      That’s just for the murder charge.
      Do not forget there are additional charges that the judge is going to impose during his sentencing.
      Telles is facing upwards to 1 to 20 years for the weapons charge and also for the additional counts.

      @@MartyWoodcocknot really. He knows what he did. He’s happy. His jail interview a day after this he said he was used to living there and might be there for 20-28 years but will still fight his innocence

      exactly - just because he's eligible doesn't mean he will get it. Look up the woman who was responsible for the Sharon Tate murders: she spent a long long long long long time in jail. He will have to admit his deed to even be considered.

      It all depends on how you perform at the parole hearing. I know in some state I am not sure which one it’s 15 to life. That’s pretty lucky IMMO.

      @@WarriorVinyard that was Jeff's job, he was still exposing layers and layers of unethical behavior, lies and hostile work environment. it wasn't just about the election. it was about the degrees of pathology playing out every day in that office setting. Many workers were traumatized, fearful. It should NOT have stopped just because election was over. it should have stopped when it was all exposed. that's what investigative reporters do.

    The question is…Can he survive 20 years in prison? Hmmm…I think his delicate demeanor might have some trouble adjusting to REAL prison life. He will be eligible at the age of 67, but the evidence will be the same and parole boards are not as nice as juries.

      Idk man this guy isn't some world class assassin or serial killer. He's just some narcissist jag off d-bag who lost his cool and deleted a guy and an older guy at that from a purely pragmatical standpoint. Dude will be in his late 60s by then and unless he actually apologizes and admits his wrongdoing I doubt he'll be out in 20 years anyway. The murder was brutal but almost every murder ends brutally

      he'll be turned down first time. also, the judge can add years at sentencing for possession of a deadly weapon.

      @@marilynh. He can potentially do the rest of his life in prison. Like @pse888 said he'll probably be turned down the first time, and as long as the victim's family has a say, he could be in there for life. However, you never know. He could walk free one day

      He still has formal sentencing and the judge can add more years for the two enhancements as the jury doesn't decide those. It could be increased to 40 years if the judge sees fit.

    Now if you get a public defender and just sit there you will get life no parole. You are just a sitting duck 🦆 at that point.
    I am not mad. Let’s blame the system. It’s based on how hard your lawyers fight and surprisingly I must say the jurors got to know him. As crazy as that sounds 😭🤯

    Plead not guilty to a crime he absolutely committed. Won’t own up to it, and will probably maintain his innocence throughout his sentence. I could understand life with possibility of parole if he plead guilty…but this doesn’t seem like justice to me.

    He will most likely will be out in 20 years or slightly under. He is like 42,43. Very lucky. I think his performance on the stage helped a lot. It was the most unusual thing I have ever seen.
    Also the pleading(s) of his Mother, wife and ex wife helped..

      Do you think he will ever admit guilt? He is not likely to get parole if he keeps denying it. The jury did not believe his claims of being framed, they believed he committed the crime. It's unlikely he will get parole if he keeps denying his crimes.
      Also, he is 47.

    Im kind of surprised, the sentence seems light. Life with the possibility of parole after twenty years. It was a premeditated murder, the victim was stabbed several times and the minimum is only 20 years.
