Adrienne, you are BIG TIME now. I am subscribed to various channels that have nothing to do with sports but whenever they weigh in on cultural issues surrounding Clark, Reese, and WBB, your name has come up a few times.... more than any other content creator discussing women's basketball
Salute to Angel Reese for being chosen for this cover! I'm genuinely happy for her I think Angel is the most fashion forward of the WNBA players, so she's definitely the best choice for this honor. I also respect that she's making the effort to seize control of her own narrative, her own brand.
Congratulations Angel! I wish I was a little more fashion conscious but it's never been my thing. Good for her! Let Angel be Angel, and Caitlin be Caitlin!
I know it was a struggle but glad you shine light on Angel for the POSITIVE things and not always making videos bc of what negativity fans say about her! You get it Angel has her own lane and is writing her own story. She's like the girl Allen Iverson where culture and basketball meet! Angel is shining light on being her unapologetically Angel! She's 22yo and is doing it! Congrats to Angel! Fyi ...Vogue does not know how to cover black ppl didn't really love the pictures
It's nice to see professional athletes developing interests outside their sport. For years, especially on the men's side, this didn't happen and led to many tragic stories after their playing days. Congratulations to Angel Reese on pursuing her dreams and not only being defined by her sport. I'm expecting more of these stories to come. Non-political agenda is refreshing
I think it is a wonderful cover and she looks beautiful on it. I also hope that she realizes after she has seen herself in clothes chosen by Vogue that she can look beautiful and eye catching in more conservative stylish clothes
Where is the shade from the press and commentators? Why are they not insisting that the Vogue cover should be a montage of fashionable WNBA players. (Sorry, just trolling with some light sarcasm.)
O she is because she's done so much for the sports, and if people can't skip past anything that has to do with her for both positive and negatives then she is an icon
Never, Angel Reese is the first basketball player to ever appear on Vogue, Brink was in Skims which is partnered with the wmba and Angel Reese has appeared on it twice
Congratulations to Reese. The femininity of Angel Reese is what I like the most about her. But I will be honest - I am ambivalent toward her. I am happy that she is getting all of these opportunities. However, I have not forgotten all that has transpired from her during the past season. She has played a major role in all of the TOXICITY from the W that was thrown on Clark's direction.
Angel is Awesome. She doesn't care about you bloggers running your mouths and trying to get clicks on your hateful videos. And no one cares about your lame takes.
Congrats to Reese for being on the cover of Vogue. I don’t like the skimpy outfits. Reese is only 22 years old I have no problem with makeup, lashes and hair being done. I do have a problem with nails. Nails are literally a weapon and shouldn’t be worn in basketball. I’m talking about the pointed 1 + inches long nails. That should not be allowed. It is for safety. I love having my nails done and even played basketball with polished nails. Just not daggers. At some point in time you are going to poke a player in the eye. It’s inevitable. Whether people like it or not, when somebody wears revealing outfits, whether you’re a model or a basketball player or a normal person you are going to be sexualize. You can’t have it both ways.
I like having my nails done, too. I don't wear them as long anymore because if I wear my contacts, it's difficult to get them out, and it is a pain to type on the phone and computer. So I wear them shorter than I prefer. I also wear them squared off; I can't stand the pin-pointy ones everyone seems to have gravitated to.
@@TheAdrienneRossShow I’m luck I have a long nail bed so they look longer. Yes I too have to wear them shorter because of contacts and typing on anything. 😁
On a side note…what do you think about the standout Rutgers freshman bb player having to sit out against USC for breaking curfew, allegedly, until 3am and then posting on Instagram basically throwing her Head Coach under the bus 🙄. I believe they lost 94-41
If She Could Only See That She Can Be Pretty With Clothes On, With Out Being Nasty And Rude… She Does Need Some Help, Not Sure Who Her Mentors Are… They Need To Help Her. To Me… She Is Starving For Attention!
She can have all the dreams she wants but too many times she feels sexualized yet she puts it out there. Anna Wintour is an ICON in fashion, though not a fan of hers, she doesn’t play. I honestly think she thinks she’d do better in fashion and not basketball. I think she can’t handle the stress of the WNBA & sadly, I think, it’s damaging her spirit & will be out in 3-4 years.
I think it is a shame Vogue has such few options to have Angel Reese on the cover, it’s like rewarding someone who wears what she posted a week ago, that if we’re honest looked absolutely trashy, wear that if she wants but what has happened to our society that she gets away with that and is on the cover of what I did consider a prestigious magazine, just like the WNBA has no guidelines, there is a way to have an appealing feminine look without looking like what you really want is to be a Playboy center fold, I’m just really tired of this Angel Reese saga!
In the culture of narcissism, maybe it doesn't matter what your goals are or how you go about achieving them. Still, if I had a teenage daughter or niece who was into basketball and inclined to look to the W for an icon and a mentor, I'd hand her the Time Magazine Athlete of the Year issue and this issue of Vogue and say, "Study these two articles and tell me the difference between these two individuals, their character and their goals" If she couldn't, I'd say, "Honey, put the basketball down. We've got something far more important than basketball to get clear about."
I do not have any issues with any of the photos iv seen. I'm not sure iv seen them all, I certainly have not searched for any, I really don't care to. What I have seen, I'd have to say, is perhaps the most tasteful of anything iv seen her do since she has become a name. I don't think much of the fashion industry, fashion wise or the 'culture' they promote. I also don't think Reese is at all attractive, and does not have a personality or the voice for fashion adjacent. But, that's ok, It does not have to be for everyone. It's good she has the opportunity to do something she has wanted to do. But, I think she needs to milk it for everything she can now, because it will not last. She is getting this because of her current cross-platform notoriety.
Congratulations to Angel Reese for her magazine cover.
Matte, not mac?

Not a fan of Reese, but this is her lane and this is a good look for her! Great job!! She looks great!
I agree

Happy for AR. She got her own cover 👍🏽. Hopefully the mystic owner doesn’t complain that it’s not the entire W🤞🏽
Angel is blk. So NO, they won't complain.

Gotta give the Devil her due...Angel nailed it. She definitely belongs on the Cover of Vogue. You go girl.
I like the way Angel Reese is living her life now, since haters will always find something to hate and she has decided fuck all the haters
Where is the shade from the press and commentators? Why are they not insisting that the Vogue cover should be a montage of fashionable WNBA players.

More attractive with clothes on
Go AR. U look Beautiful🔥🔥🔥
Reese looks great on this cover. Between her and Cam Brink, these girls may actually make basketball fans out of Vogue readers.
Congrats Angel!
Did Angel refer to herself as a basketball icon?
O she is because she's done so much for the sports, and if people can't skip past anything that has to do with her for both positive and negatives then she is an icon
Cameron Brink was featured in Vogue a few months ago, I believe.

Anna Wintour shades Kim Kardashian...then goes and puts Angel Reese on the cover of Vogue. Bizzarro world.

THAT BOARD MEMBER WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE AND SHE PAUD FIR IT DEARLY. BIT WHAT A LIFE LESSON AT SUCH AN OLD AGE. AND MADE THE TEACHER VERY RICH.
She is narcissistic, not the "beauty" she thinks she is. Give her a 5.5/10
Her fashion style is laughable trashy
Agree. Why are we being gaslit about her looks??
If you are white, then I understand your rating. But if you are a black man - that 5.5 rating is nuts.

Nah, let's let her have this win.
Why not the whole W on the cover ? Dont like it wearing too many clothes.. too many
Wait, did she just call herself a "basketball icon"?? 🤣😂🤣😂

AR ain't as "all that" as she thinks she is.
