- Sukhumvit in Bangkok is one of the most visited areas of the city along with Khaosan Road! Check out this video to see why you should be staying in Sukhumvit on your next trip to Thailand
Soi 4: Mix of Nana plaza adult entertainment and Hillary live music bars that everyone can enjoy. Pool bars, irish bars and even ladyboy bars if thats your cup of tea
Soi 7: Mostly beer bars for the single man.. although there is a beer garden a little more down the road thats more chilled out
Soi 8: wide selection of places for everyone including an epic pizza place call Vasizio that I would highly recommend!
Soi 11: Beer bars, Gogo bars, Night clubs, Rooftop cars and Restaurants... an all around good street for nightlife
Soi 13: More chilled set back from the road although it does have a Hooters haha
Soi 21: World famous Soi Cowboy is here for all to see.. Seen in the movie the Hangover
Soi 22: Massage central!

Excellent intro video for Central Bangkok. Thx
Glad you liked it!
Really good explanation of the area. Ahhh the memories. My first few weeks in Thailand were here, actually my first few weeks traveling anywhere outside the US were here. Straight into the fire ;)
I think for most people it is as well.. was you recommended to stay there? I feel like people always stay here based on someone else recommended it to them
Great video, am fan of soi 11 lots of good bars to choose from and something for everyone
That soi has evolved the most over the past 6 months that’s for sure! Good to see new things open as well
Going to Bangkok for the first time in about a month. Thanks for the information! Very nice layed back style of presenting your content and pretty unbiassed as far as I can tell!
very interesting video and also very beautiful... thanks a lot for the picture with you.. all the best for you
Your welcome! Thanks for watching 🙏
I loved staying in Sukhumvit, so much there and such a lively part. No doubt I'll be staying around there in my next visit to Bangkok! Decent vid too!
Thanks bro! Get those tickets booked haha
great videos and great views in the background. it's good to see quality content from someone with lots of bangkok experience.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching
I literally just got back from Bangkok (I live in Shanghai) and we stayed in Sukhumvit at the Fusion Suites (location was almost bang-on @9:12). Very nice and, aside from some questionable electrical issues, was super convenient to reach the rest of the city by either bus, BTS, or the subway. Personally I love the old-school Hino buses.
Very informative for newbies or even like me who is regular visitor there is so much to see and do … The Prices are definitely more than Pattaya and heaps of traffic… Awesome Vlog as always mate .
Thanks bud.. there were 100 other things I could have talked about to be honest but have to remember there’s a lot of viewers that have never gone. Will prob have a video called “why I left sukhumvit” soon lol
I always love sukhumvit soi-34 at thonglor bts near to my low-rise cozy and quiet condo!🙏💕
How much do you pay. I was paying 40000 baht but the many thai girls i braught over said i was paying to much. I stayed on soi 36
Awesome video that gave me an idea of what it will be like when I Stay there on my vacation. You should do multiple videos on the other parts of Bangkok/Thailand like this!
Will be doing exactly the same sort of video for the Khaosan road, old town area of Bangkok as well thats completely different 👌
Great video as always mate. I love asok always stay at it when u vist bkk. Great location and very easy to get around with the bts and mrt. Was in thailand about a month ago and already missing thailand
I usually get those holiday blues after about 1 week and start looking at flights again haha.. I took the extra step and sold everything I owned and moved here 😜
Excellent vid- thanks for this. We're staying not far from Soy Cowboy when we get there next August.
I’m on the other side of the road from cowboy and it’s actually peaceful considering the madness around.. would be very difficult as a new comer to select the ideal location sometimes
Bangkok Pat recommended booking only 2 nights for when you arrive in case you want to change and I think that’s an excellent idea 💡
The Landmark (5-Star) Hotel in Sukhumvit was great for my first few nights ever in Thailand. I'd never been to South East Asia, so it was the perfect first stop for me. I remember sitting in the restaurant looking out of the giant window, wondering if I would ever be brave enough to leave the premises! I was, and after 3 months of backpacking, I was happy to stay in the budget hotels around Khao San rd.
Very good very good 👍 Thanks 🙏 for an informative Vlog . 4000 subscribers so close
No way, note to self to not use the train around 5 😂. Such an interesting video, wish I hadn't already booked my hotel but these are great points! Quality video as always!
