Adrian are the best couple in movie history
The training and the motivation can inspire anyone to higher accomplishments, ty rocky
The way Talia Shire looks at him when she delivers those lines, and what the scene means to both of them, and how it plays out? That's what I daydream about. Finding a girl that will look at me like that one day, and inspire me. And then with the montage and the music? Goddamn, I've love this part.
U rock man
it's funny through out the intiere movie she begs him not to go through with the fight know she wants him to win
Yes man there's no better motivation my best part of the movie cuz I always feel it genuinely...Then when he wins and says he did it is fucking great
@@kennywohl2818 I wondered about that myself, but there's an unspoken moment in that scene where Adrian puts aside her concerns for Rocky's well being. She knows how much the championship means to him, and she stands by her man no matter what!
that’s impossible to find
The best motivational music in the world
Since Adrien's Word: win. This is the most motivating scene in entire history od film! Sylwester Stallone is a greatest Hollywood person. From zero to hero!
I love the way he slams the jump rope down like 'I have this'.
The best training montage in movie history. Still my favorite of the Rocky movies.
CREED! CREED! CREEEEEED!
God it’s so sick how he lifts that last rep. Hungry for that belt
That's what it takes to be great, pushing through the pain barrier.
I was born in 76, Rocky was one of my dads favorites and became one of our favorites to watch together. growing up with the movies 1-4, I can always watch them over-&-over and still get excited/emotional during the training and even though I know how the fights end I'm still on the edge of my seat. How many of you still watch intently at the screen during the fight in Rocky to pinpoint the exact moment he hooks Apollo and puts him on the mat having seen it a-million times?
"Well what are we waiting for?" I love that
this makes me want to get up in the morning at 6am
