I love all of your videos!!
Not only is it cool to see a bunch of young guys getting into these classic cars...
But, it reminds me of when I was driving my 1974 Buick LeSabre...
The thing was a BEAST... but ran forever!!
My friends and I... Always jacking around with our cars.
My friend Jim, bought a 1976 Buick Electra Park Avenue , with a blown engine... For $500 dollars... Black Beauty with a crushed velvet burgundy interior...
And took the 455 out of his mom's 1970 Buick LeSabre, and put it in the park avenue....
    Later on that summer...
His brother was driving the car one night and on the way home from a night of drinking....
Was speeding his ass off... And hit the cement pillar of the train gates and flipped the car ass end over the front...
A pretty big car with a lot of weight....
I think he chipped his front teeth... And possibly broke his arm!
    Good Times... Lol
I'm surprised my friend Jim didn't kill his brother for fucking up that beautiful car!
    The upside to this story...
I once asked my friend Jim if I could take the car for a drive ... And he handed me the keys... Always a great guy and willing to help his friends!
    Buick..
    Oldsmobile...
    It doesn't matter...
I watch all of your videos....
    Very entertaining... And useful!!
See what I did there? Lol
    Take care 👍
A drummer friend of mine Tom's son Tommy... also a drummer...
Got the opportunity to sit in with steel Panther...
    Doing "HOT FOR TEACHER"
if I can find the video.. I'll share it!!🤘

thats a crazy story about that buick flipping an endo, i know what youre talking about with the pillar, probably 3 feet high. dude was lucky he was as drunk as he was because thats what kept him from dieing... damn...
im glad you enjoy the show and the word play you made on the channel name is exactly how and why i chose the channel name years ago. it leaves me room to post what ever i want because no where does it insinuate cars lol.
dude thats bad ass, getting to hang with steel panther, its funny you mention that it was hot for teacher because they started out as a VH cover band.

I had a 71 Stage 1 455 GS Buick back in the day. It ran pretty good. Buick race parts are expensive as hell and hard to find.

You know what? I'm impressed with the results. You did a great job sanding, priming and painting the Skylark. Heck even with the runners and orange peelers, it still looks snazzy. It also gives character to the Skylark.
Heck, back in summer I've just went straight into wire-wheel-brushing and painting several spots on the inner-fender for the my 66 Deuce and funny thing is, i've haven't learned that maneuver. My hot-rod mentor was more than impressed and he said "well done son! you did more than a great job". Now 'cause of that, I've wire-wheeled and painted several parts, mostly brackets and the battery-tray

thank you, i feel i blended everything into the rest of the car for the most part.
Not bad, id keep it up because every detail counts. thats how i pulled the skylark together so well. eventually you'll have everything looking spiffy under the hood.

No matter how imperfect it may be its back on the road and being enjoyed with past present and hopefully plenty future memories. That's job well done as it is let alone what can be touched up and smoothed as it goes down the road! My Olds is probably the most ran down looking thing switing lanes but it's coming back around while enjoying and people seeing it and taking them back to memories they had with one and happy to see it out and going down the road.

Looks much better. We used to call that a 50 footer. A big ass cam in a 430 Buick engine would make it look even better. Limo window tint would take care of that headliner. A "Stage 2" factory type hoodscoop would be cool.

    • @UsefulEntertainment
      @UsefulEntertainment  7 месяцев назад +1

      Rusty Nail, whats up man!!!
uhh tell me about Buick race parts being expensive... Luckily im not much of a buick engine fan in fact, them and Cadillacs are the 2 i dont really care for. I know the 455 stage cars boggie out pretty good but the oiling problems are too much for me.
a cammed 430 or 455 would be pretty cool but thats just not what i want this car to be. This is the only car we have that hasnt been decked out, i want it to be what it was designed to be when it was sold new, and its like the complete opposite of my cutlass, the cutlass is a mild big block, 4 speed, bucket seat job, I like the buick being a small block, auto bench car. Plus they are both black on black 68 and 69 A bodies.
dont worry, we still call them 50 foot cars, even tho this is more of a 100 ft car lol.
      Hows things on your end???

Pretty much stock except for a TA cam and intake. Had a nice pair of headers on it. Came out of a 72 Skylark. Ole boy daily drove it for years.

Nope, no need to prime it, i sanded the silver paint with 320 and itl act just fine as a pimer.
Lol, they can be street sleepers but this one just has a 2bbl 350, although, i have a 4bbl intake for it. Eventually when i have the time to swap it, ill use the Quadrajet that came off the 350 from the cutlass.
