Played Molly Hatchett while sailing on the John f Kennedy 1980-1983. One of my friend introduced me to this great band and I just rocked and we all just had our own party miss these guys
ANOTHER TOP NOTCH SOUTHERN ROCK BAND. OUR senior party in 1980 we had a band ( and 75 kegs of beer) they played this song, what a weekend that was. New York in the 1960s - 1980s was great. Isn't most of it written by 2 guys?
Was a gorgeous man..
Brings back such great memories of cruising my small hometown with my boyfriend. Molly Hatchet is one of the bands that make up the soundtrack of my teen years.
Saw them more times than I can remember. The first time being my senior class trip to King's Dominion in 1980. Bop, bop yeah.... Rest in peace Danny Joe Brown 🙏
Still to this Day One of My Favorite Bands, Seen them Live 35 Years Ago, Will Never Forget It
One of my favorite songs in the day and today.
I loved this song when I was a kid-still love it today!!
I loved those times. But glad i left in 1990, the state has really gone down hill .oh well at least I have the awesome memories.
Why do I feel like I need a 70s van now?
Cragers, shag carpet, side pipes, and air shocks.
And a big ol Viking mural on the side.
Add a star shaped tiny window in the back corner
Conversion vans. They were everywhere back then.
Had Flirtin with disaster painted on the hood
Mind blower speakers
Paisley bubble windows so dark they were useless. A fridge and a queen mattress
Bruce Crump - one of my favorite live drummers ever
not Bruce in this video. BB Borden
Yup - my bad.....still a good lineup
@@beatmastert BB is playing with Marshall Tucker now. BB is for his first and last name (Barry Bordon). His middle name is Steven, do not know which way he spells it. Was drummer for Mothers Finest before Hatchet, then Illusion, the Outlaws, now Marshall Tucker.
Them Arlington Boys sure could Rock!!
There will never be another band as great as Hatchet!!
New Year’s Eve 1994. I along with my uncle and another guy opened up a club in northeast Alabama. We had Molly Hatchet play. Danny Joe was in rehab and his 20 year old son took over for him. In a club that held 400 people that kid had them right in his hands. Did a great job and they all were 100% professional!
One of the greatest frontman. RIP my friend
this was probably at the Hollywood Sportatorium, it was a friggin no-air conditioning sweat box that all major acts performed at in the late 70s and early 80s...where I saw Molly Hatchet perform...
Molly Hatchet was my first live concert ever, in '81 or '82 at the Miami Marine Stadium with The Outlaws and Stanger as openers. Love these guys!