I’m sure it will be fine.. you will be exploring more of the time I’m sure.. no time for sleeping haha
0:54 stayed there Ruamchitt Plaza nice roof top pool 👍👍cool Vid cheers
Thanks for sharing Joe 👌🏻
Class video. Cheers Rob
Thanks I appreciate it
Great video thanks very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Well done video. Don't forget your fun card when visiting "The Oasis".
Haha we both got one in the end.. can’t say no to discounted beers 🤣
Best vlog we have found .....no messin...cut to the truth approach is how we like it...
Thanks for the excellent video...keep um coming ..
Your welcome Rich! Thanks for the kind feedback.. I think its good to show things as they are.. perhaps a little reading between the lines here and there for people but most get the gist of things 🙂
Thanks for the reply ...is there any chance you could do a vid on the cannibis situation out there....
Im curious but dont want to get in trouble with the law ...
If not. ..no bother....thanks
For the most part it could be detrimental to my channel so have avoided making a video.. same with talking about the redlight areas here in the city. Some of the other lads who made videos got flagged for ad sustainability so I will leave the subject for another time. For the most part you can buy it anywhere on the street here legally.. as well as endless shops to buy and smoke in.. I honestly wouldn’t worry for a second about it.. it’s just like going out to buy a beer now
Totally understand....
Respect your decision.
Keep making those excellent videos.
And thanks for explaining the situation
Hey there brother,I'm new to your channel,I got a job in Bangkok and I'll be moving in 3 weeks,I wanted to say thank you for all of your great content,I love your channel, keep doing a wonderful job and take care brother 💪
Nice one Athlon I appreciate the kind words and support.. the channel is what it is because of your guys
I bet your excited like a kid at Christmas to come!!!
@@ProjectBangkok hell yeah bro! Maybe we'll meet for a beer one day 🤙🤙
Asok/Sukhumvit is the best place in bkk. It's got literally everything, great vid. Been going for years, normally stay sukhumvit 11 which has a new row of bars since covid (and Hillary). However, its cheaper to stay Ekkamai, and Tonglor is quite good but I still prefer sukhumvit
This man knows what hes talking about.. all of the above true! Soi 11 is really picking up lately.. going to be the new walking street of Bangkok at this rate
Good points! I like living here for convenience factor to public transpiration. However, it is a little crazy. BTS has been a zoo at rush hour lately.
You can just about spot yourself in the zoo clip I put in haha 😂
Good video 👌🏾👌🏾
Thank you for the feedback
My favourite area I think but I haven't stayed in to many other areas of BKK yet except I stayed at Lebua State Tower the first time I came. I've stayed at the Park Plaza a few times which you can see at the beginning of the vlog. It's not the best hotel but I like the views of Benjakitti park from the lovely little rooftop pool. Go for a walk every morning around Benjakitti is a good way to start the day. Stayed at the Landmark Hotel a few times. Great area! Terminal 21 etc Insanity I watched Paul Oakenfold there once I was well pissed
Oakenfold is a legend! It’s really nice to be near the parks.. I miss that a lot now I’m in Q Chidlom. Rama 9 doesn’t have many parks either unfortunately
Nice to run into you on Saturday.
You too bud! I always welcome people saying hello.. I have such a small channel but get so many people say hello I’m not used to it at all 🤣
I lived in Bangkok from 1996 to 2000 and spent some time living on Sukhumvit 11 at what is now The Mercure hotel. Not sure it has changed for the better as it seems to have joined the ranks with the likes of Nana and soi Cowboy. Back then it had its own identity and was more known for Cheap Charlie's and the infamous Ambassador Hotel long past its sell by date unfortunately!!
Has 100% changed by the sound of things then.. some higher end nightclubs now on the street and I agree that it’s looking more like Nana lately for sure
when was this filmed? great info man!
Thank you.. was filmed 5 days ago 👍🏻
The parks have no drone signs. Can you fly if you have the NBTC and CAAT approval? Thanks
Good video thank . I want to spend a few days there . Then go down to Pattaya. I will watch your other videos . Thanks . PS . I would like to spend up to $40 us for a guest friendly hotel ? Where do you think ?
Never stay in hotels so couldn’t help there I’m afraid buddy
Love sukomvit ❤
It’s where the party is!
