Thank you very much. It was much easier following your instructions than trying to interpret the booklet. 😊
Great to hear, thanks!
Saviour. Have a great life for helping others.
Glad that you got some value out of this video!
Great ! Thanks for the video!!! Helped me get it all put together this morning…still not sure where the battery goes that was in my baby q 1200…. Not even in the instructions…lol.
Lamb chops tonight! Woo hoo
Used you video to put the baby Q back in the way it came... I USED It a few times the food came out really nice. A few weeks later I saw a notice on the wall which states that residents are not allowed to use barbecues on their balconies..I was crushed because I really did enjoy it. I made use of this video by putting it back exactly the way it came. very useful, thank you. For those that do want to buy this..trust me ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Every building says that, worst thing that can happen IF CAUGHT, is a reminder/soft warning
Thank you ! Much more useful then the instructions
I agree, a video makes it easy!
I am confused, the box that my stand came in states that it is for Weber Q series 1000 & 2000 grill. That is the same labeling that is on your box. However, the drip tray that you snapped in at approx. 9:27 of your video is no where to be found among my assembly part items. Also, there is no gas tank holder apparatus in my box either.
Do you think I got a box with missing items or is there another reason for this? Thanks.
I'm not going to be much help, but there are only really 2 options:
1) They are missing pieces from your box. But I would guess that there should be a manual that came along with it that lists all of the parts that should be in the box.
2) It's a slightly different model that you have.
This video is 4 years old now, and the stand was bought in Australia. So maybe some things have changed.
Based on the interest in this video after so many years I guess these things were more of a pain in the ass to put together than I realised!
The good news is that it my Q1000 has been fantastic to use, and I still use it every few days. So it's worth the pain. Best of luck.
Nice video, mine did not come with the metal plate you install1st and also the tank holder. Mine was the model 6557.
Real detailed info is much better than the drawing manual instructions.
Agree with you. No matter how good the drawings are, seeing a video tutorial makes it much easier.
where did you get the tank holder
What you see here all came with it in the box. Based on some other recent comments on this video it seems that there might be a new model out now which doesn't come with it.
It’s been 4 years since you posted this video , I was wondering if you are still using this grill and if you still like it 😄
It's been fantastic. Still use it at least once or twice every week. Eventually when it dies I will replace it with one of the slightly larger Weber Q models.
@@HobbyWild yes I have Weber Q220 i love it. I have had it for around 15 years so it may take a while for yours to die.😁
Velcro strap holds lid on bbq shut when you fold cart for moving.
That makes complete sense. I never would have guessed it! Thanks very much 😀👍
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you. The instructions that came with this cart was absolutely terrible. This helped..
Glad that you found this useful!
Hi there. I just purchased a Q2200 (Cart include). It was a great combo deal @ Costco. I like the gas tank "holder " which mine does not have. Can buy the piece? (Amazon or Weber)
I have no idea, sorry.
@ Israel I just bought the same one from Costco. Let me know if you find the tank holder.
For now it just sits below the grill.
Going out to the garage today to put my Weber Q-1000 bbq together. Thanks so much for this video. Did you finally find out what the strap was for?
I had completely forgotten about the strap! My best guess is that it may be used to pull it along if you need to move it, but I haven't needed to use it 😀👍
When I unboxed my Weber bbq, I found that I had the Q-2200 model. For some reason, the separate base didn't come with the tank holder @@HobbyWild. Great bbq though. Looking forward to firing that puppy up.
12.30 14. 01.2024 thanks for showing me the best option that will suit my 2200 which I bought 2nd hand only to find out the portable cart it was on is broken. I should have watched this sooner 😅
Glad that you found it of value! Best of luck with your Q2200.
Thank you for a great review. What is the part number for the cart, and what is the country you purchased it in? The version sold in the US does not have the little shelf for a portable gas tank underneath it.
Purchased in Australia. Part #6579
Here is a link on the Weber (Australia) site: www.weber.com/AU/en/accessories/merchandise-and-more/carts/weber-q-portable-cart-q1000-q2000-series/6579.html
Please help, I can’t seem to get the pin into the wheel
The strap is to loop around the lid handle when the trolley is collapsed and you move the BBQ
Thanks! I would never have guessed that 😎👍
The black strap loops around the 20# tank.
I’m assembling mine now, thank you so much! Never would have figured it out
How to assemble the cart
Not sure how you missed it? The cart assembly starts at the 7:00min mark.
Where do I put the drip tray ? also I got given a battery in my box too, do you know what that’s for ?
The drip tray slides in from the side, from memory it slides in from the left hand side only. A battery in the box?! haha no idea about that one unless you have bought some fancy accessories! 😀👍
That battery should be for the ignition starter
I’m really appreciate you
Thank you for your appreciation!
This video addresses the grill assemble. The question is how to assemble the cart
Not sure how you missed it? The cart assembly starts at the 7:00min mark.
Assembling as I watch your instruction. Horror upon horror 😱, we have 🌞in the U.K. 😆.
It wasn't intended as a guide to follow-along to, but hope that it has worked out for you. Sun in the UK? Now I KNOW that you aren't be serious!
Enjoy the Weber!
@@HobbyWild I know it wasn’t ,but it worked 😬. Two more days of full sun , not only that Bank holiday 🌞😆😆. Thank you.
So there is no grease-catch tray unless you get the cart? Sounds odd. Also Weber doesn't protect the burners from drippings so that might be a cleaning issue. So many brands i get confused.
Also, i don't known what the second wiring contraption is for.
The cart lacks a side shelf so seems not too valuable.
Attaching the tank would complete the picture. I was under the impression that you could attach a small bottle of propane.
No, the "grease-catch tray" slots in on the left hand side into the rails/slots built into the legs of the BBQ, rather than relying on the stand.
The cart is only really for getting the BBQ off the ground and making it easy to wheel around, and it does this job perfectly, I love it as I need to wheel mine out away from the house when I cook. But, if you plan on keeping the BBQ in the one spot on a permanent bench/table or similar, then there is no need for the cart.
You can definitely attach a bottle to the cart, it is what I do, the thumbnail of this video shows it.
I am buying one but it seems the cart U.S. version doesn't have the handy tank platform plus ours (in U.S. for unknown reasons) are configured to run on small disposable tanks not the big ones.
There were places where better light would have been super helpful in order to see exactly what you were doing; mostly because of the black frame on the grill stand making it difficult to see. Otherwise helpful and thank you.
Still can’t get any reception!! 🤔
