I'm trying to improve my editing skills, so I can start doing some actual film making for my channel. This is going to help so much! You've easily been one of my favorite people on RUclips. Thank you, for being you!
my mind is completely blown. I just downloaded premiere Pro less than 3 weeks ago and have elevated my editing game to levels I never thought I would reach without an education. I am shocked by how thorough and instructional you are able to be with something that, for me at least, seemed impossible to grasp. I cast your videos to my sister in laws tv, pull up premiere and edited my nieces videos to a point that I am actually doing what I see in my head and it's nuts! Thank you so much for making this type of content, it is very much appreciated. Now I am going to go pick my jaw up off the ground...
Casey put the nail in that coffin with that latest Samsung video. Peter just has WAY better quality and more humility. "Always Learning" is a great mindset.
Peter you are a true mentor !! I am following your videos most of the times and thanks to you I am brushing up my skills on premiere pro. Cheers and stay blessed !!
I was always intimidated by Premiere and skipped over your videos that talked about video editing instead of photography. I just started using Premiere (Just made my first video using it) and love it, and it's a lot easier than I thought it was going to be...it's basically Photoshop for video. Watching all your Premiere videos now, you make learning fun and easy! Thanks!!
All I’ve done my life is admire other things I’ve seen and watching almost every single one of your videos, I will no longer procrastinate but go out and make the things that I admire. Drone shots, cinematography. Is just amazing. It doesn’t even have to be for RUclips content, because I’d fully do it for myself and rewatch and edit it formyself. Long story short; thank you for your content. You are a true inspiration and I aspire to have your skills in the near future when I save up enough to buy the gear.
I've watched 3 of your videos back to back to back right now for the first time and I gotta say... You explain things extremely well and your personality is awesome. Good stuff man
You have really insired me to do photography as well as film making. Thank you Peter McKinnon for these tutorials and for teaching me how to use these programs to their full potential.
Great video, you taught me frame blocking and using a tracking mask. All the other transitions were intuitive enough but this video definitely sparked some ideas in my head and I feel like a better content creator. Thanks for the video :)
Direct question: How guys like Brandon Li and Yuri Palma do their transition and effects???? what they are going to end up editing and grading run me in terror
Sleep is not overrated. It is very important. Getting only 6 hours of sleep a night comapared to 7 hours is much more detrimental to your cognitive abilities the following day
As someone who upgraded to Premiere less than a day ago, thank you so much for your channel. Just watching someone break down how to do these simple effects and looking over your shoulder in the program helps more than you know. Earned my sub today, so keep up the good work!
Sir It's Midnight Around 3:00 AM In India But Still I'm Watching Your Video... You Are Damm Good ... Its Very Much Informative And You're Completely Awesome... Incredible Video Sir... Always Love Your Work... Superb... 👍👍👍
So.. I've legit nonstop watched your videos for the past couple of days. You're amazing, thank you for all the help. Now I'm off to support you by buying all the materials from your store =)
Hey Peter! I'd love to see a behind the scenes of you actually filming a montage/section of B-Roll and just being the fly on the wall and seeing how you do things, what you're using, how, where, when etc. Because you talk about it and explain it to us and you show us example, and that is magic! but it's also different seeing everything in action, in particular you in action, and I think that will help us a whole nother level (and it would also just be really cool to watch aha) P.S - Totally smashed that like button. Hope that's cool.
Yo Pete.... What would I do without you man... I've watched so many tutorials on RUclips and I can see why you are the best. Thank you for delivering this spectacular work.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻Premiere Pro is so sophisticated you don’t have to do it frame by frame you can do it a few frames at a time and it still comes out good, will save you sooooo much time!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Kindly pleasssssssse do a video on how you did your intro[0:09-0:15]. Thanks ahead. Now, It's really amazing how you talk fast and still get to make your videos very explanatory and easy to follow. Good Lord!
Thanks for this one Pete, having watched this one a while back I had it in mind when working on my latest video; so while editing I came back and implemented it on my intro. I’ve got a long way till I’m up to you level but it was super fun. Thanks 🙏
Awesome input once again! I really enjoy your content. I know it takes many years of practice to get professional video down, but watching your videos makes the process of learning a lot easier! Keep it up bud:] You're almost at 500k!
I love your videos. One tip though. Panning = rotating left or right. In and out, with camera movement is called Tracking or Dollying. This is the second video where I've heard you say pan in. Just thought you'd like to know the correct jargon.
HI Peter, I joined your channel a few weeks ago, and I wanted to thank you. I use to not like editing, but now I have a kid excitement about it. I am always wanting to learn more. Thanks for your tutorials, tips, and I can't wait to start working with people who love what I do as well.
Ok. It's Official. After not much deliberation. I have a new favourite Vlogger/Teacher/Inspiration. Much Love Peter and what I must imagine is a pretty cool community 💖
Why do your videos make me smile?! Ahhh! Thanks for making all these videos. You are truly amazing! So helpful! Love your editing skills and knowledge. Your personality too! haha
Hope your first job went well. I'm still trying to afford a camera LMAO. I'm in school ATM so I'll probably have to find some kind of odd job to get my first camera. XD
If you are masking out a straight edge you can just keyframe the mask expansion to gradually mask it with out having to go through frame by frame. Not as accurate but a huge time saver.
Watched this a while back and I've come back as I'm ALMOST at the stage where I can afford to build a PC that is capable of running the Adobe Suite without driving me crazy with lag. I'm so ready to move on from Sony Vegas. Love this guy. Thanks Peter for everything you do on this channel. Always entertaining. Peace x
I’ve been immersed in several low budget film makers recently, Peter McKinnon has come to my attention last but is certainly not least. He definitely has the most laidback style and is very very likeable. Great tips on film making too, every time I watch a different video of his I learn something that I immediately use next time I’m working on my films.
Premiere Pro OR Final Cut Pro? Why?
Peter McKinnon Premier Pro because of it's Adobe integration.
It depends on what I'm doing. I really love Final Cut, but Premiere is so much easier to use, because of the after effects integration.
Never tried FCP and Premier Pro is Love
Final Cut X becouse it does not use wifi and You only pay once
Premiere Pro; however, i can edit with either one depending on the computer i've available at the moment
Definitely one of the best channels on RUclips!
Thanks for the compliment!
I seriously feel like I'm becoming a better filmmaker just by watching your videos!
I'm only watching Peter McKinnon and Ryukahr. Best channels so far. Even with VERY different content.
YEP!!
trueee
I'm trying to improve my editing skills, so I can start doing some actual film making for my channel. This is going to help so much! You've easily been one of my favorite people on RUclips. Thank you, for being you!

"Oh it's almost midnight, I should go to bed" *Peter McKinnon just uploaded a new video*. sleep is overrated anyway.
Who needs it?? RUclips, single handedly ruining sleep patterns across the globe. Cheers!
Peter McKinnon time zones bro. luckily I don't have work tomorrow, otherwise I put off jobs to watch these during my day.
