Shooter from the United States here. The Taipan seems like a really fun gun. I do not make it my business to comment on other countries gun laws. So forgive me if suppressors are not allowed. But that looks like an ideal rifle in 300 Blackout with a can. Shooting subsonic s with a good 30 cal. can would make it whisper quiet and still have plenty of thump out to 150-200 yards. And with supers out to 400-500. Or even 350 or 400 Legend. Anyway, great vid! Gonna give you a like and share on X young man!
Shy of a suppressor, about the only thing that rifle could use is a decent blast deflector like the Breek Arms Castle Blast. It sends the concussion downrange and cuts recoil a bit. Much nicer for the shooter and those around them. Dang RUclips/Google hate legal gun owners. It is criminal that this video only has a couple hundred views. Production value is excellent. I just shared it again to pump up the numbers. Try tagging/Titles/Descriptions all the accessories. Like your scope, Magpul magazine, Bipod etc.. It helps with the algorithm.
A version of this in a long action or magnum cartridge using AICS mags would be absolutely EPIC and I think would sell really well many places (including here in the states). That pump action / straight pull combo is genius! If the accuracy is comparable to bolt action hunting rifles then I think this would be superior for dangerous game applications than the traditional turnbolt or doublegun.
Very cool for manual rifle competitions, even if your country/state has cool gun laws. However, it absolutely needs a pump lock mechanism. If you pull the rifle into your shoulder with the pump grip, you will accudentally pull it out of battery. It needs to stay locked until the trigger was pulled.
🇦🇺😎👍Hey mate I used the first generation rifle and I was impressed . However I notice the finish on the rifle did mark / scratch easy. .Don’t know if they fixed all the issues on the gen 1 but if they did I’d be interested in getting the gen 2 ..Great video🏁
Hey trev, I watched a review on that. That's why they apparently introduced the round deflector. Apparently when rounds were ejecting it was hitting the body
@@spankau 🇦🇺😎👍Yep , but the rest of the chassis can scratch pretty easy as well . I have a feeling they are addressing it. Great gun though. I’d have one
Any chance you could review it from a bench rest side of things haven’t seen an one try shoot this thing for groups yet as a review. Been following the rifle alot an from what I’ve read if someone did a bench rest review might persuade a few more to buy this rifle
I have a question as a Victorian. I have my Cat A/B license and I've seen some lads with a +5 extended mag that goes on the stock 10 round mag you get with the rifle, is that allowed cuz i really do like the look it gives to the stock mag?
The Taipan X is NOT chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor... .223 Wylde (.223Rem/5.56) and .300BLK ONLY. And I've also pulled you up on this before as well, the WFA-1 IS spring assisted. Stop saying it isn't. Also, as someone pointed out below, the MPR-Mini is NOT an extra $2k, it is $1k more... Come on mate, get your information correct.
@@precisionrifle1 I didn't mean to be rude, mate, but reviews do need to be accurate. You've got a nice setup, still enjoying it? I do love mine. How far out have you taken it now? You mentioned trying to stretch its legs?

Will have a review posted in the next couple of weeks, stay tuned!
@@precisionrifle1 Awesome stuff!!!! Thanks heaps man!
What length is the barrel on this one
16.5
What height rings did you need for the scope? I've been told they need to be kinda high, but haven't actually had a good look yet
I’m pretty sure they are medium rings. It’s a small objective lens on the scope and it’s a straight 0 MOA Pic rail the entire length

Hello, what is the quickest and most effective way to clean the rifle before and after use? Thanks

6lb trigger pull OMG, why so heavy !
Not uncommon on a hunting rifle

can you change the buttstock or nah?
There are aftermarket adaptors available, there’s a Taipan group on FB that has them in there
Is it classed as a pump or bolt action?
pump
It's a straight pull with slide assist not a pump
