You'll probably notice the effect more after the processor finishes the adaption from the modification. I noticed you get a good part of the results right away from each mod if you do them all in sequence. On the 2010 Cayman S I have, 1st was Remus Race cat back system, 2nd 200 cell Fabspeed cat headers, 3rd a K&N air filter, Then 4th I removed the air impact plate from the intake grill area, then 5th I installed an IPD competition plenum with the GT3 throttle body and all of it made some positive difference. I'm about to do the COBB access port install. Nice build you're doing with the GTS 👍.
Very nice performance mods you got there. When you say processor I'm assuming ECU? Still have a few things to do...Intercooler, diverter valve and tune
@@lsturbointeg Correct DME, ECU, Electronic Brain. I've also got to install the center radiator that came with the PDK equipped cars. Do they make the deep aluminum PDK sump for your GTS?
@@lsturbointeg There's a PDK rebuilder located in Georgia and they make the aluminum sump I mentioned and more. If you are a PCA member you may be able to find the RUclips video on the business.
Would love to see a before and after dyno, because +38whp and +45wtq on a stock engine and turbo seems wild. I'd expect it to help it spool quicker and adjust the torque curve favorably based on that reduced restriction, but commanded boost level based on torque desired which is how these cars work means it wouldn't increase total boost and thus no more air or more fuel so no more power.
Ya that would be wild but unlikely. 😆 I can tell you the solid number RaggDolls clients have been seeing is 5-7% wheel hp. And if you follow the 718 forum the guy says the Dyno reads a bit off so it’s a lot to get into on a RUclips message but he gained about 33hp and 39 tq which is still amazing on his APR tuned car (it wasnt stock) If you held the stock inlet and Raggdoll’s inlet in your hand and knew that the turbo needs the air RaggDolls flows but is only getting what’s going threw that straw of a stock inlet you would be like 💡 got it!! On an accurate Dyno run with her car in Dyno mode RaggDoll car aka Farrah gained 40hp wheel with the big RMS Six-66 turbo instantly. By the time we retuned for it (wasnt needed but she got even more power.) Let’s just say it’s a huge component to how she got to over 600 wheel on a stock block with the big RaggDoll Six-66 turbo and her fuel System.
Really like your videos! Some feedback, I think the background music is a bit too loud during action shots. I need to turn down my speaker volume every time the music starts playing then back up for your voice.
Thanks for watching! The volume is set at zero when I make them. Not sure why it would be loud lol! But I appreciate it. I'll try bringing it down a bit👍👍
Thanks for watching! I'm actually gonna make another video when I get my seats back but I'm going to hookup a separate mic to capture the sound. Install honestly I'm not sure because I have to record video so it slows me down but if I were to guess...2 hrs? Maybe less
No, I think with the limited space I was working with. It wouldn't hurt to try. I just used my finger to guage .75-1" before i felt the ripple on the intake.
How were you able to bolt the top of the inlet since from what I see in the video is just two pipe within each other which of course is not sealed and will cause leaks?
Seems like it can be a great mod… but $700 for an elbow that requires cutting up the stock pipe is a really steep no matter how it’s spun. Even companies like APR put out similar elbows for other cars and price them only at $1-200…. Plus they are properly engineered and r&d’d I can’t get behind these “boutique” companies charging P-car tax…. Worth it for $200 at most I’ll rather wait til a proven company like APR comes out with something
Hello I’m Raggdoll’s husband I’ll tell you your right in one aspect if we were like apr and were making literally 1,000 to 5,000 of them at a time as they do for Audi’s, VW and bmw’s 💯 the price would be lower. Nobody makes this part and we patented world wide so hopefully we keep it that way. But we have well over $14,000 in development cost in just this one part RaggDoll and I have built for her car and two years of R&D. What seems like such a simple solution nobody did for 7 years. There were a lot of different ways to do this and we tried many. Not sure if you know what it cost to make just the one inlet flange here in the states and only 10 or so at a time but let’s just say the first run we lost money on each sale and that was on top of the $14k we already had in development. The great thing is we can’t make them fast enough and most people get it. Liza is just a girl that loves the 718 platform and went and put a lot of her time and money making this stuff available for those who want it. She did not need to do that nobody else has. The new ones are cnc machined on both ends and honestly quite amazing looking. We have offered the original buyers to trade and they love the fact they have something Liza was so much apart of building herself. RaggDoll (Liza) literally ran the lathes, helped build the jig actually came up with the idea of “couldn’t we just cut it instead of spending 7 hours pulling the turbo” 😂 she did all running round town to each place.. after she built them, she has to take them to one place to be coated then to another to be laser etched etc. This is 💯 RaggDolls product and vision. The whole process is tedious and takes a long time she out a crud load of her own savings building what she has so far. Her following show her nothing but love and appreciation for what it’s taken to make this available and do all she has for this platform. Prices will go down though in time but those who buy now are the ones that are helping her do great things for everyone that owns a 718. Also those inlets on APR were once $5-$600 you know that right? The apr kit for the 9YA Cayenne turbo was like $1,500 a year ago it’s now like $549.00 Hopefully I explained this in a way that makes sense and we appreciate the question because it’s a valid one. But this simple mod gives you 5-7% proven increases over your current power to the wheels. RaggDoll got 40 wheel with hers and her big RMS Six-66 turbocharger and Apr tuned guys are seeing over 30 wheel. Is 30 plus hp worth $600-$700 yes of course it is. In short like anything there is development cost that has to be recuperated and in time our cost go down and selling price goes down, it’s not a huge platform so things will always be a bit more though. She has $100,000 in R$D basically all her savings in the rest of her products non of which has come back yet. RaggDoll is not APR she’s just a normal person with 20 years experience in stuff like this by my side trying to do great things for the 718 platform so hopefully you are like I get it and you order one. She works hard at this we were up until 3am last night while she was making runs testing one of her new products. 🏎️ then she got up at 7am to run our hi-line euro repair shop. She’s a beast!! 💪🏼
@@vincecascio4194Vince, thank you for the reply man.. I really do appreciate the time and effort! And I’m not discounting Liza’s hard work and all the R&d put into this platform.. have read through the forum posts as well and definitely thankful for someone passionately helping the community. The 718 platform has been out for 8 years….there are tons of 718s out there with a huge market of folks running these cars on the street, track, and even daily driving (myself included). My comment and stance on pricing is mostly based on the fact that such a higher rate also causes many buyers to shy away, thus cutting your volume and potential profit even further. Higher volume = better pricing for buyers, more profit for RMS… seems like a WIN WIN
Hey! As of right now modified PSE exhaust from Porsche Mod Squad (basically straight pipe) , SOUL PERFORMANCE 200 cel DP (I'll be swapping with SOUL test pipe), SOUL X-Pipe, BMC Filter and now RMS turbo inlet pipe. Tune getting done this Spring most likely APR and RMS Intercooler on the way 👍
Hello I’m Raggdoll’s husband. This was not an issue with any of the first run or the final production. It was about 1/8 inch clearance on the first run and the final production clears quite a bit. Gene was excited as were we for the video so we made him one since we were out of inlets. And we were using an engine that the turbo lines were off as a jig so we got a bit close with clearance without realizing this. No biggie the original plan was always send him the final version that’s on its way.
