As always, the wowness factor of a purchased collection depends on the price paid. Without that information it's impossible to say how well Jim did.

    ......isn't that the Gold Key Phantom #1? .(9.57). Isn't it worth $75+?

Yes it is. Nice pickup. Those gold keys without numbers on the cover. I’ll have to closely check the condition. Mid grade seems to sell for over $100.

Not only are they interesting comics but they may well have been blessed too (it never hurts to have extra cover).
The Living Eraser is one of those Silver Age villains whose power sounds great and looks good in the art but makes little if any sense.
"Not Brand Echh": from the era when Marvel could laugh at itself and understood the meaning of "fun", an era now lost in the mists of time.
Ah, but it's not the rare Australian edition of "The Life Of Pope John Paul II". When he visited Sydney in 1986, the Catholic Church here in Australia had a new printing done of this comic (or ordered a new printing from Marvel) with Spidey's face in the bottom left box replaced by the Papal keys in gold on a white background. The comics were I believe distributed free to students in Catholic schools and possibly sold to parishioners in the days leading up to the visit. It's a very niche collectable within the hobby but I'm very proud of my copy.
I don't think the firing of someone I've never heard of has harmed FF #19 at all Jim, it's still early FF when the title hadn't even seen 20 issues and therefore is very desirable and valuable.

The Spider-Man reprints were an insert for the New York Daily News...or was it the New York Post. One of the two.

I know that for some reason you don't ever talk about costs of books and collections but as a viewer it is definitely a little bit frustrating. It would be nice to at least have some kind of ballpark. Or maybe you could do a vid on how you approach pricing and purchasing a collection. Otherwise the vids tend to fell like just "Look what I got" and they blur together. Just my two cents.

    Hi Jim,
as always the best comes last.
Two nice books on the end of this box that will hopefully cover your costs.
A shame that there were so much coverless books.
Besides golden age comics, is there a market for coverless books, anyway?

I always found it interesting when they reprinted GI Joe #2....from memory collectors missed out on No. 2 and the reprint was big success at shop I owned....sold all we could pickup...used to have TTA giant man first issue in a frame on my wall in 1970s...good memories...cant see a priest buying Witching Hour comics :-)

Once again, you completely amaze me with the pickup!! It's been decades since I found anything of real value or if I did, the quality was so poor it was a moot point!! Seems like you find a new one once a week 😅😊😅😅!!

Comics from a priest? Now I've seen it all! Got some good Silver and Bronze Age Marvel in decent condition, some 1st issues there, Death of Superman, 1st prints, some cool DC war comics. Some STERANKO Strange Tales issues. And the last two Marvel Silver Age gems are gold. For a totally random haul, I don't think you did badly at all.
