It was a kind gesture. That's all it was. It wouldn't have injured the lady, but it would've been annoying to be hit. So, it showed class and good sportsmanship.
The ladies team mates aren't somehow bad or in the wrong for not moving to block the ball. They're all focused with their heads in the game, and there's no telling how that will affect each individuals split second to second mental process. Since it wouldn't have been a dangerous situation, no alarm bells went off in the VERY few team mates heads who WERE privy to see the ball coming toward their team mate.
That was kind of absurd.... theres no need to imply those other ladies are somehow inconsiderate for not blocking the ball themselves. That was weird for you to even bring up.

You get so much respect when you apologize for your mistakes instead of being jealous and unsympathetic to your opponents. CC. Is a person players need to appreciate for bringing this sport out into mainstream and make it more popular for all players. I never thought I. Could get so excited watching a woman play basketball but I do.👍CC. 💫

This is a perfect micro-moment of what's happening on a macro scale with the whole Caitlin career, etc. Some people are pushing so hard to make this about race, hate, etc. Meanwhile Caitlin and her fans just want to watch someone who shots like Curry, passes and makes plays like Jokic, and even can break ankles as well. That's it. You have a true possible Michael Jordan enter the league and rather then prop her up to help caitlin help them all, Jealousy is listening to the hate, rather then seeing what is really going on....
The hate from players needs to stop. Or else Fever need to hire Dennis Rodman to come back to protect Caitlin like he did Jordan who without Rodman would never have won his rings.. it's the same for Caitlin. Caitlin might be able to triple all their salaries if they support her instead of being jealous. and just understand what is really going on...
Glad team mates stepped in to let her know what happened....
