I live in Rio de Janeiro and I saw many of them here too, even though we don't speak Spanish. It's completely understandable. I'd do the same thing if I were in their shoes.

@@garymclaughlin1274 No mucha, de hecho el Español de Venezuela es prácticamente igual que el de Canarias debido a la gran inmigración que recibió el país desde las islas durante los siglos XIX y XX. También llegaron muchos gallegos, vascos y andaluces.

I like this channel because it doesn't patronise the learner by making the language so simple it is silly. The people speak normally. There is a good mix of straight forward questions and answers to more complex. There is language a beginner can benefit from to more challenging language for early intermediates to enjoy. A more fluent speaker, I think, will feel pleased that they can just listen and understand. There are so few language channels that get this mix of interest and language progression. I am so glad I found it. It has given me confidence to go from beginner to intermediate.

From June 2017 to July 18 I made some really great Venezuelan friends. They all had advanced college degrees, many of them with European passports, but some of the complained that there was prejudice. Even those who were blond with blue eyes...the Spaniards didn't like their Venezuelan accents and didn't want to rent to some of them.

Is it me or do Venezuelans drop the ‘s’ when pronouncing some words?
It's called Aspirated (Speech) Spanish. Many countries in America make the same but with some variations in each country.
Spaniards also do that, in the region of Andalucia and in Madrid.
My Spanish teacher from Venezuela does that, she pronounces the 's' short and soft. I met some people from Argentina when I was in Bolivia and they dropped the 's' sound completely, which I found really difficult to understand at the time.

On the other hand, most regions in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and central and northern Spain don't do it.

A mí también me encanta Madrid aunque hace más de 35 años que no estoy allí. La ciudad es bellísima y hay tanto que ver, mucho que hacer. Lo que más me acuerdo de la ciudad fue el olor y el clima. Me gustaría volver allá algún día.

Bienvenidos venezolanos a España ,hay muchas zonas de España muy diferente tanto en costumbres ,idiomas , arquitectura ,paisajes climas salid y conocer ,espero os guste
Es cierto que la electricidad - la luz, decimos nosotros - es horriblemente cara en Madrid - una de las más caras del mundo -, pero el error del recién llegado a Madrid suele ser buscar un alquiler en el centro, donde son obscenamente caros.
En los suburbios de Madrid son mucho más baratos, incluso en pueblos limítrofes. Y la calidad del transporte hace posible llegar al centro fácil y rápidamente.

En españa es impresionante, hay más regionalismos que en toda hispano america, jajaj incluso de un pueblo al de al lado puede haber palabras que no entiendan en el pueblo de alado.

Easy Spanish creo que fue esa zona en particular porque cuando yo estaba allá hace seis meses, no vi muchos latinoamericanos en la calle, cuando los vi, normalmente estaba en un restaurante.

No, these were all random people I interviewed that day! It was surprising to meet all the Venezuelans. A lot of Spanish people rejected me, so I ended up only with these interviews which for the topic fitted perfectly for what I was asking! :) Don’t worry, more episodes are coming!

Keep making videos. Especially for your new travel channel. Nosotros necesitamos mas videos de viajes en español. It was also interesting that bigger cities has a diverse population of people from all over the world. I would find it equally interesting for you to interview non native Spanish speakers, not just Madrilenos or Espanoles, that live and work in those cities. They obviously had to have a higher level of Spanish to live there.

Dicen los lingüistas que el español es un idioma que es muy uniforme. Yo tambien pregunto por el baño en España desde siempre y nadie me ha puesto cara rara. Otra cosa es cuando usamos localismos, que son difíciles, por ejemplo preguntar por el señor Roca, Roca es una marca de lavabos, etc. Un amigo de Venezuela me dijo que no era lavabo sino lavamanos, ambas palabras son buenas para entendernos que es de lo que se trata. Mesero no lo usamos, en su lugar usamos camarero. No entiendo el problema del cambio de mesa. No será la primera vez que me cambio de mesa para alcanzar una toma de corriente para el teléfono móvil ( por celular) o el portátil. Ya había oído comentarios sobre las maneras secas de comunicación en España. No cuesta nada mejorar y decir lo siento.

roxy jasprose yea I moved here right after I graduated high school about a year ago because I wanted to go to college abroad and I spoke Spanish fluently so I decided to move to Madrid for college and I love it here so if your thinking about it even if you have some doubt I highly recommend it I came here all by myself not knowing anyone and it was the best life decision I ever made
I was only 17 years old and I had only graduated a day before my flight to Madrid so I was kinda scared but I don’t regret it at all

roxy jasprose no it’s totally fine I’ll answer what ever questions you have. No I didn’t stay in a dorm I had the option too but I found an apartment to share with another girl who I met on Facebook that was studying at the same college as me for cheaper than living in the dorms. They treat foreigners really well here especially Americans they love us. However there is an idea that we’re all wealthy so they’ll try to up charge you on a lot of things so just be confident when your buying stuff so you don’t over pay but if your in the cities like Barcelona or Madrid they won’t do it as much because they’re used to foreigners. I came home for quarantine so I’m in the states right now but when everything clears up I fully plan on returning and I’m going to buy a house and work on getting my spanish citizenship

Vivo en Alcalá de Henares. No es lo mismo que Madrid, los edificios por lo general son más bajos y las calles no son amplios, pero considero la cuidad una pieza de las afueras de Madrid.
