dang! get well soon!
Will do. I've got a great support team here for recovery, so I'll be back in the saddle next season. I can't wait.
Heal up brother 👊 can't wait to see your next adventure
Will do buddy!👊
Nice intro with the Molle bag on the scooter. Haha
Get well soon!
LOL. New bike alert! The all new four wheeled domicile dominating, "Lazy Steve". Gets you from couch to coffee in 10 mins. Need to rock a pass in the middle of the night, nervous about pitch black hallways and ominous stairs? Have no fear. With the detachable LED headlight, navigating to the bathroom at 3AM hasn't been easier!
Sweet scoot! That’s really a neat mobility rig, stylin’ with the LED headlight and soft luggage. Glad you had your gear, I sometimes feel over dressed for wearing mine even to run a few errands, but we have so many deer in this area, can’t risk it. Man, not sure if you planned it, but the outro with your shadow rolling away made me lol. Cheers brother, wishing you a quick recovery.
LOL totally didn't plan it and definitely just watched it to see. Too funny. Yeah it could have been so much worse if I didn't have the right boots. I'm still shocked I was able to ride it home on that foot. I was thinking about trying to strap the tusk bags on the scooter too, but they are still super dirty from Quebec. Cheers buddy. Happy Friday!
wishing you the best on your recovery. bummer having your season end like this. cool idea having guest riders.
the braided brake lines are one of the best upgrades for the klr. you will be amazed at the difference. careful applying front brake at first. just sayin'.
I'm excited to do them up. I feel like it's going to be the same as the foot pegs. I held off forever on better pegs because I didn't believe they would help much, but sure enough, when I changed them it was a world of improvement. It's fun work too.
Cheers buddy. Happy Friday!!
Get well soon Bud! You'll be back on the fox soon
Thanks man. I was really hoping to get back home again for another ride this fall too. But we'll set up another great NB adventure next season for sure.
I have been following you and your videos since inception of IADV. You're lastest series of videos have truly been just awesome! You and all of your Island ADV riding comrades have kept me entertained with miles of smiles! Yeah, that injury looks 😖! Take care of yourself and yes, the Mighty KLR (Aka) The Sliver Fox) needs some surgery too!
Thanks so much man. I'm so glad you've been enjoying all the adventures. I really love putting them together and capturing the rides.
I can't wait to get back on the bike. I'm going to put some decent time into it during this extended off season too, lol. Cheers and thanks for the well wishes.
ouch! crashed on my foot a couple of times in the harescramble where it twisted my leg. Actually surprised i didn't break my leg in all that. Will pray for healing for you. That does NOT sound good.
Thanks man. I hope I'll heal up soon, then it's straight back on the bike and right back to the trails.
@@IslandADVSo i did the whole Riverglade harescramble on D606s front and back. And it was MUDDY. They were not terrible, can't get much worse conditions than that. Even guys on mx33s were slipping and sliding during that so I think the d606s fared well. I recommend them. Better for side to side grip. The downside is more road noise of course.
Moral of the story ?? Mrs Dowski needs to be wearing MX boots around the house !! Haha. Hope the rehab’s been going good. Only 3 months to go til riding season .. at least here in MB. Thx for sharing !! 👍🏽
Rehab is going great. I need to make another update video here soon. Maybe I'll put one up on Monday. The foot feels great though which is good since work 1.0 and 2.0 are both VERY busy.
Hope you heal up soon! I've been enjoying the Martin Head series, looking forward to the next!
Thanks man. Lots of good recovery progress this weekend. Hoping that keeps up too. I'm glad you're liking the series too. It was such a fun trip. Can't wait for next year's event.
Cool update. I loved the intro with the scooter. It sucks that you had to suffer an injury yet the positive is that it could have been so much worse.
I hope you have a prompt recovery and to see you back in the trails next year.
Cheers!
It's all part of the experience I guess. Good gear saved my foot from complete disaster, so I'll be back on two wheels as soon as I can.
Eric will be doing harescrambles next season ;) You just wait :D
@@MicahGallant lol I've already been invited to a bit of a single training day next season on a 250 smoker.
@@IslandADVNice! I am buying a Kawi F7 'smoker' for the specific purpose of scrambles. Going to check it out tomorrow. Should be interesting!
So sorry to hear about your injury and upcoming surgery, but definitely looking forward to the guest videos you announced. Hope the recovery goes smoothly
Thanks so much. The surgery went really good so I'm resting up now.
I think the guest videos will be fun. Mostly because of how different they'll be. I love seeing people be creative with this kind of stuff.
Your new bike is cool 😂
LOL, yep. It gets me from point A to B.
That smooth surfaced silty mud one of my worse enemies, similar to wet long grass. Rest well. Excited the see the Mayhem finally, I'm the orange helmet guy
My next adventure? Probably one last motocamping ride tomorrow, the cool crisp and fall colors just gravitate me to the woods
Oh a fall campout would be fantastic right now. And you have a great weekend for it man. Enjoy!
It was great riding with you this summer.
Wow sorry to here that. You take easy I know what happens when you get bored. I was wondering what you are thinking about for a two up bike now ya time to shop. We all are hanging on cheers to ya.
Our two-up plan has unfortunately hit a snag, but it's only a snag and plan is still the same. Project V will be a Versys 650 that me and Mrs. Dowski will use to go on adventures together. We've got a long list of adventures we want to do with it too. Cabot Trail again of course, but also Quebec City, and Maybe New Hampshire. Cheers!
@@IslandADV cool choice
Too bad about your spill but glad your ok albeit some recovery from surgery.
Yeah it's a bummer for sure. I had lots of plans for the Fall, but now the "fall" has made new plans for me, lol.
well - sucks that the riding season is over
good to hear that you aren't completely buggered up - and will ride again.
guest videos are a great idea - it is a great idea.
Thanks. I thought it would be a fun way to keep the ride going. I'm interested to see what the crew comes up with.
Man this is a bummer to come back to after way too long away.
Total bummer. I just got back from Quebec, got the bugs in the bike fixed, and the season ends. Another fall riding season missed. But I'm walking again now. Time to get ready for spring.
Hope you can get back on your bike soon good sir!
Me too. Not this season. But next for sure. In the meantime, I'll just keep watching youtube videos of other people's adventures, lol.
@@IslandADV Yeah I hear ya on that. Riding season this year wasn't great because of the constant rain so I have not posted much myself. Past few weeks have been nice but I was also plagued with medical issues so I couldn't ride. I am hoping to go out today to check out some fall colors though! But will stick to main roads because of that medical thing I mentioned lol
@Picklerides oh man the rain. ALL SEASON LONG. I hope you feel better soon. Looks like there's a bunch of us spending the off season in recovery mode. Ride safe today.
