Was Angel Reese’s last four minutes the most blatant example of stat-padding you’ve ever seen?
The other games where she was begging for the ball in garbage time to improve her sat line are just as egregious.
Reese double/double avivement only happened because she can't do a lay-up.
I wrote to the commissioner and requested that she 'rule' that a rebound that doesn't result in any points not be counted on the stat sheet.
I had just watched a video where the presenter made the accusation that Reese was missing shots ON PURPOSE, so that she could add to her rebound numbers.
Before that, I had assumed that AR was just a terrible shot, but now that's I've gone back and watched some of those 3 and 4 rebound moments, it may be that she's missing them on purpose. If so, then that is a blatant example of 'illegal' stat padding. I wouldn't put it past AR to be doing that. If she cheats on her appearance, why wouldn't she cheat on her stats?
In my opinion, a double double earned on points and rebounds shouldn't 'count' the same as a double double earned on points and assists.
Since a pass without points is just a pass and a pass with points is an assist, then a rebound without points is a NOTHING.
Doesn't feel right to count catching your own misses towards your rebound total because it is way too easy to pad - just win to miss first then score.
By all means count these MEbounds, just keep them separate from the important rebound total.

So far in 32 games this year, Caitlin has 19 PPG and 8.5 APG and 5.8 Rebounds.. That's all star level of play right there, right off the bat. She is leading the league in assists as a rookie. She's on hell of a point guard.

Steve Nast had more turnovers than many in his time, but you know damn well he and Kidd were the best of that time because they went for and made passes others couldn’t see. Two if you fail that just proves that player is deserving of the praise. Patience, people. Besides rebounding, Angel Reese's game stinks. She can't shoot, dribble, or pass. Her court vision is non-existent, and she doesn't care about winning - just looking good. Instead of working on the basic skills she should have learned ten years ago, she's started a podcast to promote herself.
Nobody wants her on their team. You could see some of her team mates getting fed up with her double double stat padding BS. Several Sky players have left or are trying to leave, largely because of her toxicity. She'll be out of the league in two years, and completely forgotten.
