    Super Telecasters: yay or nay?

Yay but let's make clear what is a supertelecaster (to disagree that is an upgraded tele). Supertelecaster i think is with at least humbucker muscled up telecaster. Would you be able to call the Fender a supertele if played live with a band? I'm not sure if i could hear the difference with a normal tele.

When I think of Super Tele, I think of Lari Basilio's Ibanez LB1, and it's a very modern take of what a T-style guitar could be. HSS, with Tele style Neck pickup, and also on the middle but with open top pickup cover. Full floating, non-locking bridge, compound radius of 9" to 12"/228mm to 305mm and stainless steel frets. And also has the Dyna-Mix switching system, that was introduced with the AZ series, which makes it super versatile.

I'm not a tele fan but I am a fan of your ability to get so many distinct tones out of similar guitars. The Schecter was the surprise of the bunch, you went from country to metal! You're proof that tone is in the fingers!

Good effort. Still Fender looks overpriced (perhaps it should be but not really a supertele except the price) and not that striking because i think under live circumstances if you played a vintera i don't know if you could be able to tell the difference. The Charvel was the most satisfying as far as sound quality is concerned. When i read superteles and i saw the fender i thought that's a clickbait and about to change channel but you got saved by the description box

I thought super teles had tremolos (usually Floyd's) and hot pups.

@@TheGuitalian That's definitely what I think of when I hear the term super tele.
