Holy Shit...I have been a fan of theirs since '79...have seen them 5 times in concert. They are still, hands down, the best live act I have ever seen. And still...I get goose bumps listening to Rickey sing the Blues. Damn they were good...so very good!
I remember this great group--used to see them play at the community center in stirling, and elsewhere in new jersey in the early 70's. They were my favorite group and saw them so many times and Ricky is a great guy.
I saw this tour in Nuremberg Germany, They opened for The Scorpions. They even played one song together. I had seen them once the same summer as well at an Open air .38 Special was there as well. They opened up and we were in the front against the stage. Medlocke was slapping our hands! I know, big deal, but I had fun!
OMG,no kidding! I am so sorry to hear about Thunderfoot! I didn't know! I heard about Charlie years ago and I was so sad to hear that,I have been a huge fan of Southern Rock since I was a little kid,but Blackfoot became my favorite after I got out of the Army and moved to Atlanta! I first heard of them just a week before the concert...I fell in love with their whole look and the sound...Oh shit! They can play and Ricky's voice is the ultimate! Is he your brother by blood? Thanks for answering!
OMG...I first saw them in '79 at the Omni in Atlanta!!! They opened for Ted Nugent (The Scorpions opened for Blackfoot!) and I had never heard of them! Hot Damn...they absolutely blew me away!!! They have by far...one of the hardest rocking best shows I have ever seen...I've seen hundreds of bands! Blackfoot will rock on forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing....No shit...what is your fondest memory!? That's killer!!! How have you been? I hope the last 30 years have been good to you!!! Ain't this the shit??? LOL
"You're tired of workin, feels like for nothing, why can't we all live for today? Friends of mine wanna by me a drink, so loaded now, hell, I can't even think..." Great band , great medley. Anybody know if this footage is available on DVD?
@basenjib123 BlackFoot Freakin Jams .... They Rocked Me Many Times & people Would Always say who is that??? i would be like Duh... Blackfoot Man...! Rock On...
They cant even have concerts in Sweden now. The world will not likely see times that good again, so save the video for the great great g kids to know what it was about when.
I can only imagine the stories you could tell...this band didn't get the recognition at home that they should have. No, we get stuck with fucking hair metal Bon Jovi crap instead......bah!
One of the highest energy live bands. Wish there was more footage available
Skynyrd on speed.
This is one under appreciated band, they will allways be one of the best kick ass R&R bands.
Rickey Medlocke. Thank you. You are amazing
Maybe the best of all the Southern rock bands. And that's saying a lot.
Saw them at Knebworth in 84 in an electric storm, what a great band, should have been bigger than they were.
Blackfoot: a truly fine band that never got the attention they deserved.
