      Thanks for expanding the narrative. It is easy to get tunnel vision when all you see is the same old same old. Muhammad Ali was also a globally inspiring figure. He staged fights outside the U.S. in places like Zaire and the Philippines that were bigger than anything anyone had ever seen. CC haters are nothing compared to Ali haters. Maybe Nike could sponsor the Fever's world tour. God knows we need some relief from hate and politics.

    Omg seeing those 22 jerseys made me tear up. Caitlin is a role model for so many girls in the world and yet the wnba doesn’t recognize what they have in Cc. The WNBA should be marketing their league and using Cc to do it. However, the wnba is filled with a bunch of racist jealous lesbians and the commissioner is afraid to put Cc out there as this most special female player.

    • @2kool42
      @2kool42 3 месяца назад

      In Caitlin's case, I don't believe gender or ethnicity matters (away from the WNBA and Caitlin haters). She has transcended most norms with her conduct off the court. I believe she is a role model for young boys as well. I will temper my position a little bit by saying my wish for her would be to better control her emotions on the court. There is good reason but sometimes it isn't a good look.

    • @casilatino
      @casilatino 2 месяца назад

      @@2kool42 how is she suppose to curb her emotions when she is getting hacked and knocked down and no fouls being called when they are obvious fouls? You expect her to be the perfect basketball player and just go with the flow of prison ball and refs not reffing? She isn’t a computer nor a zombie. I wish she would get more feisty and I think a lot of her fans want her to start sticking up for herself even more.

    • @2kool42
      @2kool42 2 месяца назад +1

      @@casilatino Your points are valid and well taken. I remember being exacerbated by the injustice she was enduring. I agree with you 100% that she was abused virtually every game and left to fend for herself. All that being said it is never helpful to show up a referee by flailing your arms as you walk down the court. Showing up a referee will only cause the close calls to go against you even when the official is trying to be unbiased. There is a saying "you get more with sugar than salt". The real travesty is she got no protection from her coach or teammates.

Her video gone viral on tik tok the game she had in high school where some group of boys called her overrated, then she scored 42. Then those fans started following her through you tube and ESPN. That's why she is the face of Women Basketball, not only WNBA. Somewhere out there is a video of a woman - looking to be in her late fifties, maybe? - in maybe the Philippines or maybe West Indies... I'm really not sure where. But it's so sweet. She was so inspired by Caitlin Clark that she bought a basketball, got her husband to affix a hoop to a tree, and is out there in her dirt driveway trying and trying to make baskets and just having fun with it. You can tell she's never even touched a basketball, much less made shots, but she doesn't care. She just wants in some small fashion to be like Caitlin. I imagine there are many people around the entire globe who feel the same way. The Global Caitlin Clark Effect! Thanks for sharing this video, Adrienne. Truly inspirational!

    Ive been saying this and I saw comments from some of the socalled CC fans making wide assumptiond that alot of bp are against her. We are fans too. Quietly as kept, alot of bp are about decency and class. The low vibrational segment that the media promotes are the ones who might not like her and prefer Reese, Aja and others. They tend to be the loudest online. Its no longer just her game for me. But her class and poise too.

      👍❤️🔥💯 Respect to you, my friend. I see the haters criticise CC, but, I don't see their "colour". I only see low vibrational humans who are jealous, envious and full of hatred, with a good dose of victim consciousness. I've seen the crowds, bp and yp mixed happily together, as it should be, and the adoring little kids, girls and boys waiting for an autograph. The actions of some, don't represent all, they've just got a loud voice. Again, respect to you, from an old man in Queensland Australia ❤

    Reminds me of Mohammed Ali when he fought George Forman in Africa. Ali ment so much to people all around the world. In his life, he was loved. He was hated. But, in the end he was no doubt the most loved American. The most loved sports figure around the World... Role model. Caitlin is sure that in spades. You see the families. The parents with their daughters at all her games... Signing autographs... I watched her take off her shoes, sign them and give them to a little girl who had nothing for her to sign. The next week many other players were doing the same thing. Leadership, role models... The WMBA has to take care not to ruin that. Not to lose that. We need fewer haters and more basketball. Parents bring their kids to see Caitlin and watch the game. Basketball. It's the universal language. It's not someones private club. Lose the hate. Protect the game. It's a huge responsibility. But, it's in the hands of those who run this league. And the players, all of whom should be role models... When I was young, my first introduction to basketball was watching the Harlem Globtrotters. Goose Tatum and Meadowlark Lemon... Those were the days. And, those were ambassadors to this great game. To a little 8 year old they were magic. Just like Caitlin and Ali... Adrienne, once again you outdid yourself. You're always finding the real meaning in what's going on. What's really important.

They seem to have a natural instinctive love of the game.

    How pure is their enthusiasm. Playing without a backboard or a net or a surface to dribble upon...wow, and still feeling the joy because they have a basketball and a pole with a metal ring to toss it through. This is one of the reasons i enjoy seeing women and girls play sports. On the amateur side, i usually see a more wholesome enjoyment of the game without all the negative ego stuff. In pro sports or college, when i see some women acting with negative ego, i lose all interest. If you want negative ego, just tune in to just about any pro sport to see some bad apples spoil the barrel. Beautiful video. Got kind of choked up for a moment when they cheered after getting the ball through that metal ring. Reminded me of my late sisters, who did everything with gratitude and joy.

    Back in ’81, I had a 7th grade teacher that taught us PMA positive mental attitude. PMA is a good way to look at things/life, if you focus/see negative then you’re not looking at things the right way. CC her team mates in Iowa, and now the Fever are seeing it, and most of are seeing it now. I seen it for the last 3 years in the WNCAA, Fla J, JuJu, Page and many others are coming to the WNBA soon so let’s please clean this league up, before these other young ladies join. Let’s keep our great fans, and new fans! Things are getting better, and it can only go up from here, if we all do are part. Remember PMA😄