@@ProjectBangkok just a quick visit before I head off to the North lol
just a lil bit envious, just a little bit
Coming here is in everyone’s reach.. it’s all about adjusting life and perhaps even making sacrifices to pursue the dream.. I’ll tell my story more after 5k subs 😊
Which building hotel are you filming…? I mean which hotel has that view..?
Just live slightly off the main Suk road hustle and bustle would be great
That usually suits most people to be fair.. it’s what I’m doing as well.. just far enough away but not too far to walk to the links 👌🏻
Thank you for the information. Yes the hotels are amazing. We had contact with a Makler, from your condo, but only want to sale this. But we want it to rent and test , is Bangkok the right place to life there for ever. Have a nice day and best wishes Siri and Uwe
I intend to live in Thailand forever.. I could fully imagine staying here as well because of how easy it is to travel not only domestic but internationally as well. There’s an agent desk in Ashton that has info on rentals but hipflat and fazwaz will also have rentals from there too.
@@ProjectBangkok Thank you for your help. We will lock. Have a nice day Siri and Uwe
@@ProjectBangkok Thank you very much. on 06.02.2023 we come to Thailand and stay on Koh Samui for 14 Days. in Sheraton Hotel. If you like we can meet us, for some bier😜. Best wishes Siri and Uwe
Sounds great.. feel free to send me flight tickets and hotel booking confirmation and I’ll be there! I’ll even get the first round in 🤣
@@ProjectBangkok Hello Rob if we have the fly number I will send it to you. Have a nice Sunday. 🥲
Exciting place, but not sure I would live there more than a few days at a time!
But to each their own. We all want and need different things.
I been here nearly a year to be fair.. am actually going to move Rama 9 soon because I miss cheap street food 🤣
@@ProjectBangkok Haha, lived a 20 min walk from Phra Ram 9 MRT last year, great area, wish I had explored more!
@@pejfectlife With the Thailand heat sometimes thats easier said than done
My friend can you help me which area will be better to easily travel to iconsiam and mbk malls
Perhaps Siam as it has links to both BTS lines
@ProjectBangkok thank you sir one last help please I will also be visiting the grand palace wat arun wat pho & also the mahanakhon sky walk including mbk & iconsiam so Siam would be a good choice or some other place which is like a centre connects all these places
Hello mate what good hotels are in sukhumvit area is the ashton there..
Coming in april
Yeah Ashton is the best located condo in Sukhumvit area.. can find it on Airbnb for sure.. There must be 10,000+ hotels all in the area so I couldn't recommend any to be honest as I only stay in my condo haha just have a hunt around and see what suits you.. be aware of location to BTS and MRT stations if you can, but again Ashton is the best located for that also
Thank you mate
This was just Asoke and Nana. Sukhumvit area Bangkok is much bigger.
What rooftop are you on?!
Ashton Asoke 👍🏻 beautiful view
I'm really a FAN of your videos but you made a big mistake 😂 the best nightclub in Bangkok is “Spaceplus” 555+ Lol 😆 Please correct the statement, otherwise .. hahaha
I’ll be sure to mention Space Camp in another video.. Space Canvas is very popular.. Space Cavity for the win 🥇
Thanks for the comment Space cadet
Question, can I book you as my tourguide 😜
You can indeed bro! You still have to be my bodyguard though 🤣💪
@@ProjectBangkok you know me, I'm there for my bro, but wear normall pants when we go somewhere 😜
FYI, There are plenty of homeless people in UK & USA as well.
Thank god you're there to inform me. I would have never of known! Thank you 🙏
The weather is damn hot 🔥 in Bangkok, I just wonder you wearing shorts 🩳 or long 👖...?
Shorts everyday all day.. I tried wearing jeans once for a rooftop bar and had to bail out 30min later
@@ProjectBangkok I am asian, hot weather a bit unbearable but good for health
@@motteitte9222 After 1 year I have finally stopped sweating haha
@@ProjectBangkokhahaha...555
'you'd pick up plenty of women too' just lol
Haha I love it when people get involved 🤣 it’s usually a wave in the background though
Since 2011 i go to bankok appart from covid times i always stayed kao san road area around then tried sukhumvit what a let down so expensive made me go straight to cambodia where i can have an 8$ sunday roast 2$ coctails happy hours and 0.75$ cold beers served sitting in restaurant
Sounds like a very cultured trip haha 😂 my kinda trip though I’m not going to lie
When you live in a busier, pricier part of town, and complain about the how busy & pricey it is : (
