I feel like you were describing my son there! He's also 4 and he taught himself to read when he was 3, now he's reading at a 2nd grade level. People always think I pushed him for that and ask how I taught him so early, but I NEVER taught him to read, he did it all on his own because he loves learning! We're going to be doing TGATB level 1 next year too

He sounds like my daughter. She is five and has been doing first grade work for about two months now. She finished her kindergarten work in six months and wanted to keep going without a break! She even wants to do school work on the weekends sometimes.

My youngest is the same!!! She loves TGTB!!! My youngest hates handwriting so I do it informally!!! We love TGTB math!!! We do one to one bible time with my youngest and she journals thru drawings!!!

I have a 5 year old starting kinder in the fall. He did start schooling in the 2022/23 school year (along with his older brother) and he loved it! He will be starting kinder at the 1st grade level! How can I not teach him when he just wants to learn?!

Your son sounds like mine. He started reading at 3.5 so most kindergarten curriculums will not work. He’s 5 now so maybe we can check out The Good and the Beautiful level 1!
