- The benchmark for optical quality in tactical rifle scopes has long been the Schmidt & Bender PM II. It wasn’t a hard choice for me choosing what optic to buy for my Sako TRG for long distance shooting. The repeatable easy to use turrets, alpha tier glass and simple reticles have been a draw card not only for me but for tactical and military units around the world. The 5-25×56 variant in particular has become a go to choice for many competitive shooters also looking for exceptional build quality and performance.

Still my first choice for a high quality optic. In a world becoming drown out by nightforce and leupold, never forget what the benchmark has been for decades
They make great stuff
but leupold was the first choice for military for a long time . and now they change to smith and bender . so what you saying dont work
Do you have thoughts on the gr2id reticle vs the msr2? Everyone seems to say you must have a christmas tree reticle but the msr2 has lots of popularity
I love the MSR2, it’s my favourite reticle as it has basic holdover capability, some neat ranging and you can see a lot. The GR2ID is awesome and gives epic holdover capabilities but it’s a very crowded reticle. The new TR2ID is a trimmed down version and will suit a lot of shooters.
What made you decide to use 0 mil 0 moa scope mount? Thanks for the video
The TRG has a 20MOA pic rail so didn’t need anymore extra
@@precisionrifle1 thank you
@@Sheeb4thewin no problem!
Hey, what height Spuhr mount are you running?
Spuhr SP-4002 FDE Ø34 H38mm 0Mil PIC is the one I ordered
How would you compare the PMII to a NF ATACR?
Both great optics, there is a larger price on the PMII and I personally think it’s because of the higher glass quality.
This compared to a Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56 (35mm)? Cant decide on which scope for my HKMR762A1
Personally I prefer the S&B
@@precisionrifle1 What about the vortex Gen 3 6-36x56? Its 2200 atm and the SB is 4200
@@Arleys617 Having used both, the S&B is a lot higher quality than the Gen III, turrets, glass, fit and finish are all better
Not even close.
Nice optic
I’ve only ever ran Swarovski optics on all my rifles but never had a target rifle so not sure what there target scopes are like
The Swaro X5i is more target focused but haven’t had an in depth look at it in person
@@precisionrifle1 I’d love to see a review if you get the opportunity and compare it to other options.
What type of scope mount do you have on your Schmidt Bender?
Have a Spuhr mount 👍
BRAND : SPUHR
MODEL : ISMS (Ideal Scope Mount System)…
DIAMETER = 34 mm
HEIGHT = 30 mm, maybe more
ANGLE = maybe 13 mRad
Does it have an integrated bubble level and compass?
The scope rings have a bubble level
@@precisionrifle1 what about a compass?
@@KD0AFK33 nope, you would need to get one as an addition
