She is simply the greatest. I also discovered her in December 2020 on a sad, lonely night trying to cheer myself up with music... as u do. I wasn‘t prepared for Aurora. I can honestly say that i am a happier person since that night. Not enough people recognize her talent, a lot of people adore here but from my observation there is a group of people which her music reaches so deep inside unlike anything i have every experienced in my life. I feel blessed i feel that. There is nothing bombastic about her, she is an empath and she has found a way to let u feel with her in some special way.
I just discovered her in January, and my feelings mirror yours. Something about her music shook me straight to my core. Such a fascinating person. A silly, shy, woman, with a somewhat child-like aura in interviews (yet also apparently wise beyond her years), and a pure spirit of divine empathy, passion, and freedom when performing. She's a walking paradox, seemingly very relatable, yet so unique that people often joke that she's a fairy, or not of this world.
"All is soft inside" from the same concert is great ❣ Her "Soft Universe" from Nidarosdomen is also fantastic. The first is about your emotions and the second about need for love and care. In some way they belong together.

She ends that by simply yielding and dancing with her voice. Watch the STRIPPED version of Through the Eyes of a Child. It will take you in the completely opposite direction and it's very emotional.

To really understand aurora you have to look at her childhood,picture the lakes and forests of Norway as her playground and you can see how nature(Mother Earth) is so important to her and then add in the fact that as a child growing up her family never had a TV or radio,only an record player where she listened to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohan both great wordsmiths in the art of music,it's then you can start to understand what makes this girl become the amazing artist she is today,and to think at the age of 6 she found an old Brocken piano and taught herself to play without being able to read music is astonishing,to then at the age of 9 write a song called Lucky which you must listen to its a masterpiece and by the age of 16 have enough songs for her first album.(all my demons greeting as a friend )WOW! She is so special,for me she is a GENIUS .As a lover of music all of my life, like most of you we all have at times enjoyed certain artists,the reasons for this can be many fold,but I can honestly say that at this moment in my journey no one has touched my emotions or moved me like this young artist from Norway and there is a reason for her to have a huge fan base all over the world. She is such a great songwriter, singer and performer - for me there is a unique quality to her voice and the way she expresses her feelings in every word she sings is a quality that not many singers have She is not mainstream as she has created her own genre, and therefore she is not topping any charts. But that is not what aurora is about she has never craved for that she is a child of the earth and so grounded in what she believes in .So for me a musical journey with Aurora is a journey with meaningful lyrics and comforting vocals that makes you ask yourself questions and think more deeply about the kind of world we want to live in,for someone so young to write and produce songs plus produce all her own videos is outstanding.yes Aurora is a Genius.

Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one hit. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and were inspired after listen to Aurora.
You must check out Nidarosdomen concert. Massive cathedral, organ, strings, harp, and a male choir, and her band....

Her lyrics are often dark and grim, while the music is incongruously bright. Very interesting. A churchyard is a cemetery. An upbeat bouncy song about being threatened with death if she attempts to leave.
Cool reaction -- AURORA is just mesmerizing! I recommend reactions to her other live songs, for instance, "It Happened Quiet," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "Little Boy in the Grass" or "Lucky" from the Nidarosdomen Concert in a cathedral with orchestral ensemble and choir; or "Infections of a Different Kind," "The Seed" and “Daydreamer” from the HAIK 2019 concert she held in a forest; and from the same KEXP concert in Iceland that you got "Churchyard" from, she sings a great rendition of "All is Soft Inside”; and the Bergen Philharmonic concert where she sings “Soulless Creatures” live for the first time

Great Dereck! Her co-singer SIlja Sol (The dark haired lady) is very important for the AURORA sound. AURORA the queen of genuineness and superb voice.. Listen to her Infections of a differnet kind in the HAIK (Wood) concert. Deep, meaningful and out of this world beautiful.

A great Norwegian Artist from Bergan whom started writing music at 6 years old, taught herself piano at 6 and writing songs at 10. Her music is like non other as she sat in the lone woods alone to do this. At 11 her mother discovered her notebooks. Never had music, singing or dancing lessons, Signed at 16 and is the star of Norway. Aurora is known internationally . Start with "Thru the eyes of a child" @

Great reaction! What's great about her live performances is that she makes the same songs different depending on what type of venue she's performing at. I recomend any of the songs from this performance or her Nidarosdomen concert.
She's literally a goddess. And this is supernatural even by her standards.
Check out the studio version of Warrior and then follow that up with Warrior - HAIK. The latter version is from a Norwegian show where Aurora is not in control and she meets new musicians to practice with before giving a private concert to two lucky people shortly after.

Try "It happened quiet" live at the current, and/or "murder song" live at the Nobel peace prize concert for a totally different feel. They are both awesome in their own way, and more calm and intimate than those you've tried this far.
